hotel needs to be upgraded and brought up to modern stanard
Hotel needs huge refurbihment. The whole hotel has issues, the room was damp the carpets are worn. The ceili g in the main reception was leaking badly and causing a real hazard. The windows were letting in water. On our last day there was no hot water because the oil had run out! If it wasn't for the stunning location we wouldn't have stayed - very disappointing.
Bedrooms very run down. Bath was covered in water stains. Outdated furniture. Carpet in bedroom and stairs very worn.
condition of the hotel very run down in the bedrooms
Food excellent. Staff friendly and accommodating.bedroom spacious and clean
The view from the dining room
The spa -disgraceful. Staff not trained. Bar staff did not know how to serve a G and T. Carpet on stairs to rooms worn and dangerous. Water pouring through celing light on corridor
hotel in very bad state of disrepair
the views were amazing location of this hotel was fantastic

Spectacular views and very safe & private location for children. Great food, scenery and the staff were lovely.
We loved our stay at Ostan Gweedore!
Health suite wasnt workin Loud music from bar at nigh Rooms in need of modernisation Reception checked us in to wrong room, when we entered there was already people in that room
Views were amazing. The Bunbeg area was lovely.
Room that we were allocated smelt of damp, TV did not work, bed linen was dirty. Room was dated and old. It was also very cold.
beautiful area. staff efficient and friendly. good food. the pool was great asset as weather wasn't great. room was a bit rundown looking but comfortable and clean. all in all we enjoyed our stay and would return.
the accommodation area is in need of some repairs. there was a leak at top of stairs with a bucket to capture the leak.....in fairness it had been raining and the bucket was absent the next morning...
Beach and view
clean bed.fresh towels. friendly staff,good food.location beautiful,will be back
nothing, have read some bad reviews about this hotel ie,rundown, needs a bit of paint etc,no big deal, its clean,we enjoyed it
Staff were friendly
the hotel was dirty, first room we were given was not cleaned after the previous guests. Breakfast was one of the worst experiences I have ever had in a hotel, even the tomatoes on the breakfast were burnt. We had booked to stay 4 nights but left after the first night
The views on arrival we're beautiful.
We booked a famy room . Wasn't that when we got there had to be given two rooms which we did not use as we have two children and didn't want to be split up as aFamily . Pool was filthy and we were given three thread bare towels and a hand towel . Took kids out after 10 minutes As was afraid they would catch infection .no tea / coffee facilities I. The room . Damp patches in the walls . Terrible shame as it was our only two days holiday this summer . If the hotel was decorated it would've fabalous . I found it very poor , staff were very good and kind.
The old fashion style
the view from the room was splendid
the food the leisure centre had no loo role no paper towels no towels one toilet working one shower working paint coming of the walls no hot water to shower jacuzzi and sauna not working need i say more
location was lovely, great to walk along the beach, great view from dining room and a very decent breakfast. Room was adequate and accommodated our needs. Other people's comments sort of prepare you to accept a slightly run-down appearance of the hotel in terms of furniture/carpeting/paintwork, but if one can see past all that, one can enjoy the location for the scenery and outdoor fresh air.
Despite the obvious lack of modernisation, a visitor can simply immerse themselves in a past era of seaside splendour and enjoy good, basic facilities within a magnificent scenic setting.
staff very friendly food excellent scenery magnificent
hard to find hotel bit run down
location view food and staff all were excellent hotel could do with a little updating
Located beside beach great for beach walks
Has got very much run down needs cash injection to get back to a three star rating. Sauna and hot tub not working this was two off the reasons we booked this hotel.
The location was the only thing I liked- beautiful beach view
This hotel is run down and falling apart- it is full of mould, the pool is disgusting and the jacuzzi and sauna haven't worked in months. It is disgraceful that this hotel is still open. I would recommend Bunbeg but NOT this hotel
