Location and value for money
Place's managers had care about the needs of customers. Very willing to help.
They had left to the customers the room cleaning and change of towels.
No towels in room when we arrived. Room not cleaned after the first night and towel not changed. Had to ask for towels every day we stayed there.
En suite bathroom
Found two cockroaches and a large spider in room 8.
Very comfortable beds and linen. Nice and contemporary decoration, mellow floors, beautiful design furniture. Safe and free parking not so far from the center. Quiet area. Space for common room and kitchen. Cool spirit.
I liked the impecable linen and the bed placed next to the window. Bathroom is also neat and clean. The house is peaceful.
Just a suggestion: Bathroom would gain if some shelves would be added to have more place for guest's toiletry.
relaxed atmosphere, perfect host, use of well equipped kitchen to avoid cost of eating out, big room, we felt at home in Paddy's house
the en-suite could have been a little bigger
Facilities and hospitality was absent not a good value for money
The WiFi was very good with few interruptions. The cleaner was very pleasant.
At the price the lack of TV or coffee making facilities in the room was unacceptable. The shared kitchen and dining area looked grotty. Don't expect your room to be serviced during your stay. Think university digs and you will get a good idea of the place then look at the price of the room. There are many better out there!
The staff was really nice .
Just the wi fi did not work at my bedroom .
Location of the house and freedom of movement in the house were excellent, very nice room on the top of the house, beautiful view, very relaxed and friendly hosts!
Friendly staff Clean rooms Location Value for money
The premises were situated about 20 min walk from RDS, the area was quiet and you felt safe. The owner and family were very pleasant. We had access to the kitchen
We arrived at about 3.00pm, there were no towels in bedroom, we had to ask on three occasions, they arrived at 11.00pm that night. We were not supplied with towels the next day. There was no TV in the rooms, there wasn't even a co uncial one. No tea making facilities in room. The power shore was great but the water wasn't escaping, so showers had to be cut short.
Wi-Fi was hit and miss
Location, price and friendly staff
Nothing really, all good, especially at the price paid
No phones no tv.
Very friendly and chatty
breakfast free. bed confortable.
a common WC for all the guests. WIFI does not work in the room.
There was nothing to like
We wasn't shown around The owner was nowhere to be seen His 17-18 year old son dealt with us The hostel like room No headboards on beds No proper covers on beds The toilet was tiny Broken sink Room was on top floor
great value, very warm, big room, no fuss, kitchen access if you need it. very relaxed feel to the house. it's a cross between B&B and Hostel but that works well here.
no front doorbell!
Free cereal and toast for breakfast :) Friendly staff Comfortable beds
Breakfast was great, hospitality was incredible, service was spot on. 5 stars
Stayed at Paddy's House for a week from 4th of July to the 11th with my friend and had an awesome time. Staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. It was like being at home.
Didn't like the fact that I had to go home... ;)
Not luxury accomodations by any means but a good value. We stayed two nights, a family of 4 for 100 Euro a night with free parking. Paddy's house is a quick 10 minute bus ride into the O'Connell St area and the bus stop is directly out the front door so you can't beat the convenience. Paddy explained the bus schedule and fares for us so it was easy to hop on in the morning and get back that evening. Eat in the city - there is not a lot to do in the immediate vicinity of the house. The free off street parking is reason enough to stay at Paddy's House. Parking in Dublin city is at least 20 Euro for the day (and driving in downtown can take a few years off your life).
Don't expect the traditional B&B experience. The rooms are large, comfortable and all en suite but you won't be getting a full Irish breakfast. I'd put Paddy's house somewhere between a guest house and a hostel. If you are cool with that, give Paddy's a try for a couple nights in Dublin.
We could take our dog. There was a lovely restaurant close by. The river Dodder nearby was a great area to walk a dog. The room was basic but clean.
I only met a member of staff once. There was no signing in as a guest and we were not given a key to our room.
