A superb example of classic 18th century Georgian elegance in the heart of Dublin's Ballsbridge area, this charming townhouse is ideally located just a 10-minute walk away from the centre of Dublin. Pembroke Townhouse has its own unique, welcoming and friendly personality, only found in a privately-run townhouse such as this. It boasts a beautiful Georgian drawing room, exclusive to guests, and a pantry, which you are free to raid for complimentary tea and coffee and Chef Tiago’s homemade cookies. Pembroke Townhouse is a wonderful place to stay while in Dublin. The view from our room was spectacular and the location perfect - with approx. a 15 minutes walk into the city centre. The staff members were extremely helpful and friendly and the room spotlessly clean and the bathroom ditto. On basic principle it bothered us that we had to pay to use the Internet which ought to simply be part of the service so that guests can book tickets, check weather etc.

Very friendly staff. Beautiful location. Wonderful ambience, comfortable room. Great last minute rate. I didn't have my car with me but I believe they offer free parking which is a fantastic facility as very few hotels in Dublin offer this.

Staff were friendly. My request for a bright room was heeded and that is what I was offered but the receptionist was also nice enough to warn me that it might be noisy (it wasn't excessively so). Breakfast was excellent with lovely scones and a selection of homemade breads and preserves. A nice additional touch was the availability of recipes for some of their home baking. There was also a pleasant sitting area beside the foyer. Late arrival was not a problem, there was plenty of parking, and bus stops for several routes are nearby. Only minor quibbles; the sash window was difficult to open (but when I asked, a staff member ensured that it was opened for me) and the water pressure in the shower was a bit low.

Staff very helpful and pleasant. Service checking in and out was perfect Reception areas very pleasant and comfortable We requested a quiet room and room assigned was very good in that respect. Bed very comfortable. We did not avail of other facilities so cant comment Location very good for lots of venues. Thank you The shower was not seperate to bath which is not ideal as stepping in and out of baths for showers is hazardous. In addition we had a lot of trouble regulating the temperature level in the shower resulting in either practically scalding ourselves or having a cold shower. We eventually abandoned a shower.

The staff are very friendly, the location is good and there is free parking. I feel the rooms were very dated and the bathrooms very old fashioned. I felt it was expensive for what was on offer. Breakfast was not included and the internet had a charge.

Very comfortable bed, staff were very helpful and I enjoyed the drawing room with free tea, coffee and home made biscuits! Although not central, it was a pleasant area to stay in nice and quiet and only a 15 minute walk to Grafton Street. It would be nice to have free wifi as opposed to paying by the hour.

I have stayed at Pembroke House many times and I say again, as I have said several times, the breakfast is excellent, but much too expensive. I am inclined to buy a muffin and make coffee in my room, rather than pay 12.50 - 15.00 euros for breakfast. I can get a lunch or even a dinner for that price in Dublin Center.

Myself, husband and our fourteen year old daughter stayed overnight on Fri.5th of August at the Pembroke Townhouse and really enjoyed our stay.We found Fiona and her team of staff to be very friendly, nothing was too much bother for them. Our room was spotless, and this is one area where I am very particular but I could not find fault. The townhouse is in a great location, we were at the Dublin Horseshow, also it has plenty of good resturants near bye.

It is located in a nice area of Dublin. Very easy to find as we coming up from Waterford and it has secure parking. The rooms are clean and comfortable ideal for a short city break. Staff were pleasant and the lobby sitting room area is very welcoming plus you can help yourself to tea and coffee. To be honest we could,nt fault it

Lovely downstairs rooms to use as needed. Good breakfast. The bed in our room and our friend's room were each rock hard, very very uncomfortable. Also the bathrooms were so tiny that they were very difficult to use comfortably.

Location and the parking facility did not have breakfast so cannot comment on food etc. Unfortunately there was an oversight re. our room the bin in the bathroom wasn't emptied and was overflowing once opened that evening just off putting...... On returning at eightish that evening got into bed very cold as weather not great n had been walking around all day heating wouldn't come on in the room and then realised there was no tea/coffee facilities and I wasn't getting dressed again to go outside to perhaps get a cup of something at reception n as I had already called the guy re the bin I wasn't going to ask him again to get me a cup of tea. So heating should be available regardless Irish summers. Tea etc facilities in room required n rooms need double checking.

Well situated and free parking Breakfast not included in the price we paid and if you did want breakfast it cost €12.50 which I consider too expensive. Our room was very small and offered no privacy from the houses out the back. The window needs muslin curtains in order to give sufficient privacy.

The location was very close to the rds and to restaurants and pubs plus you can park your car. The reception is open 24 hours which was fantastic. The breakfast offered in the morning was superb, all homemade breads, cereals and hot food and the staff were very friendly.I Have stayed here before and have enjoyed Pembroke I was a little disappointed with our room as I had booked a mezzaine split level room for 3 people. The hotel staff told us thst they didn't have split level rooms. The exectutive room that we got was a double room with a third bed pushed into the corner, with furniture squashed to accomodate this, and the beds themselves were uncormfortable as they were very hard, but the room itself was clean. However when I booked through booking.com I had got the room at a discounted rate. I would not have been happy to pay full rate for the room that we got. Overall I did enjoy my stay but it was the location

“The Hotel is very conveniently located, in a safe and very good area, central, with lots of public transportation optinons (bus, train, cab). The price was very affordable considering the hotel itself and the provided services. The breakfest was huge, delicious and always in time. The hotel staff was extremly friendly and helpfull (all shifts). The room very clean, spacious enough, warm and 24/7 hot water. The hotel, room and lounge design is very beautifull and warm, gives the impression of a luxury mansion and the comfort of your home. last but not least, the hotel, rooms, lounge, washrooms are very, very clean. I will definately recommend it to all types of travellers. I will go back if I will travel to Dublin again.” Dan, Brussels |
