Nothing to dislike in my opinion.
The bed was very comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was second to none. The room was small (room 603) but perfect for my needs. Very pleasant & helpful staff. Wifi works without un-necessary complication & for free :o). The location is within 15-20 minutes walking distance of the centre of Dublin (Grafton Street) - perfect for a little exercise visiting the city. 15 minutes walk to the sea. Breakfast is good value and a fantastic & generous spread served in gorgeous surroundings. It's a lovely old building in a block of lovely buildings. I will definitely be back.
Safe location, attention to detail like the elderflower cordial on the reception desk and free coffee/tea with cookies in the reception rooms (though no coffee/tea facilities in the bedrooms), economical pricing, unusual and good quality continental breakfast (cooked breakfast also available), liked having a bath available in the ensuite
No complaints except lack of tea or coffee facilities in the room, but there were free hot drinks and cookies in reception rooms to compensate
Very convenient to walking to the RDS (10 mins) and into Dublin (20 mins)
Everything the only place in dublin we stay in.
Excellent location and decor
The receptionist mislaid my very heavy brass key after I had dropped it off prior to going out to dine. Upon my return, he insisted that I had lost it, and would have to pay to replace it. Argumentatively, he suggested I had taken it out and lost it in the restaurant. CCTV footage was clipped so that I suddenly appeared moving away from the desk, blocking the view of the key. He made only the most cursory attempt to look in alternative locations behind the desk, and then went off duty. I was made to look unreliable and irresponsible in front of my colleagues. Having to pay to replace a very expensive key fob and lock ruined my night's sleep. The next morning he waited until I returned from the breakfast room before letting me know the night porter had located it somewhere behind the desk. There was only the scantiest apology from the receptionist. When I contacted management, I was told patrons often went out without dropping off keys, implying that he was not in the wrong.
As above. Little free perks were lovely
Very small dated tv Shower very temperamental with poor water strength
Location is perfect for travelling to Dublin city centre or to watch rugby match at the RDS/Aviva. Bed was huge and comfortable; free cheese at reception in the evening too!
The young man front of hse 12/12/14, very pleasant & friendly. Location & cheese & biscuits Sat night.
The female's attitude who rang my mobile Thurs 11/12/14 & also on departure from the Townhouse 14/12/14. Shower, powerless & not hot. Toiletries not provided for second night of stay.
Everything. Especially the breakfast - and the coffee cake .
I had a pleasant stay. Staff was very helpful. Location was perfect. Car parking facility was free. Breakfast was beautiful; all breads home baked, great quality food. You could see that extra touch in hotel.
location and staff
Good location nice friendly staff & nice food
The beds and pillows were really hard and probably beyond there sell by date
Close to the center (15 min walking) Quite neighborhood Friendly and very kind staff
Staff very helpful. Breakfast was freshly cooked and divine. Nice baked produce when you checked in. A note on the bed at night letting you know of you want homemade cookies and a cup of tea that we could call down. We were in a triple room. Was grand for what we needed. Sofa bed not that comfy but other than that grand. If looking for 3/4 star go in town go with this. No charge for parking either. If you go for room only rate do get the breakfast the next day. Well worth it. Lots of homemade fresh produce
Cookies and coffee brought to room
This is the second time we have lused this hotel
Have no complaints
Good location, price with discount was what I needed. Good bathroom facilities, good wifi signal, warm room. Friendly staff.
Sound isolation was poor.
Liked the personal touch of cakes and biscuits
The rooms were basic but comfortable and the whole hotel was very hot
Loved the breakfast Free parking Overall a very pleasant stay and will stay there again
Great location and friendly staff
Heating was unbearable - we couldn't adjust at all so were very uncomfortably hot all night. In addition, I can't remember sleeping on a harder bed and pillows! Won't be staying here again
Everything and location was great
Room was nice, clean.
Expensive breakfast, compared to what you get, loads of places outside Overall breakfast system, not buffe but order based, could be better
Pembroke was a nice place for a little cheaper price than many other hotels in Dublin. Our room was small, but clean, staff was nice. It has a free, gated parking lot which is a little hard to find, so stop by the front desk for directions. There are a few restaurants, stores and pubs close by if you need to eat or grab something on your way walking into town and staff can help with recommendations.
The location is a long walk from the center of Dublin. At least a 25 minute walk, about 1.5 miles from the main areas.
