location staff food
insufficient staff - particularly in the bar, small room and chipped bath, not very clean, unable to open the windows because of insects - mosquito nets would resolve this
staff amazing views lovely breakfast
could be cleaner
Staff were really nice
The room we stayed in had a tiny window and we didn't have a view, even though the room was spacious the beds were not comfortable and there was no parking spaces
The location , the view , the food, peaceful .Music in bar sat night.Nice staff
location hard to beat
all the steps into bedrooms and bathrooms, could be a safety issue for lots of people
Our room was just above a wedding function and the music went on until 2.30am when we finally complained, I think we managed about 3 hours sleep however the manager did not charge us for the room. The food was just ok, the staff were very nice.
We had a great 2 nights stay it was mid week an was quite ready enjoyed ourselves
The staff were all very friendly
We arrived Saturday 2nd August at 16.30 and were given room 30 which had a balcony and a lovely view. We went to bed at 09.30 only to be woken by extremely loud music coming from directly below us. We got up and went to reception and requested to be moved. We were told no more rooms available due to wedding on. I looked at where the band was playing we were in the worst room in the whole hotel our bed been 15 feet above the band. this went on till 2am. We should not have been given a room like this when we were not part of the wedding and should have been told when checking in. Then to make matters worse on Sunday the following night there was another band playing in the same location . we again asked to be moved but were told all rooms were full. We then discovered that there was another wedding the following Friday and at this stage we deceided that we would either get another room our leave the hotel as we would not go through another night of this. We were moved to room 212 on Friday evening and could not hear any music. Selling anyone a room like room 30 knowing there is music going on at night and not telling the people is just dishonest. If we had know this when checking in we would have cancelled our booking and moved to another Hotel. Very bad form.
location, staff. overall lovely
.lack of parking'
Beautiful location NIce room with great view Friendly staff
Location and helpful staff
We were allowed bring our dogs . Location is simply amazing eating your breakfast overlooking stunning lake
Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was not too bad, slow however at replacing items that had run out.
The hotel did not live up to the gallery of pictures on the internet. It is very tired, needs a lot of TLC to bring it back up to the standard expected. Curtain fell down on us. Furniture old and not in good order. Tiles on the bathroom floor were lethal when wet!! Tried to get a sandwich at 9.00 pm because we arrived back late and couldn't get anything as the "kitchen closes at 8.45 pm". Quite frustrating when the hotel is not near a shop!
Location, service, restaurant situation and view
Rooms a little dated; food quality not as good as it was; service during weddings can be poor due to no extra staff
Poor bar staff,(during day) didn't seem to care about the place or customers. Got a cup of coffee without a saucer and a badly cracked jug with milk, I did make a complaint and was told it would be passed on
The scenery from bed room and dinning room was fantastic and the food was excellent. As the Hotel is at a large lake the opertunity for fantastic photoes is every where.
Everything except the large wedding party of the night we stayed. We have stayed before and highly recommend buy would have liked a different room. The staff and management were very helpful in resolving our issues. Again highly recommended and will stay again.
Really nice location!!food was good to
Wifi was more less non existing!!
large comfortable rooms. warm hotel with comfortable beds easy drive to nearby towns
not enough car parking spaces, had to park on main road which didn;t feel was a safe option, particularly at night.
Staff very plesant and helpful
Thin walls could hear people in next room talking.
Beds, view and food.
No internet access. Ethernet in room did not work an wifi in lobby did not work. Staff know nothing about fixing it.
Food was only lukewarm not a great choice had a person with a wheelchair bathrooms were very poor for someone on a wheelchair bedrooms not very accessible for a wheelchair had to go through numerous doors curtains falling down on the wheelchair accessible bedroom and walls were dirty
Hotel had a certain charm, food was really good and the location second to none. amazing view of lake from our room
Parking lot very crowded to such an extent I damaged my car on a wall trying to get out. cars were not parked in parking spots causing a lot of congestion. I was parked in a disabled spot and was shocked at lack of consideration by other motorists blocking me in.
Why do I have to pay for a poor breakfast (no cheese; no pudding) in this outside of all cities Other Guests were not quiet
