The suite was large, clean and nicely decorated. The beds were veyr comfrotable as well. The choice and quality of food.. As a vegetarian there was little to choose from a jaclet potato or pizza. When i amy non vegetarian friends got our meal it was poor-even the chips were tasteless. THe bar had no atmosphere. I wouldn't eat in the Carlton again but the rooms are great.

Good location, apartment size very roomy. Friendly check-in staff and good entertainment at night. Very good bar food. Early morning noise- bins being collected. Rowdy noisy neighbours. Disappointing breakfast-hot food not hot, unable to charge breakfast to room.

The staff were very helpful, the bedrooms and bathrooms very clean. The food in the restaraunt was very good. The pool and games room were brilliant for the kids. We booked an apartment. The layout was excellent it was 2 bedrooms with a room between. The sitting room had a strong smell of stale cigarettes. The couch gave me the shivers it was that stained and grubby. The carpet and walls were stained. The bedrooms were fine and clean but the sitting room was poor. There could also have been a cooker. It looks like the room has been ruined by stag and hen parties. We also had to pay €2.00 per towel at the pool which was not refundable.

Loved the pool and jacuzzi. Didnt like that we had to go through the leisure centre to get to block D. At one point there was a training session on. Out of hours the main door to leisure centre was locked. A card access entry for residents would be great.

Breakfast was served until 11am which meant you didn't need to get up too early. It was really close to Eyre Square and prices both in the hotel and around the city for food and drink were very reasonable.

The suite we booked was very spacious and comfortable. The staff were very polite and helpful during out stay. The hotel was located just outside the city, however there were taxi's outside whenever we needed to avail of them. Very happy with our choice of accommadation. The one facility out of service was the sauna - which was unfortunate. But this was only a very minor point.

The only thing to recommend it is that it has suites with a kitchenette.we were travelling with an older daughter who was participating in the first inaugural Irish Iron Man event and needed to be able to cook some food for herself. The kitchenette had a microwave and a kettle! Hardly a kitchenette , it also had a dishwasher but no dishes in which to cook, not a bowl or a jug NOTHING! D block which is the suites, was a long way from the main entrance and the side entrance is locked at 9 pm and is not open at 6 am, there needs to be a swipe card system to enter. The rooms were not serviced ( they told me that as a suite it would not be but there were not enough towels etc and there was no information on my booking that saidnthat this would be the case) would not use them again.

Lesiure centre was excellent great changing rooms etc. Kids club very accomidating felt at easy leaving kids in I had a suite doors not child friendly kept springing back. No enough beds i thought it would have 2 double beds or double with 2 single. Didnt like being at the back of the hotel felt familys excluded from hotel a little as entrance was to the back over the lesiure centre, Also the lorrys could be heard unloading in the back carpark in the mornings

Great Staff, Nice Hotel, Good Atmosphere in the bar area. Excellent service by food waiting staff, live music Friday and Saturday Breakfast not included and cost of breakfast to add on was extortionate. €13.50 Our suite cost €423 for two nights... You would expect to get your breakfast at that rate.

The suites are very comfortable. The bedrooms are spacious and well presented. The kitchen area is tiny. It isnt really a kitchen, rather theres a seating area/dining room table with chairs and the kitchen consists of a fridge and sink.Very little crockery but that said its a good facility and more relaxing that just being in a bedroom.

The staff where excellent, the price of a pint of Guiness would be very hard to beat in a hotel at €3.75,when i asked to put on a sport on the giant screen there was no hesitation, all in all very happy. Only thing i didnt like was the creeking of what i can only say was the ceilings when we opened our window's in the suite,it was like there was someone in an upstairs room but we were on the top floor but thats the only thing i can fault.

Hotel has a great swimming pool my children loved it!! Hotel very close to city centre and easy to get to. Room smelt of smoke when we first arrived but we got the windows open and got the rooms aired. The suite was a bit of a trek from reception which isnt ideal with children and luggage but all n all we really liked the hotel and would def return.
