they were excellent, quite big and roomy, very clean. they were 8 of us girls, we booked two suites, and had a fab stay. it was great to have a living room n kitchenette where we could relax. 5 minutes drive into the city centre, we will definitly be staying here again....

No room cleaing at all during our 3 night stay, despite putting the 'Refresh room' sign on the door. Kitchen lacks cleaning equipment.

Rooms were clean and comfortable and the living area great for the family. The fun club for children was great. Location perfect for easy access to local attractions and shops.

As self catering we didn't have towels changed automatically.

We had a fantastic stay at the Carlton Suites in Galway. As we were travelling with small children we found the hotel met all our needs. The swimming pool was a very enjoyable way to spend the mornings entertaining the kiddies, and then the childrens club in the evening had excellent friendly staff who kept the lil uns happy while mum and dad were able to enjoy a nice meal and few beverages in the hotel bar. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone travelling with a young family and we will definitely be returning again x

The only negative thing I can write about the hotel is the fact that they charge (although a minimum fee of 50c) for a glass of childrens diluted blackcurrant or orange!!!

I have stayed in the Carlton before but was a bit disappointed this time as it was hard to sleep with workers making noise outside... We paid 380 euro for two nights which we should have been able to sleep. Also the food we got in the hotel was cold. On the other hand I thought the swimming pool was fantastic and was great for kids. The receptionist was extremely friendly too and very helpful.

The location is pretty good and easily accessible from the Dublin Road. Taxi service which is accessible from outside the door without having to call is very good.

This was my second stay in the Carlton and I was very disappointed. I stayed a little over 12 months previous in a 2 bedroom suite and I was very very pleased with everything. I could hardly believe how dramatically the standards have fallen. As I had recommended it to my friends this time I was very embarrasses! The bedroom was fine and clean. The bathroom ok. The living room was grotty the couch and armchair are filthy - the arms of the chairs had sticky sweets still on them. The carpet was filthy. The cutlery and crockery had old food on it, when we opened the dishwasher we actually thought there was a bin full of old rubbish some where because of the smell from it. There was no cloth/s to wipe the counter/sink. The suite we were in was 3117 so we were on the top floor - on Friday night we hardly slept as the wind was blowing something on the roof and it sounded like someone was dancing on the roof for the whole night.

The only improvements i would suggest based on our stay would be the carpets cld have done with a gd clean in our suite also toilet brush needed replacing as it was filthy. Other than those very minor issues we had a great time and loved thr hotel and its marvellous facilities.

I love the apartment,we stayed in a one bed apt it was spacious and very well presented.

We stayed 2 nights we put up the service room sign on the door before we went out and when we returned a few hours later the room had not been cleaned, bed made etc...yet the cleaner was down the hall servicing rooms when we were leaving to do some shopping.....during the day you could use the leisure centre entrance as a quick route to our apartment which was so covienent but when the leisure centre closed they looked the door meaning you had to go through the hotel walk a series of coridors and lifts etc...all the had to do was put a key card on the door for guest access only....very confusing going through the hotel

I loved the look of the place as we pulled up. the friendliness of the staff. the rooms were excellent. when there was something wrong with our room we were promptly moved to another room which was perfect.

The suite was large, clean and nicely decorated. The beds were veyr comfrotable as well.

The choice and quality of food.. As a vegetarian there was little to choose from a jaclet potato or pizza. When i amy non vegetarian friends got our meal it was poor-even the chips were tasteless. THe bar had no atmosphere. I wouldn't eat in the Carlton again but the rooms are great.

location, friendly staff, rooms spacious and apartment well equipped. only problem was the ironing board, it was attached to trouser press and lead was very short. everything else was perfect ;-)

Nous avons adoré le cadre de l'hôtel avec sa grande entrée, sa facilité de circulation pour les véhicules, le parking. Le hall d'accueil est trés spacieux et chaleureux; le coin salon était agréable aussi; notre appartement était trés confortable, trés propre. Le coin cuisine ne disposait pas de beaucoup d'équipement mais le lave vaisselle était bien pratique (de plus le personnel le vidait lors du nettoyage de la chambre), deux grandes télés (une dans le séjour, une dans la chambre), une entrée spacieuse. Attention le fer à repasser chauffe vite. Les serviettes étaient régulièrement changées. Que dire de la piscine ? superbe, c'était trés agréable en rentrant des exercusions, de plus elle ferme tard et un petit bain à 9 heures le soir, c'est sympa. Seul hic, ma carte bleue visa n'est pas passée. La réceptionniste m'a quand même remis la clé (en fait des cartes) et j'ai payé en liquide; mon banquier m'a signalé que celà pouvait arriver. Rien à dire sur cet hôtel, il était génial.

Comme toujours des voisins indélicats qui braillent dans les couloirs à 7 ou 8 heures du matin ou le soir après minuit. Il suffit d'appeler la réception et ils font le nécessaire.

Les suites sont très grandes, 2 véritables pièces avec même un grand couloir.

La vue est inexistante, on donne notamment sur le parking des bus

The staff at the Carlton were excellent. The pool and activity/fitness area were first rate.

The suite we were given was not ready until 3:45, even though they advertise 3:00. The room was not as clean as I expected, the carpets were worn , there were stickers from the previous people on the walls and the furniture, the coffee cups in one of our rooms had not been washed, there was chocolate on the sheers and the windows had not been cleaned.The place for cooking was only for microwaving food...this should not be considered a suite. The rooms were located just above the garbage, recycling and delivery area and every morning the trucks would arrive at 6:00 or earlier . The rooms were warm so we slept with the windows open which didn't help. It felt as if we were given second rate rooms even though we had booked and paid for them in full in March...A renovation is required to update the rooms we were in
