the warm water in the pool!!
The staff are very professional and very friendly !
I can't understand why the DONT serve breakfast to the room but the do serve lunch and dinner ? I asked why? They said we don't serve "HOT" food to the room ?? But yet on the room service menu there's nothing but hot food on the menu ?????
The area was a little rough (next to halting site).
i did not like this hotel as when i booked with booking .com the asked how would i like to pay imy choice was cash ,when i arrived at the hotel the lady at reception told me she cannot take cash i then offered my visa debit she said she could not take this either ,i asked for the manager the manager paul told me the same thing that i need a credit card as i do not like spending money belong to other people i do not have a credit card i was told i could not book at the hotel after i namesake some one working there i was left stay so i would be very careful booking with this hotel as if i was from another country i would of being left stranded so just beware booking with the maldron hotel in future
Good location Great price
Double bed was too singles pushed together Hairs in the shower and cracked tiles in bathroom Rude receptionist Requested a travel cot while booking had to ring down twice for it
The staff were very ignorant and refused to let me pay by cash after my credit card was declined so therefore I was not allowed in. I saw other people paying buy cash!!!
Less than 10 euros in a taxi to the city centre Room price was reasonable Room was clean with almost everything you'd expect
Double bed was two singles pushed together Could hear noise from other rooms e.g. showers running, doors slamming, etc Didn't feel safe to leave the hotel grounds although I may be just prejudice on this.
Room was cold
Parking easy & free, wifi, hotel decor, Xmas tree in lobby, atmosphere great, rooms big and luxurious, bar food lovely as was service. Pool area good
The bar and restaurant was lovely and the breakfast was very nice but selection was a little poor . Room was spacious and the beds were very comfortable .
It was very noisy at night due to cars passing outside . Patio door would not lock which was a bit of a pain .
I tride to order my breakfast to my room ! Was told that they " don't " serve hot food to the rooms ! But yet they served me a hot food to my room for lunch ???
Bar food reasonably priced. Leisure centre great, taxis readily available.
Lovely bedroom. Nice staff. Excellent breakfast.
Radiator in bedroom would not turn off. Room was like a furnace. Had the window wide open all night but still uncomfortable. Noisy neighbours banging on doors at 3am and 6am did not help.
staff very friendly and help full.rooms clean and warm.
food in the bar was horrible and grossly overpriced.
Confort, facilities & location.
Went fir breakfast before 9am...."hot breakfast" items were barely warm wich was very disappointing. Otherwise no complaints.
Spacious room, comfy bed, free parking, free (and good) wifi. Very friendly staff, going the extra mile.
Nothing really, furniture is a bit outdated but pfh, hotel is not overpriced for it. ;)
Food in bar wasn't the best.
Room was clean and at first glance quite comfortable.
When given the option to choose between a double bed or twin beds I choose a double bed. What I got was two twin beds shoved together. I basically ended up paying to wake up with a headache.
The staff in the leisure centre were very friendly and welcoming and the portions in the restaurant were of a decent size.
We arrived late in the evening and the check in staff member was not one bit helpful. She asked us payment upfront rather than wait for check out, although we explained that we would like to charge food to our room and pay one full card payment. We were given no directions to our room or general hotel information. When we got to our room, the counter top in the bathroom was filthy, there was no hand wash in the dispenser, less than half a roll of toilet roll, there were two big marks in the bath that resembled cigarette burns, but the one thing that really annoyed us was upon booking with booking.com, we had requested a full double bed. When we arrived on the Tuesday night, we had two lumpy single beds pushed together...not ideal for me, as I'm heavily pregnant. We were rudely awoken at 9.30 by house keeping, wishing to clean our room, although we had a "do not disturb" sign displaying. Surely, she should be given a list of occupied rooms and guests checking out on that day. The hotel general areas seem modern but the room needs alot of tlc. We wanted to have a relaxing night away but it just didn't even come close and it was money wasted.
Everything clean and tidy
The location of the hotel is horrific. To compemsate for such a terribke location, the hotel shiykd come above standards in all other regards. The staff do not have the customer service skills or finesse that any hotel staff should have. While eating breakfast one of the managers was not short of shouting at customers. Everyone else in the room could hear the conversation. Very poor. The residents bar was meant to be open until 4 am, when we returned at 3.30 it was closed. While that is fine, saying to residents it is open until 4 am is misleading. Finally, the cost to stay in hotel with such failures, rather adds insult to injury.
Staff were very welcoming and helpful for any special requests. I arrived at 21.15 and they were happy to rustle me up some nice food in the bar which was just the ticket.
Hotel nice good room and close to hospital.
I stayed here as my grand mother was in Limerick hospital after an accident on holiday. I asked the hotel if they would hold her suitcase for me but being 21 meant I wasn't taken seriously and they wouldn't hold it for me. Extremely rude in my opinion. After speaking with my father the hotel agreed to hold it but only after id driving up to Belfast to drop it off elsewhere.
The only thing I really liked was the reception area and the bar. The rest was pretty poor.
Staff wasn't to friendly at reception area but bar staff were good.
