Spotlessly clean, with polite and attentive staff. Noisy children at times, but no real problem, this is a family hotel after all!

Our room was very spacious and there were plenty of towels supplied for our use. The teen room in the hotel was a big hit with our eldest child.

The hotel had lots of facilities available to families, not far from the centre of town. We would not hesitate to stay again.

The resturant was lovely and the childrens buffet is a great idea. No waiting around for food for the children. The facities for kids under 4 aren't great. The times for supervised playing aren't very useful.

We were looking for time away from home to relax with our 3 month old baby and we found the hotel perfect for this. The staff were very welcoming. Originally, I had booked the triple room to include the baby but the staff were happy to change to a double room with space for the travel cot on arrival. The hotel had an excellent child friendly environment with great facilities for children and teenagers. These included a jungle gym, play ground, activity club daily from 11am - 3pm and a games room for teenagers. I used the leisure facilities and found them to be more than satisfactory. Also, I indulged in some of the spa treatments and thoroughly enjoyed them. There was a fantastic family atmosphere in the restaurant and the staff was extremely pleasant. The food was satisfactory and reasonable priced. It's a great place to chill with the family and we will definitely return in the future. Clonakilty is a short walk away (10/15mins) and inchadoney beach is near by too. We definitely recommend the hotel to families.

The facilities for young children is second to none. There is a swimming pool/ toddler pool that is lovely and warm. Teen room is great and we were ablet o use it even though our kids were 8,6,3 - there seemed to be no problem. We put the boys into the playzone for an hour each evening (just for some 'us' time) which was well supervised. The breakfast was fantastic and catered for all our taste. The food was lovely and the staff accommodated the boys wherever we wanted to eat - restaurant or bar. In fact, it seemed to us that the kids were central. The girl at reception was brilliant at recommending day trips and in fact managed to organise a boat trip even though it was first week in Jan. Very impressed and would highly recommend for a break with children.

The hotel rang a few days previous to our stay as they had over booked on family rooms and offered a free upgrade to a suite.however we didnt realise until we got there that the suites were across the road and not part of the main hotel.i feel this should have been explained to me on the phone.

The food in the bar was lovely, nice atmosphere there also. The hotel staff were lovely and very accommodating. The room was ok but very basic, The double bed was standard size and not very “inviting”. Hotel rooms are supposed to be extremely inviting and temp you to spend your night there rather than out and about. This unfortunately was not the case in this hotel. In all I would recommend the hotel to families rather than youngish couples, it’s the 7th hotel we have stayed in this month in the Cork area, but it unfortunately was the most basic and definitely needs a face lift. All hotels I have stayed in were around the €100 euro mark so it wasn’t that much cheaper. But from a comfort point of view it was definitely the most basic.
