Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location , fantastic onsite facilities for families . Rooms are very big . DVD rental service is fantastic . The Kids loved it . The pool is great , perfectly equipped gym and kids play area - indoor and outdoor . Clonakilty itself is a tabloid little town We'll see be back again soon . . The model village in the town is well worth a visit .
The bar area is very tired and dated , could do with a refurb . Also the food needs addressing , it seems very 1980's . Overcooked pre-prepared veg , plastic tasting sauces etc ... Hot Breakfast buffet was starting to dry up and the sausage bacon and waffles were hard due to them sitting in the Bain-Marie too long . On quieter times and midweek the hotel should probably have the breakfasts cooked to order to ensure a better quality . We ate out for breakfast lunch and dinner on the second day due to poor food quality .
every thing lovely place will stay longer next thank you
their is nothing not to like sould leave this this space blank
- Location - Facilities - Value for money
- We had to ask staff 3 times for items missing from the apartment - Kitchenette is tiny - Lights/TV kept dropping out - Living area quite cold and uncomfortable - Dated decor - Unventilated bathroom - wet floor in the morning from condensation
The staff here are very good . But in our opinion way over worked ! It seems like they way under staffed .
The beds here are awful ! We stayed in room 214 and we didn't sleep as you could feel the springs. I think it needs a little updating ! Small things like putting handles on the wardrobe door . It does look a little unloved. The breakfast also is very poor with it being dried up and over cooked with poor quality sausages . Room only maybe a better option !!
This is the ideal place for a quick and easy family get away. My son loved every minute of our two day trip. He enjoyed the jungle gym, the pool and also the kids camp. My husband enjoyed Thx movies, game room and swimming pool. I enjoyed the jacuzzi, sauna and my treatments. It was definitely worth it and I highly recommend.
the relaxed and comfort of the hotel , it is a great place for the children, and the staff are very helpful at all times, the entertainment is also good .
Shower!! Bathroom floor soaked after shower
The rooms were very clean and loads Of room, the beds were very comfortable and the staff were very nice. The girl at the cafe at the swimming pool On the Sunday morning 4th of Jan was very good at her job esp. when they were crazy busy
The only thing I'd say is I think the bar should be open for food stright away when the breakfast room shuts. We had to dine in the gym cafe instead of the bar as breakfast was finished and the bar was still shut when we checked out at 12. There was no where to get a glass of water the night we stayed there as the residents bar was shut when we got in and the room service had finished. The person told us on the phone we could get refreshments in the vending machine at the pool but it didn't have one drink in the machine.
The room, the pool, staff, facilities, price
The food, v poor
Everything great leisure complex, bar, food etc. And an adjoining cinema if bored.
Room window was open and heater not on. Middle of the winter ?? If you are going to rent a room that is booked in advance house keeping need to think ahead. Otherwise great........
Stayed for the Clonakilty Marathon so it was very convenient for race start and finish
The WiFi did not work Accommodation was expensive
I spent 2 nights in the quality hotel clonakilty, over all it was a nice 2 days, its a child friendly hotel with plenty for children to do, had a slight problem with being overcharged for a meal by €140 when I spoke with the receptionist about the issue she was very rude and un helpful, other than that we had a nice time
The kids facilities are second to none with nice friendly staff.
The hotel was very cold. The breakfast is poor and really lets the place down. Kids soft play area is fab but you have to pay €4 each time you go in and with a toddler wanting to go in and out every hour or so it ended up being very costly.....they should look at a day rate so that hotel residents can come and go as they please!!
Amazing place staff and facilities
Not a lot to dislike
Location to nearby hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff, especially at breakfast time.
Directions to the apartment were poor. No toaster in the kitchen 2-bed apt could do with 2nd bathroom
Loved the family facilities, they really provide everything young kids & parents could want.
Only negative is the breakfast selection is really poor.
Room was a good size. I used the gym which is small but functional. Location is handy, we walked into town in about 10 minutes or so. A basic hotel but ok. Would stay again
Food was basic, bed not too comfortable. A basic hotel.
Very quiet at night--even though we stayed on a Saturday night.
The hotel was nice and warm
A wake up call was an hour late
Excellent value for money, all facilities
We found the entertainment man to be extremely arrogrant on the Saturday night. He came over to our table on Saturday night and spoke extremely rude to us! We have been going to your hotel with 14 years and love it but as I said the entertainment man was so rude with his remarks to our table.
Stayed here for one night as we were going to a wedding at another hotel in town. Didn't spend much time in our room or try any of the hotel facilities as we were out very late and up early but our room was very big and spacious. Facilities were top notch from what we saw and staff were very polite.
Wish to stay longer
There was one thing that I did not like about the Hotel. Myself and my partner came down for breakfast at 10.20. Breakfast is suppose to be serving until 11 but when we came down, there was hardly any food. We paid 9 euro each and we did not get our money worth. We got instead, what looked like heated food that was left over from earlier. It did not taste good. I think if a Hotel is serving until 11 then it should be serving until 11 or else advertise breakfast serving until 10. That was my only complaint. I hope in the future that when I stay again that I get a hot cooked breakfast and not left overs that have been heated in the microwave.
Loved everything about this hotel , loved it so much I booked another stay in it , would highly recommend it
