The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was great. We were going to the Marquee to a concert, and the hotel provided a bus to and from the Marquee which was very convienent, as we did not know Cork too well. The times for the breakfast was also very accomodating, and there was a huge spread put on. The quality of the food was very good too. Parking was very limited and inconvienent. The power of the shower in our en suite was very disappointing and the window in our room would not close. We were told that we could check in after 2pm, but when we arrived at 2.30pm, our room was not ready. |

The Hotel is centrally located and handy for travelling to the city centre on foot There was not ample parking for guests and staff could have been more helpfull whilst guests were attempting to find alternative arrangements to park their cars. Also the signage to direct guests to the hotel is not clear so perhaps they could consider better signs |

Central location, friendly staff, good value and a leisure centre to boot Staff should be vigilant about ensuring access up to and around the main door of the hotel is kept free and that the no parking rule in this area actually enforced. It was actually difficult for us to exit the hotel with our luggage as two vehicles had parked right up to and directly in front of the front door. |

Friendly and helpful staff in reception and at the pool. We had a very large room on the 3rd floor however, this can be pot luck as I have had a room on the top floor in the past and it was tiny. The lack of security in the pool area. There was no way to secure the lockers. As I had my room key in my bag it was not safe to leave it there. Also there was a code number for the door to the dressingrooms however I did manage to open the door without using the code. Staff were very helpful and offered to mind my bag for me. |

it's proximinity to the centre of the city. p.s. this is our third year staying in this hotel. the standards have lapsed.greatly. probably wont stay there again.forgive me if you consider this a complaint. i could have said nothing and never stay in maldron hotels in the future. your receptionist was pleasant and helpful. the parking was very bad.and the room very basic and not very clean. only enough towels for one person. we had to ask for more to be sent up to the room.curtains did not fit the windows properly. |

restaurant/bar area was welcoming, also the swimming pool was a hit with the kids! I think it would have been far better value for money if breakfast was included in the price. this would certainly encourage us to return to this hotel. I noticed at least one other guest who felt so upon checking out. |

Reception area is lovely. Very deceptive. I checked out of the hotel after discovering the the mattress was sagging and had springs poking from it. The central heating did not work, I was cold. All three of the lamps in the room did not work. The room was small and dingy and in a very poor part of the city. It is a converted hospital building. |

What i liked about my stay was the value for money and the easy walk to town center My only one small complaint was the fact the room was not heated when i came back up from the warm hotel bar, but after afew pints it didnt really matter in the end. |

Good, central location; spacious room. Some rooms face the Shandon bell, so earplugs may be necessary if your room is on that side of the building. During my stay there were several assets within the hotel that were not working (the pc in the lobby, the steam bath in the wellness area and several little ting everywhere), which gave an unpleasant feeling of carelessness. |

reception staff were nice. (1) A double room was requested for the duration of our stay, we were granted with two single beds pushed together, extremely uncomfortable, needless to say not impressed. (2) TV was too far away from the beds, therefore was not worth watching. (3) requested non-smoking room, from moment of arrival could smell cigarette smoke in the room, again disappointed. |
