Location was good. Room/bathroom was clean. Staff were friendly Noise issues from adjoining rooms and corridor - there appears to be very little sound insulation. Television and talking could be heard distinctly. |

I was very pleased with our stay the staff were very helpful and friendly, anything we wanted we got with no hassle or quims. The food was beautiful and the fact that we booked a suite worked out ideal for the kids and ourselves. I will go back to this hotel My only fault with the hotel was the kiddies pool was very cold - I had a 3 year old and a 10month old and found it way too cold for them. |

I liked the leisure facilities in the hotel Also the entertainment was good.Kids facilities wes good Rooms were freezing, We went as a family of 14 and between us we stayed in 6 bed rooms and 4 of the rooms required heaters after we requested them.No hot water for showers in the rooms on the morning we left.In 1 of the rooms the toilet was blocked, we reported thos to the night porter, however nothing was done about it. |

staff were efficient and friendly, hotel was clean, breakfast was good. also close to galway city. the directions from web site were wrong for one of the roundabouts after Gort. There were not enough towels supplied in the hotel. No mushrooms at breakfast although on the menu. |

The location is good, close to a main road. The hotel is big, but staff is not able to organise a toothbrush within 30 minutes. The spa and pool area is rather cold. The changing rooms would need considerably more cleaning. The sauna is cold. And very unhygienic, as people come in with their full swimsuits on. |

The staff were really polite and very helpful. And the Residents bar at night opened late! I didn't like the food at dinner. And the location does not suit girls who go out dancing! |

Staff were friendly and welcoming. The hotel was very clean. Even though there were lots of small children also staying at the hotel we didn't hear them in our room. Good selection for breakfast. Bar had lots of different seating areas. It was impossible to read in our room, so I had to remove a lampshape in order to see the print. When I mentioned this at reception she joked about coming to the hotel to relax, not read. I relax by reading and to have time to read is my idea of relaxing. We picked the Carlton Hotel because they have a swimming pool. We used the pool twice and it was chilly, both the water and air temperature. My 68 year old mother couldn't stay more than 15 mins in the water or she started to shiver. Once I stopped doing laps I found it cold and had to get out. We don't like overheated hotels, we usually turn off the heat and open the window as soon as we arrive. |

It is a very friendly hotel and the staff are always very helpful. The buffet breakfast is the best ive ever seen. The beds and pillows are very uncomfortable and the hallways and bedrooms are always too hot. |

when I say the comfort , the walls seem very thin & a hall door creaking every time it was opened kept me awake, In hindsight I should have asked for a quiet room, |
