The staff were not very friendly or attentive. The beds were incredibly uncomfortable, and the pillows were very flat. The room was quite cold. The bath was filthy and the plug would not close.

To be honest, I didn't like anything about this hotel and would not stay here again. I felt the location of the hotel was too far out from the town to go out and enjoy a drink in the town without having to get a taxi. I felt that it was very noisy and the serive and food standard was poor. I felt the room was clean but the corridoors, carpark and the area outside the hotel was dirty and needed to be painted.

The family room was spacious. We didn't like the tv in the bar blaring all day. There were four of us in he room, we only had two glasses and 3 mugs. We had a smoking room and a balcony but no ash tray.

it's cheap. The only plus - if I paid anything more I'd be really annoyed. Basically this hotel is a monument to the celtic tiger, now very much down on it's luck. The decor is both outdated and shabby, and it's screaming for a makeover. The room was clean and the bathroom close to - apart from the scattering of pubic hair in the bath. Receptionist was superfriendly though. This hotel is basically a flop-house, it's cheap and adjust your expections accordingly.....

Staff were friendly Got jug of water delivered to the room (20 mins after requested) Bar was blasting out music and dj was shouting over the mic (we were in our room trying to get to sleep) Room furnishings eg tv, chairs were worn and outdated. We were placed in a room that was not in a good location Wifi was not available in the room There was no slippers Overall wished we had gone to the ferrycarrig hotel just down the road.

We had booked our stayed as a group for two nights over the New Years. We were not advised that there would be numerous familys there. As a group, our rooms should have been located near each other. Instead, we were located beside families with young children. The children were running riot in the hallways early in the morning and in the evenings when we were trying to relax. Also, when we came in from a night out to enjoy a night cap in the residents bar, there were children running around the bar and seating area, and playing in the elevators in their nightwear. I feel that we should have been advised of the number of families that had booked that same weekend! I have previously stayed in the hotel, and had a pleasant experience, but this had alteredy view some what!

All I can say is it was like a cattle market with children running everywhere. I found the bar so packed we could not get a seat and the entertainment was horrendous. Thks

The receptionist was very welcoming and was very helpful. The room was very cold. There was a draft from the windows and there was a continuous noise all night long from the traffic on the road . My fiancée got very little sleep. We had to take duvets from the other two beds in the room to keep us warm as well as wearing extra clothes we had.

I would have absolutely no hesitation staying at the Maldron Hotel again. The place was very clean and the bedrooms were spotless! (even the smoking rooms!) Every member of staff who we spoke to was professional, courteous and extremely obliging. We had an evening meal in the bar which was lovely. As it was the festive season all the hotel was in the spirit of Xmas with plenty of lights outside on all the surrounding trees, and a big Xmas tree in the foyer. All in all, a VERY pleasant stay, and i would definately recommend.
