This is not a four star hotel: it is a wedding venue. Upon arrival at 10pm there appeared to be a wedding and 21st birthday party occurring simultaneously in the hotel lobby. The music was very loud and there were empty drink glasses everywhere (some of which were still there the following morning), including on the reception desk where we were checking in. I had to move a near empty pint of Guinness on the reception desk in order to swipe my credit card and sign in. As no attempt was made by staff to remove the pint glass, it would appear that this is a normal occurrence at this hotel. We were told our room would be in the "quiet" part of the hotel. It wasn'T. It overlooked the main entrance to the hotel, which serves as the smoking area and the drop-off point for taxis and busses. The noise was constant and continued late into the night, to include two fights between wedding guests. The room itself (while clean), necessitated walking the length of the hotel and taking two elevators to reach. It was also small, dark (not helped by the filthy windows) and needlessly overcrowded with dated furniture. While it did have a large balcony, we could not access this for "health and safety" reasons. The heating was broken so that the room was constantly too warm and the water pressure in the bathroom was very poor. This room was not worth the money charged and was not of a four star hotel standard. It did not match the description or photos on the booking.com website. Wedding guests and group tours would appear to be allocated the best rooms at reduced rates, while normal guests (who are no doubted subsidising the wedding guests) are relegated to the inferior rooms while being over-charged for the privilege. I was very disappointed with the stay, primarily because we paid so much for what was obviously an inferior room. It is obvious that the wedding trade is all important to this hotel to the detriment of the ordinary guest.

Not applicable Was given a room over outdoor smoking area. I was a parent bringing two girls aged 8 and 5 to meet their cousins. Rang reception twice to complain of the horrendous noise from private function, taxis hooting horns and loud noise from downstairs. Did not get to sleep til 4am and was so tired nearly fell asleep at the wheel. Breakfast was cold. All in all terrible experience would not recommend to anyone.

Empty minibar, then told our section of the hotel does not stock the minibar like were inferior in some way. The only request i made during the stay was no tomato relish on my burger from room service which was ignored. My view was of the entrance to the carpark which also happened to be shared with the rail and looked very unsafe. I think i was just expecting a little more from the famous Radisson. Radisson sligo was great compared to this. .

the swimming pool was good, the piano man was the best thing the hotel had to offer. it was very expensive, for food and drink, 17euro for breakfast that we had to queue for with undercooked scrambled egg, no fried egg on buffet, we had to order same from waiting staff wait to have it delivered then go on the queue and get the rest of the fry......... a big let down. the pool staff were'nt so friendly. 603euro for 4 days, just wasnt worth it, i expected an awful lot more from a 4* hotel

location hotel was very busy and there was no personal service. It felt like you were on a conveyor belt.Beakfast was not a pleasant experience . There were not enough staff to cater for the numbers having breakfast . My cooked breakfast was cold , coffee cold . The whole experience was totally impersonal. Room was very basic for €195 would have expected at least bottled water. Not a pleasant stay

Location design and staff were excellent. Our room overlooked the entrance and was very noisy during the night due to people stood outside upto 3.30am in the morning over both Friday and Saturday night waiting for transport home from functions within the hotel. Not exactly relaxing!

The room was good, the Hotel is ten minutes walk from the town centre. Service could be slow at peak, times. The stairs don't go down to the car park so you need to wait for the rather busy lifts

Location excellent - 5 mins walk from Eyre Square. Car park underneath hotel - directions on website very accurate and found the hotel easily. Lovely view over lake from some rooms and veranda - sat out after breakfast each morning in teh sun. Breakfast was included in our deal and had a great selection. Air conditioning in our room and that was necessary as it was very hot during our stay. Room was spotless as was bathroom. Bar stayed open after most pubs were closed. Staff very helpful and efficient re directions etc Didnt use the spa etc so cant comment on that

Our young children are always made very welcome. We particularly like the family changing room in the pool area. It is convenient and private. The heating in our room did not work which was unfortunate with a young child but the staff did provide us with a plug in heater and offered to change our room the following night. We were fine with the heater so we didn't bother changing and we were kindly given a 30 euro discount on our room for the second night.

The room was spacious, breakfast was excellent, the staff were very courteous and helpful. We were very disappointed with the evening meal in the bar restaurant and particularly the lack of heating the dining area. It was very drafty and a dull place to eat in. We didn't find any literature in our room to indicate there was a second restaurant which we used the following morning for breakfast. This was a much more pleasant experience. A brighter and warmer venue and a superb breakfast menu.

Stayed on Level 5 for one night and it was perfect as always. There was a bottle of champagne and fruit on arrival as part of our package which we enjoyed. Room was large and had nice views. Hot tub - fab, although swimming pool was a little on the cool side! Breakfast was excellent. Would have loved to stay longer! Would definitely recommend to anyone who enjoys a bit of luxury - galway is a fab city.

Lovely hotel in an excellent location (2 minute walk to Eyre Sq). Standard double room was extremely spacious and well decorated to a very high standard. Hotel staff were fantastic. Room service very reasonable and high quality. We will definitely visit this hotel again. Breakfast buffet costs €16 if not included in the room deal. While the breakfast was nice, it was not worth this price. Also, payment is required for the hotel carpark at the rate of €3 per night.
