It is a nice and comfortable hotel in a nice residential area with a beautiful garden and surroundings suitable for walking around. It's close to the main road and public transport (bus). The staff is very friendly and helpful. There is a good restaurant and a bar with light meals which is convenient given the location far away from the city centre or shopping centre. For a citytrip I find it too far from Dublin Centre though there is a busstop nearby (bus is euro 1,85, taxi to centre is euro 15-20). There are no shops or restaurants on walking distance from the hotel. Though rooms are comfortable, they are a bit outdated, especially the bathrooms. I think 5 stars is clearly overrated.

Hotel is comfortable, classy and professionally run by nice folks - Radisson Group appear to be good employers who look after their people properly. Great location with spacious old landscaped grounds and well off road - no noise. Restaurant good and not overpriced. It's within easy reach of city if you have car either by Dart [city train] where you drive 1km to Booterstown Staion & park or drive and park in city car parks if you know Dublin - otherwise first is best option

We like the location of the hotel and the easy access from the main Dublin to Wexford road. We also liked the setting of the Hotel and the gardens. In particular, we enjoyed the conservatory overlooking the garden, when we had a nice snack. We did not enjoy the breakfast in the Hotel. It was located in the basement and was quiet dark. The breakfast was of adequate quality but nothing special. The carpet was covered in food on the last morning of our stay and we found it quite off putting. All in all, I would book the hotel again but I would definitely not eat breakfast there.

From the moment we arrived the service and politeness from staff at the hotel was fantastic. The gentleman at reception gave us a complimentary upgrade as it was a birthday occasion and the room was fantastic. The area and grounds of the hotel were lovely and the short time spent there was a complete pleasure and I wil definatley be returning again next time we are visiting the area. The breakfast was top notch and again the staff there were 1st class, we left it too late to book into the hotel restaurant, but it looked great and seemed very popular amounst locals which is always a good sign. Reception were helpful again in finding us a local restaurant to eat which was also a good choice. Dundrum is nearby for the shoppers, but the coast is around the corner and very nice so location wise although outside the city centre there is plenty to do in this area. 10/10. Thanks

We were given a suite so we had a beautiful room. The conservatory and sitting room were very relaxing for light meals and drinks. Excellent grounds and buses every ten minutes to the centre of Dublin. Good selection at breakfast and enjoyed Italian meal at night. The service was friendly and efficient.

It was very easy to catch the city bus into Dublin as the 145 ran about every 15-20 minutes and stopped just beyond the front gates or you could take a 15 minute walk to the tram station for a short ride to Dublin or south to other locations. The grounds, even in winter, were lovely. The staff were also very helpful in addressing any questions. The rooms were nicely furnished and coffee, teas, hot chocolate and shortbread were refurbished daily which was nice if one was in a hurry in the morning. The Irish breakfast buffet was very good and not overly expensive for a hotel restaurant.

The outside and the gardens look absolutely wonderful. The entrance hall and the interior looks great. Beds were very comfortable and the ice machine in the hall was a big bonus I was a little disappointed with the menu in the restaurant. I would have thought a 5 star hotel would have had some unusual dishes and this is what I was looking forward to trying. I appreciate you do need to keep some popular/favourite dishes on as well

Staff could have been friendlier. We arrived late at night with alot of luggage and were not offered any assistance. This is poor in a 5 star hotel. Breakfast buffet was fine, but again, not of the standard expected in a 5 star hotel.

Location, frindly staff and most of all the landscape around the hotel. But as listed for five stars hotel I think the services only mach three stars. No swiming pool, no exercise facilities available , no sona and that standard for five stars hotel in Ireland.

I thought the hotel was lovely - rooms, foyer etc. However, I was very disappointed with the spa. It wasn't as luxurious as the rest off the hotel. I don't think we got value for money and I regret choosing to get my treatment there.

Having read some of the inconsistent reviews I was unsure what to expect upon arrival, but was pleasantly surprised. The staff was friendly and very helpful, the room was comfortable and attractive with all the necessary amenities and the building and gardens are lovely and well maintained. We stayed for four nights and had absolutely no complaints. It was a perfect location for visiting our daughter studying at udc and also very convenient to the aircoach and city bus lines.

Nice lounge area Orangerie was cold .Selection of food on offer very limited. We were told at 8.30 that we couldn't have the 9.00 til late menu. All of our party (4) wanted to have steak. Not available before 9pm. Pasta dish left a lot to be desired. Food very disappointing

Unfortunatley very little lived up to the expectations of a 5 star hotel. It was nice to have a coffee machine in the room. Location was good and the person who monitored the corridors was very helpful. The checkin was horrendeous we have never met anyone as rude when checking into a hotel of any level let alone a 5 star. He was rude arrogant , never asked did we need help with luggage, newspaper we wanted when asked to book dinner it seemed too much trouble and we received one word answers. Allocated a smoking room when had requested a non smoking, we were moved but to a much smaller room and bathroom again wasn't want you would expect in a 5 star hotel. But probably finding have eaten snacks in the mini bar was just really disgusting while the hotel didbn't charge for the other two snacks we had it made you concerned about he hygiene etc. Breakfast was chaotic had to ask for tea./coffee and taost arrived when breakfast finished. If you want a 5 star expereince this is not the place to stay in Dublin

The receeptionist on arrival was very friendly and helpful. The room was a nice size and the bed was very comfy. The grounds and outward appearance of the hotel was gorgeous. We ate in the orangerie twice and thoroughly enjoy it. The room was extremely warm, despite the air conditioning being on full blast. I would also have liked the bathroom to be a bit more modern. I was quite dissappointed by the decor. The massage and facial was lovely but the location of the spa could do with moving to somewhere with more space and better decor. Its a bit like a place you'd go to see a dodgy dentist. I stayed at the radisson blu in galway and visited the spa there for a massage etc. so was quite dissappointed with the facilities on offer. Overall we felt the value was good but where expecting a slightly higher standard of hotel and spa.

The whole quality of the hotel was high. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was lovelt and the bed was so comfortable! The food was delicious too. We found the cost of food very high. 10 Euros for one helping of french fries was a bit much.

General quality of the staff is well up to expectations for a five-star hotel. Great views from the balcony suites and far enough back from the Stillorgan Road that traffic noise isn't an issue. Bathroom ceiling in my room looked to have water damage.

“We went to a gig in the O2 and found that using this hotel was great to get in and out of town (using the luas next to the hotel). Leaving the car in the car park for 7 euro was money well spent for piece of mind. Hotel is lovely 2nd time we have stayed here Nice rooms and the Bar served a great dinner/lunch and not badly priced. Staff also nice and hotel is easy to reach from the motorway's and you have the park just round the corner.” Martin, Galway |

“we have stayed in numerous hotes over the yrs and would rate this one as one of the best, great location for a great price, walking distance to everything including the dart which we used, taxi rank outside too, room heating set at right temperature as most hotels are stuffy and you often dont sleep properly, room was quiet, nice bathroom, breakfast was great, we were very pleased” Catriona, Cork City |
