The hotel was well located for Bunratty Castle and Limerick. The pool and spa facilities were good. I had a lovely relaxing facial and the kids enjoyed the pool and internet suite. The bedrooms were well equipped with the softest sheets and plenty of towels and complimentary toiletries. The hotel lobby was spacious and a lovely place to relax with a wine whilst the kids had a play. We had a meal in the bar one night, the menu choice was minimal and the food well below average for a four star hotel

The room was nice and comfortable. The restaurant services were the worst of any Radisson we have stayed in. Hotel was reasonably busy yet the food services seemed overwhelmed. Lunch -arrived 45 minutes later, couple beside us walked out. Dinner - at 8 told the restaurant booked out , yet could see it was half empty. Twenty minutes later still half empty. Tried room service then , except the only vegetarian options on the menu were chicken liver parfait and seafood and veg chowder !! These are in no way vegetarian.Back down to the restaurant after nine and got a table as restaurant was nearly empty. Informed one vegetarian dish available only , a curry. We enquired about maybe having some pasta and tomato sauce instead as this was available on the menu with a meat dish. Told "no", and staff weren't prepared to help in any way so had a starter and left. The couple beside us were at this stage enquiring of the kitchen had they forgotten their meal as it was taking so long. Low standard.

Staff where very friendly and food was nice. I had a double room but the bed was not a double it was two single beds pushed together so that left it not to comfortable also the pipes for heating ran along the wall and kept banging during the night when heat came on/off. I would recommend it to others but I would make sure they check that the above would'nt happen to them.

We stayed overnight as we were going to rugby match. I think there ahold be a special offer for a rugby weekend , maybe dinner included in the price or the shuttle to the pitch. I also got asmell of cigarette smoke in room. Other than that very pleases and staff very attentive. Thank you.

Decor of hotel was very nice. Reception staff were helpful. Atmosphere was not very friendly. No personal touch. Apart from the reception staff and the bar staff where we had tea and scones, there was no interaction with any other staff. Not homely in any way. No relaxing music in background. At breakfast there was no atmosphere. There were only two other customers there, both reading rewspapers, no hotel staff to be seen, help yourself apart from one waitress who brought tea. A nice hotel in a good location but needs people who can communicate with the customers. Would recommend the hotel if this aspect was improved.

The front of house staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. The dining room was closed on Friday night and the breakfast on Saturday morning was very disappointing.

We were upgraded to a suite as no rooms were available, the suite was very spacious and comfortable with excellent facilities, I liked the outdoor hot tub, the breakfast service was fantastic, the hotel is situated on a beautiful location and the view from our room was very scenic and picturesque. It was a very relaxing and enjoyable experience. Staff were accommodating in respect of our requests during our stay. We booked in late (C.10pm) and we were kept waiting before we could be checked in - we were quite tired from travelling and we were disappointed at the reception we received. We had asked for a cot to be provided for an 18-month old and we had to ring reception to get one; they were out of cots but did travel to another hotel to obtain one but this still entailed a 40-minute or so delay. We were very disappointed at the restrictions of the Spa for children as we were effectively denied use of the spa on our last morning as we had not been told that kids had to use the facilities before 11am, even though the pool was empty when we arrived there at 12 midday. This definitely tarnished our experience.

The breakfast or lack of it. There was no food when we arrived, they brought out things in bits and pices it was cold. Poor selection of food. No one asked did we want tea or coffee when we did ask we had to wait about 10 mins before we got served. Don't get up for breakfast it was a waste of time.

I feel that at 129 euro for a room for one night with no breakfast was a bit expensive when other hotels where charging 79-89 euro might shop around in future

I enjoyed the dinner. Breakfast was a bit of a mess the first morning, the place was packed and it was difficult to get clean table or a tray or even cutlery. It seems very disorganised. It was disappointing that my daughter could not re-arrange the 20.20.20 spa treatment she had booked over the course of two days. It felt like because it was already paid for, no effort was made to accommodate her. My own treatment was good, but I waited a long time for the fruit and drink that my masseuse told me would be brought to me as I relaxed on the loungers. I finally mentioned it to the girl who was bringing one for another client. There was no more delay but she was not very gracious about it. Finally when I went to pay the bill I was being charged for the dinner for two. When I mentioned that it was included in the package deal I was told there was no such deal. Even when I showed her the deal that I had bought she made the comment that there should not have been such as thing. To be honest, the conversation left me feeling small and undeserving of being in such a grand hotel. Not such a grand way of dealing with your customers.

Free Wi-fi available. Comfortable bed. Fridge available in the room although the key must be asked for. Good little gym and there is a hairdresser, pool & spa treatments available if needed. Really nice relaxing decor in the lobby and restaurant area. The wedding reception I was there for was all lovely and the waiting staff & bar staff, with the exception of two, were pleasant and efficient. The function room for the wedding looked really well with lots of candles and fairy lights. The food served at the wedding reception was lovely too. The reception staff were friendly but made mistakes on payment of both rooms we had booked which were paid for separately. No iron in the room and although you can ring down for one I had to ring twice and waited over an hour for one when I was in a rush so it's a good idea to ask for one ahead of time. We were told at reception that we could just ring the hairdressers on the morning of the wedding if we just needed a blow dry but there was no answer when we called four times, after 9am, so left a message on the machine but they never called back so I would suggest that anyone planning to use the hairdresser makes an appointment anyway. The hair dryer in the room cut out after a minute on the higher setting & I had to wait about 5 mins at a time for it to work again. A tea cup in the room had stains on it when we got there. No biscuits or bottled water provided in room. No laundry bag provided. Water in the shower was luke warm over the three days. All activity out on the corridors could be heard in the room so this got in the way of a good nights sleep. The bar food was mediocre for the price but the waiter was very nice & friendly.

“The customer service from the decated staff. The food was excellent at night and the breakfest was first class. Shirley is well worth her salery, give her a raise !!! The bed didn't feel as though we were the 1000 couple to sleep in it. The over all cleanliness was great. The Polish receptionest was almost 'Irish' in her welcome and warmth. We will stay again , please God.” John, Westport |
