Radisson BLU Hotel and Spa, Limerick  

The hotel was pleasant, easy to find and the breakfast was good.

Unfortunately, the bed was very hard and it was impossible to cool the room down - therefore very hard to sleep with a thick doona the only bedding option.

Staff were very friendly,helpful and pleasant.Rooms were very big and had all the facilities one could want. Food was excellent and reasonably priced. Breakfast menu had a wide choice. We really enjoyed our stay there.

Rooms were a wee bit dated but they were clean.

I didn't like the noise at 6am of barrels being rolled on the ground at the facility next door nor the grotty bathroom (wood rotten on side of bath). I didn't like that the staff weren't very apologetic about it.

The hotel is well located on the Ennis Road outside Limerick, and it was very quiet for a Thursday night. The room was large, and bed comfortable. Room service was good also, and the free wi fi was an unexpected bonus, The room had a business facility to it with a full size desk and office swivel chair, but the bed could have slept a whole family! Room temperature pleasant, no gurgling pipes either,

The hairdryer went off after 30 seconds, came back one or twoce and then expired, with overheating (15 sec) being the possible culprit.

The front of house staff were friendly, helpful and attentive.

The dining room was closed on Friday night and the breakfast on Saturday morning was very disappointing.

We were upgraded to a suite as no rooms were available, the suite was very spacious and comfortable with excellent facilities, I liked the outdoor hot tub, the breakfast service was fantastic, the hotel is situated on a beautiful location and the view from our room was very scenic and picturesque. It was a very relaxing and enjoyable experience. Staff were accommodating in respect of our requests during our stay.

We booked in late (C.10pm) and we were kept waiting before we could be checked in - we were quite tired from travelling and we were disappointed at the reception we received. We had asked for a cot to be provided for an 18-month old and we had to ring reception to get one; they were out of cots but did travel to another hotel to obtain one but this still entailed a 40-minute or so delay. We were very disappointed at the restrictions of the Spa for children as we were effectively denied use of the spa on our last morning as we had not been told that kids had to use the facilities before 11am, even though the pool was empty when we arrived there at 12 midday. This definitely tarnished our experience.

You can be stay there just if you have a car being it some kilometers far from Limerick city center.

As you have so many units it would be better when booking if the location if the hotel was easer to confirm thank you.

I enjoyed the dinner.

Breakfast was a bit of a mess the first morning, the place was packed and it was difficult to get clean table or a tray or even cutlery. It seems very disorganised. It was disappointing that my daughter could not re-arrange the 20.20.20 spa treatment she had booked over the course of two days. It felt like because it was already paid for, no effort was made to accommodate her. My own treatment was good, but I waited a long time for the fruit and drink that my masseuse told me would be brought to me as I relaxed on the loungers. I finally mentioned it to the girl who was bringing one for another client. There was no more delay but she was not very gracious about it. Finally when I went to pay the bill I was being charged for the dinner for two. When I mentioned that it was included in the package deal I was told there was no such deal. Even when I showed her the deal that I had bought she made the comment that there should not have been such as thing. To be honest, the conversation left me feeling small and undeserving of being in such a grand hotel. Not such a grand way of dealing with your customers.

The room was nice and comfortable.

The restaurant services were the worst of any Radisson we have stayed in. Hotel was reasonably busy yet the food services seemed overwhelmed. Lunch -arrived 45 minutes later, couple beside us walked out. Dinner - at 8 told the restaurant booked out , yet could see it was half empty. Twenty minutes later still half empty. Tried room service then , except the only vegetarian options on the menu were chicken liver parfait and seafood and veg chowder !! These are in no way vegetarian.Back down to the restaurant after nine and got a table as restaurant was nearly empty. Informed one vegetarian dish available only , a curry. We enquired about maybe having some pasta and tomato sauce instead as this was available on the menu with a meat dish. Told "no", and staff weren't prepared to help in any way so had a starter and left. The couple beside us were at this stage enquiring of the kitchen had they forgotten their meal as it was taking so long. Low standard.
