Staff were top class
Friendly staff and very clean.
Very nice rooms!
Only drawback was the cigarette butt found in my nonsmoking room. Staff offered to change my room but I'd already unpacked ... Lazy and tired lol.
After arriving to find that we had been given the wrong room, we were told booking.com had advertised the wrong photographs. Had the room from the pictures been available, we would have been upgraded immediately. Waited 15 minutes for duty manager to call, no call. Made the decision then to leave the hotel and booked a room in the Westport Plaza. During checking out, duty manager arrived to inform us the upgrade had ''just become available''. Too little too late. Not a great start to valentine's weekend.
The room was comfortable
Very noisy at night, had asked for quiet room but was woke up a lot during night. Very poor breakfast
A clean and homely hotel with good facilities and at a great price.
The shower could have had more power!
Although it had wifi in the hotel, we were there at a function and had no mobile service in the room, everything else couldn't be faulted... The only downside but only minor!
No water available in the gym.
The rooms were quite spacious and free wifi was provided in all rooms.
The bar in this hotel was very cold so much so that when we ate in the bar our food did not stay hot as the room was so cold. The staff were not overly helpful, at times it felt like it was an annoyance to order something at the bar. Also the beds were very uncomfortable, there was also quiet a lot of noise from a disco in the function room on the Saturday night, advance notice of this would have been nice.
Nice pool, no deep in, so safe. has small Jacuzzi (4 max), Sauna and steam room. Bed was very comfy. Nice room and bathroom. Clean. Safe were helpful.
Is a pity its not nearer town as you have to get a taxi into Ballina town. We got a deal on booking.com. but i seen that the room rates are normally 120 euro per night, that is very expensive for ballina
Majority of staff were very nice. food was lovely and one particular waitress was very nice.
Wifi was shockingly bad. As a family that are heavy users we found we could only get sporadic email and web browsing. A hotel this size should realise the emphasis on good broadband services.
Everything love the hotel have stayed a few times in the last year.
Great staff and facilities, spacious and modern rooms, by far one of the best hotels in ballina
Its a bit out of town centre but not a problem really
Waitresses in restaurant was exceptionally nice and helpful. Nice comfortable and spacious rooms.
Everything about the service was brilliant, the hotel was very luxurious and good value for money
The hotel was roasting and the windows didn't open fully! The hotel was a little out of the centre of Ballina but only a 8 euro cab ride into the centre
Very Cheery Staff making us feel welcome--Breakfast was good Reception Staff excellent
Carpet in bedroom could have been vacummed otherwise ok
Nice hotel , friendly welcoming staff and food was great
It was all good
TV was a bit old but worked perfectly
Comfortable bed and spacious room staff friendly on checking out and hotel easy to find and central to ballina.
On arrival the staff were not very welcoming went for a back massage which was sub standard the pool, sauna, steam room was grubby and in need of tlc. went for a meal which was not nice at all was not what was stated on menu, frozen chips steak burnt and felt like it was thrown together and all squashed onto a small plate no presentation whatsoever. The waitress could also not tell us what sort of drinks were available as she 'didn't work at the bar' when we complained about the meal we were offered something else or a drink as a gesture following the meal we didn't wish to try anything else as was put off by meal. All in all not worthy of four star status and very disappointing as looks a lovely hotel on website. Has lots of potential but there doesn't appear to be a lot of care put into running the hotel.
staff were very friendly, pool was great
atmosphere in hotel lacked warmth and intimacy , obviously built in celtic tiger years, favouring size over atmosphere.
food was lovely staff were very friendly and polite the room was very comfortable fantastic breakfast choice nice location out of the town parking is great, loads of spaces great price
The shower in the room kept changing temperature. The pool was closed at 6pm on a monday. The bar was very open and appeared more like a part of the restaurant
Great superior room, very comfortable king sized bed, good reception on tv and a good variety of channels and lots of hot water...also nice and quiet!
one chair in the room that was torn and should be removed...
Nice hotel, staff lovely, food was good. Would recommend.
Only criticism was camp bedfor child very poor and uncomfortable .
There is parking and a spa facility.
Breakfast tasted old. Location is a bit on the offskirts of the town.
