The scrambled eggs, looked great but smelled and tasted like burnt fish!!!

On my arrival I was checked in to non prepared room 227 ( was not cleaned after last guests). I came back to front desk and on my request one of the receptionist checked me in to different room 219.

The staff were very helpful. we had very early start on Sunday morning well before breakfast time and the night staff laid on an excellent continental breakfast for us. The hotel was quiet, comfortable and clean. It does not do individual evening meals, only tour groups, but staff booked us into the Keane's pub and restaurant about 50 metres from hotel and we had excellent evening meals there. We were travelling on motorcycles and there was secure free underground parking with plenty of space for us.

Our business was in Galway and we chose this because it was removed from the city a little - travel into and out of Galway was very busy but manageable and we had allowed for this anyway. One of our guys reported noise from a nightclub on early Sunday morning but we were really not disturbed.

I didn't like the cheap click-laminate on the bedroom floors, nor the rock hard temporary bed I had to sleep on in the twin room, after being told there were three beds in the room. Worse than all that was the attitude problem of waitress Jessica on Thurs. morning. We stood for ten minutes on arrival into dining room & were ignored by her. When asked for something, a grunt was the best she could manage, no smile, no polite reply to anything. It was bad enough getting an inedible, cold breakfast without having to put up with her bad manners as well. An absolute disgrace in this day & age when we should be doing all in our power to welcome & encourage guests.

I booked this hotel because I was taking a visitor who likes casinos. When we arrived we were told the casino only opens Thurs Fri Sat it does not say this on your website. When we pointed this out to the lady at the desk she told us we could stay elsewhere but would be charged a cancellation fee. I have travelled a lot and I have never been greeted by such rudeness. The hotel was ok for the rate we paid but would expect nicer service especially since it is a Ramada. Car park unsafe.

Lots of litter lying on ground at entrance to car park. Looks like hotel which was closed down and reopened for galway race week.waitress at breakfast seemed totally disinterested/bored with job.

Location and price

Parking, underground car park poorly lit and perceived dangerous.

no meals at night but excellant food to be had in village

good value, good quality hotel. Great location. Pleasant staff. Nice big room-loved the bathroom design!

Nothing was particularly outstanding except the helpful staff

Hotel looked rundown from outside. Interior looks cheap. Breakfast was limited and basic. Exterior carpark and surrounding area was used by teenage drinkers and I was worried about my car. I moved it to underground park but there were teenagers drinking there . I informed staff and drinkers were gone a short time later. Room was okay. I would rate hotel 2 star and was dissappointed.

My stay was an excellent experience, very friendly staff, nice comfortable surroundings and good food.
