In a peaceful countryside location, this 4-star hotel offers spacious accommodations and superb facilities, including a health club, spa and golf course.

With great access to the region’s major road network, the hotel is off route N24, the main road between Limerick and Waterford. The scenic Glen of Aherlow and the Galtee Mountains are both nearby.

All of the rooms have private bathrooms, flat-screen TV and free, wired broadband internet access. The hotel also offers accommodations in separate, independent 2-bedroom lodges next to the hotel.

The 18-hole championship golf course provides a challenge for all levels of golfers. Guests can also pamper themselves with a relaxing, natural Serenity Day Spa treatment and use of the spa and recreational facilities.

The restaurant uses the finest, freshest seasonal produce available locally to create tasty and healthy dishes.

The superb 18-hole, par-72 championship golf course was designed by Des Smyth and was opened in 1993. The course was formerly the famous Ballykisteen Stud.

The health club houses an indoor swimming pool, a spa pool, a steam room and a sauna. On the second floor, there is a well-equipped gym and a weights room with a glass wall overlooking the 10th fairway. All guests are entitled to free use of the swimming pool, the sauna, the steam room and the gym.

The Serenity Day Spa offers peaceful, tranquil surroundings and relaxing and therapeutic treatments to rejuvenate mind, body and soul. The professional therapists are all highly trained in body massage; try one of the many massage treatments available in Serenity Day Spa for a relaxing or uplifting experience.

Ballyk Kidz club is available for the family break it is a fun and safe environment for children aged 3 to 11. There are 2 sessions daily during holiday time: from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Booking is essential for the Ballyk Kidz Club.

There is an unsupervised playroom stocked with toys and games available throughout the year for children and their parents.

Food & beverage

The Junction 1 Restaurant and Bar is a comfortable, modern restaurant with outdoor terrace overlooking the 10th and 18th Fairways. The concept is to provide food made from the freshest ingredients, simply prepared.

Room information

All of the rooms have large, comfortable beds with luxury mattresses and a choice of pillows from a unique pillow menu. The rooms feature an ergonomic workspace with a desk lamp and a large, spacious bathroom with a power shower.

All rooms overlook the golf course or have a view of the Tipperary Racecourse.

The staff were helpfull and friendly and the breakfast was cooked beautifully. I would happily stay there again. From booking on line I got a phone call to clarify what kind of rooms I wanted, as I was booking 3. Staff very friendly and helpful on booking in and throughout the stay. Hotel very clean, well kept and the food was lovely. We attended a funeral Mass on the evening of arrival and went back to the funeral home. On returning to the hotel we found the front door locked and it took a while to access entry, while we understood there was only one porter on duty at this time and was doing work elsewhere, it was a bit inconvenient to be left outside in the cold. If any suggestion could be made so whoever is on duty could have some sort of buzzer so the front door can be heard from whatever part of the hotel they were in. Did you find this review helpful?	10

I have a couple of negatives this time......service in the bar at 7pm was slow........my finished meal was sat on my table for 45minutes and I had to ask for it to be moved.............Managers walked by me and saw it sat there and still did not move my finished plate !! Also the shower was very slow to get warm..........I Made a coffee and drank it before it got warm enought to shower........what a waste of water !!! Would I stay again yes !!!!
