The food was quite good

Rooms really basic, they need total refurbishment . The room rate was far too expensive for the quality provided.

location, food was good, parking was convenient, two bedroom suite was oddly configured but had plenty of space, maintenance staff had to keep coming to the room and although they couldn't fix any of the issues, were always pleasant and did try.

the suites were a bad idea for March/April---space heaters didn.t work, the water heater needed to be adjusted by the guest, otherwise when it would come on at 3AM, you couldn't sleep--and even though it water wasn't be used at that time, it would continue to cycle on and off--a torturous night's sleep. For a 2 bedroom / 2 bath suite with 4 people, there was only enough hot water for two people each morning.The TV must be 20 + years old, either a 13" or a 19" model with no working remote control. This one tv was in the common area, no TV in either bedroom. Only about 6 or 7 TV channels. No internet access in room. Hotel policy was that unfortunately my 13 and 15 year old kids couldn't use the pool after 7 pm during the week. We would sightsee during the day, return to the hotel, eat and then the kids had NOTHING to do.

Hotel facilities excellent, staff friendly and helpful, food excellent.

Staff were friendly breakfast very good with great selection.

Room not great. The carpet was stained as was the bed linen. The room was not serviced property the beds not made the covers just thrown on the bed. Cobwebs in all corners of the room. We used the pool and there was no life guard on the bank

The staff at Lough Allen were really friendly and welcoming, the made the stay! The food in the restaurant, bar and at breakfast was excellent!

Room could be updated a little, but very comfortable

Great hotel with great staff especially the kids club girls who our two boys adored. We will definitely be back.

1. We would like to have tea/coffee/biscuits supplied for 3 people,as booked triple room,only 2 cups,and 1 pkt of 2 biscuits. 2. No pen & paper available,found this unusual,asked house keeping for some,never received it. 3.No shower cap/shampoo/conditioner available asked house keeping,only shower cap available. 4. Asked at reception for morning newspaper to purchase or complimentary,none available. So went shopping for above, which we never had to do staying in other hotels at similar prices.

The reception staff were extremely friendly and accommodating! Great place to stay and only about 15-20mins away from Carrick-on-Shannon if one wants to go for a few scoops.

The view we had was lovely , however I did feel the hotels has much more potential to it , it would be nice for some music in the bar , or use the grounds better for activities as they have lovely grounds and the town of drumshambo has not got much in it ,

The view , peace and quite nice decking area to sit on a lovely summers evening .... see the lovely sun setting over the lake ...

It is an easy going place to relax . We just loved it

Family Suite room

Low bed with worn mattress

Every single member of staff delivered excellent customer care, they were always friendly and extremely co-operative. Really enjoyed the two back massages, I could highly recommend Ursula, she is a really good masseur. All the rooms are large, bright and many have balconies and the bed was extremely comfortable. It was an added bonus that the wifi was available in all rooms, this was not the case when we stayed there 2 years ago

The food is not as good as it used to be and doesn't meet the high standard of the rest of the hotel

Staff very friendly and helpful. The setting is lovely. The room we stayed in was very nice. The breakfast had everything a person could want.

My sister went to gym one of the mornings and there was nothing switched on and no one there to ask. It was after the time given for gym to be open.

The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. The grounds are lovely with ample room to room around. The outdoor hottub is a real treat. The barfood was very tasty.. Rooms were very clean and comfortable... Breakfast was delicious.

As you approach the hotel the first impression is a hotel that is run down looking... this however is NOT the case so don't be put off! The 'gable end' of the hotel that you meet first could perhaps do with a coat of paint ..

The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was very good. The Hotel was quiet and peaceful and nicely situated on the lough.

Found the bed uncomfortable - mattress was too firm. Door was left unlocked into adjoining room. Once we reported this, the door was promptly locked. The Hotel should show the proper name - found that muddling.

Ideally situated just and very peaceful Staff were very helpful from time of arrival to departure and would definitely recommend

Minor point 1 sachet of ordinary coffee in room and 3 decaf? As a man that likes a decent coffee would have preferred more than one that's all i can comment as a dislike..
