I do not stay at retirement homes. For 200 Euro a night...the room was in terrible condition...toilet seat was loose, cracked and flaking walls in bathroom, decorated like a Parisian bordello from the 1800's, window would not close, either too hot or, too cold. Breakfast was unbearably stuffy...low lighting, etc...try other hotels in the world and see what one gets for 200 Euro. |

Location, it was close to Kilarney city. Hotel was alittle run down and I do not feel that it deserves the 4 stars that it has, other than good location, i do not feel that anything else would give it 4 stars. I had a buggy and there was alot of stairs with no elevators, so alot of hauling around a buggy in my 6 months pregnant. |

The foyer, bar, dining room and living rooms were very relaxing. Even though the hotel was full the area was quiet, refined and quaint. A fire was put on in the evening and you could relax on one of the many couches and have a drink. The rooms while beautifully decorated were old. We were put in a room beside the lift which was very loud but were moved once we questioned it |

Its proximity to the heart of Killarney Reception area staff could have been more helpfull. I was there with my mother and a friend of my mothers, on checking in and out they were never asked if they needed help with their luggage. The ladies did not need help, but i can image other people who are not as healthy would need help but might be too shy to ask. I felt it wouldnt have taken much for the staff to at least ask. |

Excellent, professional, courteous and friendly staff, who treated us like family. Terrific breakfast. Great pool, not crowded. Room big and comfortable. (Double)Bed huge. Overall, I have seldom stayed in a better hotel. |

the staff were very friendly, nice food way too expensive, should have better facilities in the rooms such as more channels and better telly, especially for the price you are paying. no dressing gowns in the rooms, room for huge improvement, rooms are very sticky had to have window open all night, badly needs air conditioning |
