Fabulous, wonderful foyer with open peat fires, great 'feel' to the place, luxurious but homely. Wonderful food, ambience just can't be beaten. Steeped in history, understated elegance, friendly staff and nothing is too much trouble. Magnificent location with beach and lake a few yards from the door. Will be back! |

lovely location. friendly staff. food excellent. between two doors on way to bedroom there was a smell like sewage---this was every time we went through the doors. I did not get any smell in the corridors so did not spoil our stay. |

The food was really excellent and the family run atmosphere and relaxed feeling with open fires was wonderful. You would need to request to stay in the old part of the house rather than the new part as the rooms are nicer. |

Good location. Friendly, peaceful and stress free atmosphere. Good facilities. The receptionist did not appear to be familiar with the area. More information should be available on the 200 acres for walks e.g a little map. |

The peace and quiet. The golf course and walks around and the views. The food was quite good. We arrived a day early and we were facilitated. The 2-bedroom apt was lovely but unfortunately the sheets and duvet cover on the big bed was stained which was not acceptable. Bedroom was dusty and fire not cleaned out in bedroom. Felt level of housekeeping had disimproved. |

Quiet old fashioned comfort and a sense of a world gone by. Wonderful views and a great variety of recreational facilities. Croquet, tennis golf boating fishing and so on . I especially enjoyed the old library and the 1920's Yachting Monthly volumes. All the service charges and service charges on the service charges. |

The location is amazing. The hotel allow patrons to bring their dog which can stay in your room. When we arrived we checked in and were handed our key and told how to get to our room. No porter service which is surprising for a 4 star country house. We didnt find the staff all that pleasant, although not rude, just disinterested. |

Spent my childhood holidays here in 1960s. Romantic setting, historic backkground, beautiful part of the world, old fashioned comfort, welcoming and trditional irish hospitality. It seems very expensive for what you get but maybe that's the economic climate for you. Could be tidier perhaps. |

The situation is glorious, the staff delightful and the food absolutely outstanding. I accidentally left a bag behind and they phoned me and sent it back straight aw\ay. The porter carried our heavy bags up lots of stairs and would not take a tip. If there are nicer people in the world, I've yet to meet them The peaty water was like french onion soup in our room, but the helpfulconcierge gave us a key to the room next door where the bath ran more like perfectly acceptable consomme - and indeed seemed positively beneficial to the skin. |

L'hôtel est dans un site géographique très joli, les salons à l'entrée avec la cheminée ont beaucoup de charme, il y a une ambiance d'hôtel des années 30 très agréables. Le petit déjeuner est très copieux avec une assez grande variété de choix. Dans le restaurant de l'hôtel, un menu unique à 47 euros est imposé aux personnes souhaitant manger là le soir.La chambre sentait une forte odeur de tabac.Le chauffage et les couvertures étaient très insuffisants, nous avons donc eu très froid pendant la nuit. |
