Killarney Riverside Hotel

This was my second stay at this hotel. I had such a nice time the first that I decided i wanted to come back here and was so glad that I did.The staff are very friendly and helpful, and it is just a lovely hotel with a good feeling about it. The first time I stayed with a work colleague and this time I stayed on my own. The room was just perfect with everything that I needed. I was looking forward to my visit and was not disappointed. I have no hesitation in reccomending The Riverside Hotel and will most certainly stay there again.

The hotel was clean, staff were friendly and the food was good. There was a good car park and it was safe. The hotel was well located near the town and the National Park. Good for walking in both directions.

They had two complimentary bottles of wine on ice in our room on arrival

I liked the location near the town and was very good value for money.

The wifi service was not working while I stayed there.

Service was excellent and the complimentary bottles of wine were a great touch.

It was a comfortable room and breakfast was good.

I asked for my clock to be replaced as there were electrical wires hanging out of it. Despite being there for 2 days it was not replaced.

when we arrived we had a complentary bottles of wine which was a lovely surprise. the room was magnificant and very large and the buffet breakfast was very appetising... well worth a visit

Good location; good restaurant. Very good breakfast. Helpful staff. Walking distance to town center. Parking on site.

yes I asked for a no smoking room but the room really semlt of smoke. However becuase of the I was reluctant to change. Also whilst staff were corteous the friendly Irish warmth was missing, which may be off puting to overseas visitors. Also room have no internet connection.

Barman was very abrupt and clearly lacked any social/customer skills, my evening meal was served cold and when i returned it there was no apology just shoved in the oven for another 2 mins and literally slapped down in front of me again. We felt we were inconveniencing him by asking for a drink etc not a nice person to deal with at all. Hotel facilities were ok but badly need to be updated,although we enjoyed our stay we will not be returning to this hotel as we foung our €79 would be much better spent in a place where it would be appreciated. Given the current climate you would think hotels/staff would be doing a lot more to keep their custom !!
