The complex is located on the inner ring road, less than 5 minutes from city centre by car (at off-peak times). Spacious for a small family, very clean sheets/towels etc.Very secure. Ideal as a base for a group of friends or a small family for a few days in Waterford. Lidl/Superquin are 500 metres away. Quick internet (cable) connection. Not suited to international traveller (unless you've brought your own car) as the apartartment comes with a utensil stocked kitchen (pots/pans), but doesn't have any kitchen consumables (kitchen towels, washing liquid, scrubbing brushes etc.). You'll spend about €20-€30 stocking the kitchen with these basics, but you'll bring them home if you wish. Our apartment had a strange odour in the hallway (but it is a student residence for 9 months of the year!). No remote for TV (which had a very poor quality cable connection).

River Walk Apartments was much more than what I had imagined. Seldom do the photos represent the real thing but in this case it did. We felt at home as the apartment door opened. We were stunned by the kitchen come living area. It had everything we could need. The bedroom were clean and spacious with very comfortable beds. Each room had their own en suite. Again, bathroom was clean and spacious with a brilliant shower. We were so taken with the accommodation that we stayed an extra day. Only for we had to return home, we would have extended our stay further. The only downside was having to leave. However, it is our intention to return.

The apartment was very clean and all bedrooms were en suite rooms which was a great advantage. The place also felt quite safe and secure. All in all it met our needs. Most of the light bulbs in the lamps were blown which was a nuisance rather than a problem. One of the shower units had a blocked trap which meant it could not be used. The settee was a bit shabby and needs replacing. A little bit further from town that we thought. However, we were fairly pleased with the apartment.

3 bedrooms' flat with 3 bathrooms. Spacious rooms, large kitchen. Do not expect luxury rooms, it is basic but functional. The kids like their rooms. It was okay for the 4 nights we spent there. It was quiet, good parking. No towels in the kitchen, no washing up liquid (of course no dishwasher)... We got a little bit of washing up liquid in a cup from reception after asking for it - They told that they do no provide it, pity that it was not mentioned on the confirmation information provided - Floor was dirty, after complaining about it, it was cleaned again which was good. Don't forgot to switch on hot water... Otherwise no hot water on time for your shower.

River Walk Apartments are in a great location from Waterford City, a taxi is less then ten euro into the city centre. The Apartments are very well kept, safe and a great size. Self catering is very handy as they supply all the equipment for you to make a nice meal, there is also a superquinn just down the road. Stayed in these apartments with a couple of friends and not one of us could fault them, we will definitely be staying here again.

Value for money & location although its a 20 min walk to the centre. Taxi price is approx €8 each way. Bed & bathrooms were fine but the kitchen was not 100% clean. There was a bad smell of grease from the cooker. One press had dried cereal stuck to the bottom of it. I have experience of this from other student accomodations so we came "prepared" with disinfectant & wipes. There was also no dishwaser.

The accomodation was excellent and the (almost) 24 hour reception was very helpful Self catering appartment had basic crockery and cutlery but would have benefited from having washing up liquid and brush. Not the sort of thing I would normally bring to this type of appartment.

Love the convenience of the apartments both to the city and Tramore, lots of space, and grounds for walking.Have recommended it to many people. Was disappointed not to find enough cooking utensils I.E. Frying pan for breakfast ...essential,otherwise stay was as brilliant as ever.
