Property clean and we were made welcome on arrival
- Good location (close to Lidl and Aldi), not that far off from City Centre (around2 kms perhaps).. - Quiet location - Mary tried her best and was indeed very accommodating and a pleasure to deal with!
- Room was very cold (there was electric blanket on the bed though!) - WiFi virtually non-existent in my room
It had a good location.
Mary was very nice and friendly. The cup of tea on arrival was welcome. Will be back to stay. Breakfast was excellent. Gerry & Cristina
quiet and comfortable with a very pleasent host. great value for money
Great clean bnb and lady was lovely
Convenient to city, spacious rooms for groups, generous fry-up breakfast
Don't expect luxury, rooms could do with a face lift
Breakfast was poor
The host was very welcoming and polite. Short drive into town. Close to supermarkets and service station. Spacious family room. Bed heaters.
The bathroom was extremely small compared to the room size. Breakfast was a little over-cooked, particularly the bacon.
Friendly and helpful owners, spacious room.
Parking is a bit of a tight squeeze, but enough for all the guests.
All-round hospitality of the hostess.
Not easy to find, as no number to the road, or a post code. Common problem in country towns in Ireland.
Breakfast was excellent
We arrived very late, but fortunately the late check in was not a problem. It is a standard B&B with a very nice owner. In front of the building there is a free parking. Breakfast was good as well.
Nothing. For people coming from continental Europe it could be tricky to turn on shower:).
Everything there was absolutely nothing to dislike we had an amazing time and my first holiday was the best. Mary is a wonderful host and cook and also a wonderful friend I have come to know I cant express how wonderful my experience was. The best by far. Thankyou Mary xx
There is nothing to dislike
It was cheap and the lady who runs it was very nice and
The sheets and towel were clean but very old and stained. There was no real Privacy as curtains didn't close properly and bedroom was on main road. Food was burnt, in edible and had dog hairs on it. Kitchen was not hygienic either.
Arrived at checkin time of 3p and no one was home until about 3:30p, host wasn't very welcoming, felt very uncomfortable and unwelcome throughout our entire one night stay, lots of spiders, ran out of toilet paper (at 11pm, took one out one of the vacant guest rooms), one almost empty dandruff shampoo was the only toiletries in our washroom (although B&B advertises complimentary toileteries), breakfast dishes very dirty, was served a coffee absolutely filled with grinds and undrinkable although I had asked for tea, didn't want to say anything because I felt bad because the host is about 80 years old, place is very run down, I honestly wouldn't return
Very friendly and accommodating, as I wanted to call in early and change for a wedding. This was no problem.
After a long day it was awesome to first get a cup of tea from Mary. :)
The owner was so welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was nice And beds were comfy. Overall we had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend.
the place was clean friendly and good location and good value for money
Friendly host, great breakfast, good location, walking distance from downtown
Friendly staff, tidy, quiet
Building a bit tired, a bit far for a walk to centre of kilkeny although we did it
The room felt not quite damp, but not quite fresh either!... and although, the GIANT cockroach I shared the room with did manage to disappear somehow the minute I turned my back to roll up a newspaper... that was actually a bit more unnerving. I think I would have preferred to have spent a few euro extra and not to have had to sleep with the lights on and rolled up newspaper in hand!
The house is convenient for town and the castle even if you do not have a vehicle.
The lady needs help - she was not coping for the two nights we stayed over - we cleaned the room ourselves and took the wet towels out to dry in the sun. The breakfast was OK.
Bed and especially the pillows were very comfortable compared to most places we stayed.
