Friendly staff, good location and a nice breakfast. The quality of the rooms wasn't as high as I was expecting from the photos. A bit old looking! sound travelled a lot and found it hard to sleep as I was there for business and people were loud coming in from nights out!!

The price is chipper than most of the hostels in Cork. Besides, the room was very clean, the staff are very nice and the hostel is in very good condition.

An ideal location for a night out in the city with no worries about driving home afterwards or the wait and expense of taxis.

A great value and very near the city centre of Cork. Initially diffiuclt to find, since their reservation or website didn't have the street number posted. Took a while walking up and down the street to find the Lodge.

The staff at Rose Lodge were extremely accommodating and helpful in suggesting good bars and places to eat. The room was wonderful. It had such a warm character and the bathroom was very modern. The location was also great a five minute stroll into the center of town. All I can say is I wish a stayed longer. Thanks

Rose Lodge is fine, no more. We wanted to go to the Jazz festival at the last minute. everywhere was booked. This was the cheapest double room we could get near the city. Although at €50 pp pn was priced for the weekend. Anyway it was fine. It did the job. If you are going to Cork there are better places, we just stayed here because there was no where else.

Walking distance from city, and on the weekend in question the closest hotel was over €70 more expensive.. The guest house is a little dated, but was surprised by how comfortable our bed was, and usual tea/coffee making facilities are available. Would stay again, but not for a special occasion.

Location was difficult to find and on a dangerous corner of a busy street. Lobby was fixed up but room was old and worn out, very drab. Pillows were the worst I've ever seen, carpet was old and stained.

Staff were very helpful and courteous. They knew my name as I walked through the door. 5 minutes walk from the City centre. Definitely worth having the breakfast, too. No bar (but the city centre is only a few minutes walk.)

Location wasn't too bad It was very expensive for a really small room with a tiny bathroom. The tv was really small and no good signal. For the price of a room, breakfast should be included.

Location and price were the best things for me. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would stay again though only on my own. The overall appearance of the hotel is not the best, dated and tired looking, and the carpet in my room was a bit on the thin side. The wireless network was quite poor and there was only "low" quality signal available.

Everyone at Rose Lodge were delightful, helpful and very considerate. The rooms were very clean and decorated well. The breakfasts were cooked to order and were delicious. I would like to recommend the location of this property as it is well positioned for the University, Hospitals and great shopping. Looking forward to staying here again on my next visit to Cork. “We were absolutely delighted with this guest house. Great value for money with big, really clean rooms. The staff and owner were incredibly friendly and accomodating. Location is perfect, across the road from UCC and just a short walk from the city centre. Parking facilites at rear or building. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to everybody travelling to Cork.” Siobhan, Galway |
