Ross Lake House Hotel

The location is in remote mature woodland which the architecture of the hotel does not disfigure.It still retains a country house atmosphere,having been in the same ownership for about 25 years.The rooms give the impression of a comfortable private house,but despite ther small scale of the hotel,the menu has a good choice every night,with service by a professional waiter,not a youth.The location,presentation and facilities tend to attract those who have a real interest in seeing this part of Ireland,and not the sort of people who would be happy anywhere with a standard mass-market hotel,no doubt including a spa,swimming pool and child facilities.

a beautiful place to relax - especially the drawing room which was lovely to sit in in the evening with a glass of wine. Real fires would really make this experience!

The setting and our room was lovely. The staff was delightful. Dinner was excellent followed by coffee in the sitting room - enjoyable. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Atmosfera da fiaba, immersi nella campagna in una vera residenza aristocratica. Camera enorme. Silenzio quasi irreale. Consiglio la cena in hotel, un pò cara, ma veramente ottima, con servizio impeccabile. Base perfetta per visitare la regione del Connemara.
