Friendly, helpful, trained staff, excellent price, great space.
Car park was full had to park on street. Hotel was old and room for was dated
Nice soft towels and a good breakfast. Pool was good too.
Bathroom tiles badly need replacing. On arrival booking for 4 and they gave us a room with a double and single bed. Had to wait half an hour while they sorted out a room with a double and 2 singles even though the hotel had only about 7 rooms occupied. Bath water was brown despite running a second bath.
Location, staff very friendly and welcoming warm room
One morning breakfast quite cold. lids had been left off trays of food. couldn't open windows in room shower head not very clean
Food The Christmas dinner was excellent. Staff were lovely Leisure centre was well equipped
Bedroom was freezing cold, very drafty The hotel foyer and restaurant were cold. Emergency doors were left open for smokers causing very cold hallways on the ground level
Central location and convenient to bus and train .
A bit dated and heating low when the weather was cold
Lovely cosy and spacious room. Different layout from other hotels. Relaxing to come to after a long day of work. The leisure centre and the water aerobics was fab!
Could have been more options for breakfast ; whole meal bread , soy yof hurt.
I think the only thing that was good about the hotel was that there was someone there to give us our room even though we had a very late arrival.
-area looked shady (hotel looked nothing like advertised) -entire hotel looked old, run down and very dirty (there was what I thought to be blood smeared on the inside of the lamp shade and walls, my friend thought it was chocolate. Let's hope it was that). We thought the elevator was going to break down on us. -much further from airport then stated -breakfast has little selection and not worth the money -Cost of the hotel too much. Not worth it.
the lounge bar very comfortable
No intertainment that was why I booked to stay in the royal for entertainment on Saturday nite
Staff were genuinely nice & friendly, offering help with everything, informing us of all the facilities. We asked for a quiet room & got it & a great nights sleep. Bar food was very good & tasty.
Nothing positive to say won't be going back again
Over priced for what you get Very tired and dirty Need lots of money spent Overpriced needs major overhaul Our bathroom ceiling was leaking and thankfully we were moved to another room Not child friendly (pram) with stairs so not very accessible The hallway smelt of smoke
Staff were very nice
Staff very kind Leisure centre is Ok
Very noisy rooms (we changed 3 times in 2 nights) Very old Hotel No hair dryer in the room No hot water until 5 minutes waiting Poor breakfast It doesn´t deserve 3 stars, 2 maximum Poor restaurant (neither Hot chocolate)
Desk staff we're excellent and addressed our concerns, food was very good also. Only had wifi in the lobby, had to get new passcode daily.
People who made up the rooms did a poor job of supplying basic towels , glasses, had to call everyday just to get basics.
Good location, shops and pubs close by, nice swimming pool and games room for the kids,
Location was good. The facilities were impressive. Good for kids with a pool and games area.
The staff were not good at being staff. Slow service. Ignorant parking attendant followed me to the door to get me to pay for parking (something they hide in the small print) the window wouldn't close in the room, holes in the carpet were covered up with black tape, there was no wifi in the room (even though they advertise free wifi the only place I could find a signal was the lobby.
Staff very friendly food very good
Room was very small and dull, looked out the window and had a great view of a wall
convenient location for our needs. staff pleasant. new rug, comfy bed
gorgeous spa facility but no mention of how to access it, though we had no time to do so... room only. mold apparent in bathroom. dodgy elevator.
Location is very good. Breakfast was excellent good selection of food. The staff were very friendly and helpful most obliging.
The bedroom needs refurbishing also the bathroom too, would have expected toiletries to be supplied like in most hotels now days.
Reception staff very friendly. Bar food very very good. Room very basic but clean.
Most definitely did not like the restaurant food on Saturday night. How it could be so not right in comparison to the bar food is beyond me........ Rooms could do with a little TLC
staff were very kind and welcoming.
there was a buzzing sound in room 412 which made it difficult to sleep
the bar was very comfortable and the bar man was great
the set menu on sat night was very poor
I was surprised with the price of breakfast. We stayed for one night and breakfast included cost €10 per person. Yet if you are not a resident you get breakfast for €8. That we thought wasn't right, we would have expected it to be the other way around.
the hotel was fab, bed was very comfy
room wasnt any thing special, bath tub was stained, tv remote didnt work, around the window was mouldy, there was dirty hand marks on doors
the Duty Manager was extremely obliging when I was unhappy with the state of the first room allocated and showed me others I could move to. He was extremely helpful.
The first room we were allocated was shabby with wallpaper ripped off the wall, a filthy stained carpet and was dark and dingy
