The spirt facilities
Breakfast was poor
I hated mostly everything it smelled in the hall ways went to wash my hands and the water was yellow in the sink/bath found over 11problems very poor hotel would never recommend it came home feeling physically sick
I had a comfortable rest while my husband was at a meeting. I enjoyed having a massage.
Couldn't have a bath because the stopper wouldn't fit in the plug hole ! Otherwise everything was perfect.
Verry frendly ataff great food room was a bit rundown but clean
Location leisure centre
Smell of cleaning products through themail hallways smell of smoke in the room
Reception staff excellent
Nite staff not very nice and bad attitude but you of staying
Staff were good and friendly leisure facilities were good.
Rooms were very dated, cold water in shower, paint falling off walls mold on walls in hall way too expensive for what you get, haven to pay for parking on top of room price
Hotel is very run down
The room was filthy. The carpet in the room was disgusting
The staff were very good
cobwebs every where
The reception staff were excellent!! Breakfast was a great deal and brilliant food. The food in Quinn's Bar was super, especially the fish and chips. And we loved the pool although we were disappointed the jacuzi was out of order. The lady on reception there was very pleasant and friendly. This was not our first visit and certainly will not be our last.
In clean bath @ torn bedcover room needs painting
Notting, we arrived late with my daughter is is 2.5 we had done a 4 hour drive prier and gone to a Panto to start our pre Christmas celebrations. We arrived to a filty room, we where so tired we decided to just get into bed. The following morning I couldn't let my daughter off the bed, the carpets where stained very badly and on futher examination with what also looked like sick that was also splashed up the walls and had not been cleaned. The toilet was fility around the rim and in particular at the back, soiled with allsorts. The curtins where also stained and torn. I had to ask to be moved and the second room the put us in was no different. A total dump and it discussed me that they felt it acceptable to put a young family in there. I feel ashamed to be Irish.
We had booked to stay for three nights. Pier to our arrival I had been contacted by the hotel to ask if I would like to go to the Christmas party. I had agreed and booked tickets for both my husband and I. They then called me back and asked if I also needed a ticket for my daughter who is 2.5. I was surprised as I didn't think she would be allowed to come, they said it was fine as I was staying in the hotel. I agreed and booked 4 more tickets as my sister and her husband also wished to attend with there daughter who is 12, we also booked another room. My daughter has spent the day looking forward to going to the disco. On the evening we where to attend, we where all dressed etc and they advised us we could not attend with children. The excuses they gave didn't match up and I honestly didn't care as I had to explain to my daughter and niece they couldn't go to the disco. I was so upset by how they handled the situation I checked out immediately and demanded a full refund for both my sister and I. A total shambles of a hotel, a dreadful experience as we had to find alternative accommodation and something fun for my daughter and niece to try and make up. The stress completely ruined my weekend break an event I had planed for some months with my family.
Location Food Cleanliness Staff All good
Mattress was old and sheet on bed was rough and very uncomfortable
Friendly, helpful, trained staff, excellent price, great space.
The bar area is quite nice (apart from the temperature) and staff are pleasant enough. Room was fine, though there was a lot of condensation on the windows. For the price we paid, couldn't really complain. For five star luxury, would have to be prepared to pay a lot more.
Bar area and foyer were absolutely freezing. It wasn't that cold outside, but bar was really cold! We kept our coats on and only had one drink before going back to room. If it had been better heated, probably would have stayed longer. Also, crockery in room not great and no glasses in bathroom. These are things which could be improved on, at little cost to the owners
Car park was full had to park on street. Hotel was old and room for was dated
Nice soft towels and a good breakfast. Pool was good too.
Bathroom tiles badly need replacing. On arrival booking for 4 and they gave us a room with a double and single bed. Had to wait half an hour while they sorted out a room with a double and 2 singles even though the hotel had only about 7 rooms occupied. Bath water was brown despite running a second bath.
Location, staff very friendly and welcoming warm room
One morning breakfast quite cold. lids had been left off trays of food. couldn't open windows in room shower head not very clean
Food The Christmas dinner was excellent. Staff were lovely Leisure centre was well equipped
Bedroom was freezing cold, very drafty The hotel foyer and restaurant were cold. Emergency doors were left open for smokers causing very cold hallways on the ground level
Central location and convenient to bus and train .
A bit dated and heating low when the weather was cold
Lovely cosy and spacious room. Different layout from other hotels. Relaxing to come to after a long day of work. The leisure centre and the water aerobics was fab!
Could have been more options for breakfast ; whole meal bread , soy yof hurt.
I think the only thing that was good about the hotel was that there was someone there to give us our room even though we had a very late arrival.
-area looked shady (hotel looked nothing like advertised) -entire hotel looked old, run down and very dirty (there was what I thought to be blood smeared on the inside of the lamp shade and walls, my friend thought it was chocolate. Let's hope it was that). We thought the elevator was going to break down on us. -much further from airport then stated -breakfast has little selection and not worth the money -Cost of the hotel too much. Not worth it.
