Staff very friendly Food good Excellent pool facilities especially when with kids
Had baby with us and there was a midweek wedding. Music could be heard very clearly in our bedroom. Had to ask a number of times for baby cot to be put in room.
the leisure centre was great
the bathroom wasnt great bath and shower poor
There really was nothing to like about this 'hotel' and I use the word hotel in the loosest of terms. Just stay clear it is awful.
Everything! There is nothing to like at all. One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at. Just don't go near this place.
had nice breakfast.
had problem with previous booking, got no satisfaction from staff, management not available for comment.
As above plus receptionist not very pleasant
General cleanliness poor, dirty curtains and windows, dated décor, taty carpets, leaking toilet. noise from road made sleep impossible definitely needs triple glazing. lift is very abrupt in movements and too many steps on corridors for whelling heavy bags.
Reception need to be more welcoming
Definatly wasnt worth 70 a night, ive slept in more comfortable hospital beds. Downstairs looked fab then upstairs was like a hostel
staff leisure center location
lumpy beds in twin rooms very bad tv reception
The room, the beds, the swimmingpool.
The Quality of the breakfast
Leisure Club Staff great and helpful Got a booking for a hot stone massage same day lovely treatment Food in restaurant very good
Room 125 was bit tired Even though lift still 1 flight of stairs to room bannister a little unsteady
I liked location, staff and use off leisure facilities.
The window and curtains where old and dirty.
Leisure centre lovely food good staff very welcoming and friendly comfy beds next time would specify refurbished room required
Room great size but carpet could do with a clean and curtain filthy only two of the four spot lights worked so very dark as faced on to an entry.
Location Leisure facilities Wifi connection
Breakfast wasn't included in price.
Some of the staff
could not have cared less attitude of managment
nice bar area, pool good but v busy with non hotel clients
room at front of hotel busy road so noisey from early hours! rooms need updated redecorated! staff at reception not that welcoming! would not revisit this hotel.
Noisy and it was booked as a double room and It was two beds pushed together. Had to wait to be seated at breakfast even though they were not busy .
Car park was full Staff never ordered a taxi for the time I asked for Room was very very dated, a throw back to the past
staff accomodated room change when i was unhappy with the quality of the first room offered to me.
rooms very small breakfast was tasteless traffic noisy on the street outside
Ashral the manager was first class allways a welcomeing smile and a genuine sincere interest in our well being he could not have done more to help us during our recent stay and we fell he is a reall asset to the royal hotel. The reception area staff were very helpful courteous and polite and went the extra mile to accommodate us.The porter on arrival welcomed us with a big smile and was very welcoming and friendly.the food was very good and reasonably priced. any issues we had during our visit were resolved to the best of the staffs ability. We would like to thank everyone for there help during our our stay and would recommend the royal hotel.
The bar service was slow and a bit unwelcomeing staff need to be abit more happy in there work as they let down the rest of the hotel. We ordered breakfast to the room one night as we had an early start one day but unfortunately it did not arrive this was disappointing.
I liked the bed it was comfy.
I did not like how hollow the walls were or how the paint was coming off the walls and there was no hot water and the only reason i tried for hot water cause a friend told me his gf had cold bath. I was totally annoyed plus the fan was real loud and people banging doors and shouting at night. No consideration. Never stayed in a hotel like that before. Really needs a make over and some hot water. There wasnt even shampoo or body wash or shower caps. I was really let down as it looks so beautiful online. that is all
The breakfasts ( which we had every morning) were top notch.... There was something for everyone in our party ( 2adults-2 teens-2babies)
Only 1 lift and needed it for babies & prams
Shower was broken in the room and it was very much an outdated hotel. I didn't witness any investment from the owners to modernise this hotel and seamed to be a step back in time to the seventies... I didn't use the facilities at the hotel so can't comment on those...
Car park and been closed to the dart.
No safe in room even though there were instructions on how to use one. No hair dryer in room and asked for one twice and still never got one, very bad service. Requested room on first floor and there wasn't' any left so we were told. Find that very hard to believe that in all the rooms on the first floor that they were all full. Surely everyone that was there at the time hadn't requested first floor. Eventually got one with two single beds. NOT happy as we were staying three nights.
