I found the hotel very noisy. I can understand the music which was very loud but alot of guests were enjoying themselves but the delivery of the beer barrels in the morning was horrendous. We were only there for 2 mornings but it happened on both of them and could not be drowned out by ear plugs or nothing. It actually ruined our stay as we were so tired being woken up each morning at about 5/6 am! |

Excellent location- posh part of Dublin, surranding by numerous pubs/restaurants where is a great night live. Specious room, with a view of Harcourt Street. Delicious breakfest which is prepered for you. Excellent value. A bit noisy until late hours, but even though I would come back there again. Ear plugs are provided and as well it says in hotel describtion it might be noisy from time to time. |

This is a lovely looking hotel, close to museums, parks and shopping. Room was large, clean and had everything needed for a short stay. This hotel is fantastic for a wild time because of the club and bars attatched to the hotel, where on the tuesday drinks were 2 euros. Now for the negative bits- the room was boiling hot and the quilt so thick we had to sleep without bedding- we opened the window but this would not be wise if you had children with you or had had a few drinks because of the size of it. Also having the window open meant you could not sleep because of the noise from the club and all the other clubs on this street! The shower was very hard to set to the right temperature so nearly scolded the first time I used it. The receptionist was more interested in what she was doing on the pc than seeing to us the customers! and lastly although the club and bars were brilliantly layed out and thought about the music was rubbish. |

Friendly atmosphere. Breakfast perfect, considering the price. Shopping areas just around the corner. The hotel should consider buying new beds or mattresses. In our room we (3 persons) had a double and a single bed. The double bed was bad - it gave us a lot of good laughs though. |

Excellent welcome at reception. Great value . Top class breakfast included in price. Best of all is the location, two minutes stroll to st. stephens green park, five mins walk to some of the most famous dublin pubs and top class restaurants. The rooms have an Edwardian charm and could be used as sets in a Sherlock Holmes episode. Threadbare carpets and noisy rooms due to the age of the property. Lift is tiny. Nightclubs in basement made me wish I was twenty something again. |

I loved the bedrooms. They were very unique and offered plenty of space and the breakfast was great. The rate was very resonable. The major complaint from me and the other guests that was with me was the loud music from the courtyard if staying in the back rooms (room 200), Room 201 got alot of noise from the nightclub and the people on the street. We both got very little sleep. |

The accommodation was spacious with separate sitting room. Location was quite central. B&B rate was very good. These are bedrooms in the middle of night club city. I was alarmed to find alongside the shampoos etc., two sets of earplugs provided by the hotel. When we returned to the room at 1.00am it was clear they would be needed. The room was over heated and the radiator could not be turned off, so we had to open the single-glazed window which kept out very little of the thumping noise from the nightclubs. The venue owned by the hotel is immediately below the bedrooms to the rear. The central dance floor is open air to allow for smoking, no doubt. So there is really very little hope of sleep with out the earplugs. At about 3am the fire alarm went off . My husband couldn't hear it with earplugs in. A serious H&S issue. |

The rooms were very comfortable and clean. Bathroom large and spacious. Dicey's Bar was a great open bar area, only 2 Euro per pint. The noise on Harcourt Street was bad, however the provided earplugs kept the sound out and gave us a good night's sleep. |

We absolutely loved our room. Very unusual. The noise from the beergarden wasn't too much of a problem. We had a great night, went to bed at about 2 am, and fell asleep straight away without being bothered by the music. The bed was comfy & the breaktfast excellent. We hadn't hoped for more than a cup of coffee and a muffin for the price we had paid - so it was excellent to be treated to a full Irish breakfast! The Russell Court is an excellent choice if you want to have a good night out! Cool beergarden, great party atmosphere! I would not recommend the hotel if you want to go to bed before midnight :) |

This must be obvious...but the noise level. Wins the award for the loudest hotel I've ever stayed in...and the only one where the fire alarm went off twice in one night. |

The room was clean and spacious with big bed. The breakfast was included in price and was really very delicious. The staff in the restaurant was polite and helpful. The hotel itself and the furniture in the is quiet old but it is ok if you stay not for a long period. And also it was cold in the room because of the wind outside and old windows. The main problem is that it is too noisy at night because of the nightclub downstairs. We stayed on the first floor and I could feel the music on the ground floor with my feet and I could hear every single word people were talking outside. |

Great breakfast. Clean and comfortable rooms. Grumpy and unhelpful reception staff. Noisy hotel due to pub/nightclub downstairs. Unless you are into nightclubs avoid this place on a weekend. We stayed on a Monday and Tuesday night which was bad enough. Had to leave a 50euro deposit on credit card before I could make an international phone call. |

The room was very big, with a couch and large bathroom. The staff was very friendly. The doorman walked me to my bus station to make sure I got on the right bus. The hotel is about a ten minute walk to the very centre of town. It was a bit difficult to find at first because there isn't a huge sign for it, you have to pay attention to the house numbers. |

Breakfast was good. I like the fact that the hot breakfast cooked to order & toast was not out of a do it yourself machine. Totally unacceptable noise levels. I got 20 mins sleep, all night between 6am & 6.20am then was awoken by the fire alarm!! No fire wardens, no-one answering reception phone so everyone left wondering what going on etc. When finally walked to ground floor it was a false alam. However I am certain most people did not bother. So potential fire risk. In fairness to the hotel although loads of people & music noise from the clubs, the biggest problem by far was the taxi's on road outside who hooted their horns all night long!!! Don't ask me why. Usually there is a law against this after a certain hour, obviously not in Dublin. |
