The rave next door at night.
the loud music untill 4.15am
Location was excellent and staff were very good.
Rooms are old and basic and room prices inconsistent
Bathroom sink has poor water connection. Suite little cool-poor heat but we come from a warm climate
Loved staying here. So comfortable with such friendly staff and excellent location. Bedroom was spotless.
Heating was a little on the high side in the bedroom. Informed staff who were very helpful in explaining and sorting it out for us.
Mattress was very uncomfortable, no hot water for morning shower, very noisey between floors and a very load very late night outdoor nightclub downstairs and outside back windows
As most poeple wrote - and as the hotel warns - it's located next to music clubs. However, the hotel says that there 'may be noise', which is not true. There IS always noise - VERY loud music and VERY loud people; 7 days per week, until 3-4 AM. NO chance of proper sleep.
Staff is polite and friendly, breakfast is good.
The noise is unbearable. Even if you were deaf, you wouldn't be able to fall asleep because of the sound vibrations coming from the night club sub-woofers. Consider staying on the first two floors (rooms 1xx and 2xx) only if you don't plan to sleep at night.
Nothing, don't book this hotel.
Front Desk (Ashley), arrogant, unobliging, wouldn't keep / confirm I had a twin room till the moment i checked in, even after I called her the same day as check it. Just silly in this day and age to be so unaccommodating, ever heard of word of mouth, repeat business, customer review sites?
Great Location & Value
A bit noisy late at night..
The resteraunt, room, location, beer garden, staff kindness
Breakfast room was fine, did not try the restaurant as was too noisy, recommend a quiet section for business travellers
Hotel room was on the ground floor next to bar and street. Noise levels excessive only protection "ear plug" I had asked for a upper floor room. Hotel is jaded and in dire need of upgrading
the rooms are very big and comfortable, drink prices at this hotel are the best value in Dublin. i liked the fact we could get a late night snack,in the bar at very good value, great breakfast fresh fruit ,cereals, yogurt and a fry handed to you freshly cooked, and all of the morning staff were very nice. great location, two minutes walk to grafton street.
I found at least two of the bouncers very very rude,I am 54 ,in the company of my husband and family,i moved a chair from an empty table to our table and one of the bouncers pulled it away as my friend went to sit on it and put it back at the empty table, said we could not have it . later on I was showing my brother where the dining room was as it was his first time in the hotel, and the bouncer told us to get away and go out of it , bearing in mind this was not a closed off area, it was just beside the bar ,I did say to both of them about the rudeness, they didnt care.neither of them were irish or would give me their names.
breakfast was especially good and great value.
noisy rooms with disco but on second visit we asked for a front room and had no noise problem
Location Meals Staff
No wifi in the rooms Noise
the electricity in the room was poor
Meal in Bar
Loud Music very late
The staff were pleasant
We have marked the hotel down on all areas as over our three night stay we slept fitfully for a total of nine hours. This was due to NOISY RIOTOUS PARTIES EVERY NIGHT FROM 8pm TILL 5am no amount of good location, breakfast or facilities etc can make up for sleep deprivation such as this, we arrived back home exhausted. On explaining our plight to desk staff we were offered earplugs! Even in the cheapest budget hotel one would expect to get some sleep each night. We would recommend booking elsewhere if you want to enjoy your stay in Dublin.
This is the second time in Dublin, staying at Russel Court on both occasions. The staff are pleasant and it is clear to see they strive to provide excellent customer service :-)
Room 108. This room is above the Dicey's Garden night club! Free Music till 5 in the morning, Free vibrating bed! and at around 7.30 AM a Guinness truck loads and unloads about 100 empty and new booze barrels. Only one solution. Join the party and have lots of 2 Euro Pints ... makes you sleep 'kinda' through a few hours.
The noise in the room was unbelievable until 3.40 from the nightclub below.
The stairs are very smelly, the room was old and there was a nightclub underneath the hotel. with very loud music!
Didn't want to stay the second night, because there was too much noise but I had to because they would not refund me my money as I had paid in advance!
Huge comfy bed and good breakfast. Voucher given for discounted parking in Stephen's Green
Not recommended for those wanting an early night!
