The hotel very reasonable priced most of the time
It's very dated
Stayed with a group, staff were helpful, pub attached was great, perfect for a night out and excellent location for exploring dublin
If looking for a quite break I would choose somewhere else as hotel is attached to a pub and night club
Good value all round, clean room comfy beds, helpfully friendly staff
It is noisy from downstairs bar but it kind of Lulls you to sleep in the end, it's not enough to put me off going back
Location was good in the center of the city
Lots of sound at night from the club
Nice room and good location
Room was at the back of the building so was like being in a club with music till 7am, would have been ok, if the music wasn't so crap. To be fair they say it can be noisey. Just get room on front side of the building and its all good.
Location, breakfast, cheap pints, nice reception staff
Bed mattress is at the end of the road, me bum was on the ground nearly. Very noisy from nightclub but I was clubbing so didn't mind. Poor attitude from 'Johnny bravo' dude serving at breakfast
Very noisy until the Clubs closed.[3-4]
A little noisy
Room was big and clean
You couldn't sleep because of the noise level There is a club/pub at the back of the room with very very very loud music till late late night
I like this hotel very good value for money, perfect if you're in Dublin for a night out. Its a city hotel and bar next to it so if you want quiet don't stay here but for the price it is well worth it, I was going out to a night club anyway so noise didnt bother me. Friendly staff, very clean hotel, had a great stay here.
Some rooms are very small,
Lovely staff and the room was fabulous! Breakfast was lovely the next morning.
old style friendly staff apart from security being asked each time I entered hotel as to where I was going!!!
unaware when booking that there was a nightclub next door got very little sleep so not impressed carpets need cleaning so not good value for money
I love this hotel have been here numerous times! The location is great an staff are helpful! The rooms are large and have everything you need! The food is beautiful and great value! I highly recommend this hotel but not if you are looking for a quiet break as it is quite lively!
Great price, good location, close to grafton street & 10mins walk to temple bar, clean.
Rooms are abit dark as lighting isn't great. Read many reviews about noise but we stayed Tuesday & wed night, was abit of noise tues night & nothing Wednesday.
Great breakfast and spacious room. Got great discount on car parking in locality. I had booked hotel before I read the reviews which made us alert to night club and noise but we had no problem room 24 is the best room to the front.
Tv did not work
noisy staff wasn't very helpful
I was very disappointed, first of all the staff were very rude.
I was very disappointed, first of all the staff were very rude. When I was signing the form my girlfriend seen one of the staff insulting me behind my back. Secondly when I came back from where I was at the time the door man was rude and ignorant I then went into the hotel and asked for a drink of water and I was told I had to go into the club and que for 20 minutes to get a glass of water. The last thing was the worst which was the noise levels, from outside our window and the night club downstairs. It was brutal, between the screams of people from outside and the thumping music it was half 4 in the morning before it stopped and I had to be up at half 6 for work. It should have been specified on the site about the noise levels! I book at least twice a year on booking.com and have found it satisfactory up until now, but I was very disappointed on this occasion!
it is central, great staff and superb rooms..
apart from the noise from the club, but i was out till late my self so it did not bother me..
Cheap price, good breakfast, comfortable bed.
The noise from the nightclub is very loud, earplugs provided and they were needed. Noise from the street in the morning. Don't stay here if you want a good sleep.
Having read the reviews we went with an open mind. I am 35, so no spring chicken. And my partner is 25. We travelled up for a concert in 3arena on a monday night. We booked the hotel specifically as i like Dicey's nightclub. €40 for a double room including breakfast? And it got better... on arrival, we were upgraded to a suite! Then we decided to get some food before we left. The dicey's dishes menu...a 6oz steak with chips and side salad for €5!! Yes please! We paid more for parking than we did for 2 dinners!! And as it was monday, pints and bottles for €2!! We got back from the gig and were ushered past the hundreds of people queueing to get into the niteclub. Whilst in the room, which wss street facing, we didnt think the noise below was as bad as people made out in reviews. After a quick change we too soon joined the revellers. When the niteclub finished we were taken to reception to finish our drinks while the patrons left. The staff were fantastic and couldnt be more helpful, and by the time we headed to bed circa 4am the streets outside were well cleared so noise was not an issue. With prices like this, i will definately be making a return trip!!
We had such a good night... i couldnt actually say i didnt like anything! The old saying, you get what you pay for... well we got way more....
The room is vintage styling! High ceilings, big window, classy! Big queen bed and a single in the room. Room is clean and bathroom big and clean. The location is fantastic!
No Wifi in the room. The door men continuously gave me a hard time and asking question about who I took to the room. I had a room with a queen and a single bed. Enough for 3 people if needed. You aren't allowed bring someone to your room without being scrutinised for it! We left some bags and coats in the room while we were out and the bouncers were giving out that we were up and down to the room and i had a different person than the 1st time! I should NOT have to explain why I am bringing up a person to me room. They had my credit card on file and IF there were any damages could have charged me but instead made me feel like I was doing something wrong and embarrassed me infront of the lady I was with. This place does not give you a good vibe due to the staff and the way they treated us. For that reason I would not feel good about staying here again.
The hotel is very well located for seeing Dublin City centre The price was very acceptable
There is a nightclub very close by..so it is loud at night. Was not a big problem for us but if you are a light sleeper you need to be aware of this
our room was amazing. We did not expect such a large room, nor did we expect such a comfortable and well set out room.
While the information for the hotel explained the location related to the night club we did not expect the music to increase in volume through the night until 5am.
What did I like? Nothing. Will never stay here again. Never slept a wink, The bed might as well have been in the middle of the dance floor. Breakfast consisted of cold sausages and cold eggs. Never again.
