Location, Room, Scenery
Servved Toast with Bread mould for breakfast; Sound Proofing in rooms is not great - Refused a table at the hotel restaraunt despite booking a table Staff in Bar Restaraunt had to be chased one night just to get attention to order, to get wine after food arrived, to get desert menu and to get deserts actually served.
Wasn't gone on the music in the main bar, someone playing piano and just someone solo, as it's meant to be relaxing. Also seemed to be a wedding crowd around the main bar at 11 when you would expect them to be at the wedding
Views of the bay.
Noise from weddings.
Location, building layout, staff
the room feels and looks dusty, and never been properly clean. small bathrooms, smell of oldness
The Location is really nice, lovely view of sea and walk on prom. Very nice bar, staff are excellent.
Room and ensuite a bit small.
Lovely location; spacious hotel; friendly & efficient reception; good facilities; great bar
No initiative shown by domestic staff. Our booked room had had an illicit smoker in it before us, but no attempt made to either report it, air the room (open windows, run the air con etc) so room unusable when we got it (both of us life-long non-smokers). Similarly when equipment in bathroom failed to function, I had to report it when I discovered it, even though domestic staff were (must have been aware) before me, but did not report it. However, could not fault the response of the front of house staff.
comfort, great view
nothing, everything gets approval.
Staff very welcoming and friendly. Room spotless and spacious, very relaxing. Bed very comfortable.
We stayed for 4 nights & found our stay very relaxed &really enjoyed proximity to prom luvely.
Hotel rooms are often very warm and hard to get a good nights sleep. That is why i booked a room with air conditioning. And a good nights sleep we had. King size bed also, very comfortable. Got lunch on the sunday and it was top class. Very tasty. Highly recommend this hotel.
Seaside location. Generally a good hotel.
Most of the staff were unwelcoming and unfriendly. If you were not eating a cooked breakfast, there was a poor choice of food.
Pool was lovely , food great , nice room .lovely location . Friendly staff . Bus to town outside door
The only thing was the beds , we were in twin room and beds were pushed together like a double ,but otherwise great hotel
Everything from reception to the bed to breakfast
Stay too short lol
Hotel location was good, leisure facilities are very good. Staff were friendly.
When booking my room I asked for a sea view if possible (no harm in trying anyway) ... Instead I got the complete opposite. I was staying in room 147 which has a view of a wall about 4 foot from the window! It was also quite noisy during the day & evening as there were fitness classes going on and the music and voice of trainer over the mic could be heard clearly from the room.
Terrible view from room, staff in bar poor.
Location excellent. Bedroom very nice.
The duvet bed covering was too warm. Service in restaurant very slow on one night.
the view, the location, staff was very helpful and the facilities.
I couldn't have a shower after 7 o'clock as there was no hot water. We ordered a movie which didn't work.
Fantastic staff, great location, great facilities! Will definitely be back!
Loved the location. Seeing the ocean from our room every morning was lovely. The staff were all so friendly and welcoming which is something not often seen these days in hotel/catering businesses. The Salthill Hotel would be our first choice if We were staying anywhere in Galway again. It was just such a relaxing get away for us!
We could hear the wedding party downstairs for our room on the 3rd floor. It's a minor thing which I understand the hotel itself can't control but when your trying to sleep it's quite frustrating.
great location, right beside beach and nice walk to shops, restaurants & pubs. Very comfortable, clean hotel and staff friendly. Breakfast excellent.
Music quite loud from weddings which could be a problem with young children at night but did not go on too late.
My husband and I had a sea view which was lovely. The room was quite spacious and ultra clean. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Enjoyed the food in the bar where staff were very child friendly (we were with our daughter and her family). Would definitly return to the Salthill Hotel.
Just one small thing - a "regular" hair dryer badly needed in the bathroom. The wall dryer is not very efficient (for the ladies anyway).
