A perfect location to relax totally. Old charm and a modern approach to caring for guests made this a perfect 3 night break in November. We'll certainly be going back soon to this ideally situated hotel and will recommend it to our friends.

The staff were very welcoming, the locationis breath taking and the food is of a very high standard. There was no lunch available and there was limited food of soup and sandwiches available during the day.

We've all heard it so many times , location location location ; and what a location ! The view through our bedroom window was breathtaking . The immediacy of the wild altantic and that hyptnotic crash of surf filled our room when I opened the window . The westerly facing aspect only added to the allure . I would complement the easy charm of the staff , the delightful cuisine, that big comfortable bath after a long day cycling, but oh that view . This was special.

Hotel staff were excellant. I booked a double room but for some reason my internet booking came back as being a twin room. I phoned the hotel direct and they corrected the error, they also upgraded me to a room with sea view at no extra charge. Some rooms in the hotel look out onto the beach. The other rooms look out towards the hillside which have a lot of mobile homes. The standard of food was second to none. As our stay was end of season the hotel was very quite which suited us. However I think the hotel would be very busy during the summer months

Location was excellent, but main Bar was closed, as seasonal. The food was superb A bit dated, the furniture was old, and appeared to make the rooms darker than needed, but cleanliness was excellent

We had a very pleasant stay, staff were friendly and efficient, food was excellent and lots of craic and impromptu music in the bar. Long walks on the beach, beautiful views and a relaxing massage at the spa, perfect anniversary break.

Food, views and staff were all memorable and excellent. Give more information in the bedroom manual - like breakfast/meal times and dinner menu and prices. Didn't realise there was a guest PC until we were leaving which would have been handy.

Stunning location and great for walks along the beach, however, a car is recommended for travelling around the stunning Donegal countryside/coastline. Staff were very friendly and attentive and helpful. We had a fantastic sea view room which was practically a suite really. We found the antique style decor very comfy and relaxing and the free access to Wi-Fi very useful. The evening meal, on the one night we decided to eat in, did not live up to expectation (Seafood Salad), however, when mentioned on "checking out" this was deducted from the bill without question, and with an apology. Feedback was given to chef on the night via the outstanding waitresses, and an alternative was offered, but declined with thanks. Also, luke warm, lumpy mashed potatoes served up on a dish with an ice- cream scoop is not really appetising either and this was also mentioned on departure. All in all, we felt that the staff could not do enough to please, and despite shortcomings on food, we would definitely stay again as we are confident that the issues mentioned can and will be easily addressed.

posizione fantastica, pochi hotel sono cosi bene posizionati, direttamente sull'oceano. Importante è farsi dare una camera che si affaccia sul mare per apprezzare pienamente questo fantastico hotel.Esperienza indimenticabile!!!

The best thing about the hotel was the lovely yound staff. So pleasant to have young Donegal students who remembered your likes/dislikes etc. Dining room arrangements - could suggest a review. Food arrived cold from 2 floors below. When we dined in main room adjacent to kitchen (beautiful also), food was much, much better. Close top - use as overflow only? Rearrange kitchen location?. Shame to see empty room below. Otherwise, quietest hotel ever stayed in. Sarah Sherwin Only comments re food as above

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful and the location (right on one of the most beautiful beaches in Ireland) was fantastic, the view from our bedroom also being second to none. Food was delicious (both breakfasts and evening meals) and served in a dining area with an equally stunning visual backdrop as the bedroom views. Our positive experience at this hotel was made complete when I realised I had forgotten to take with me a gift voucher (for a substantial amount) that I had intended to use in part payment for our stay, and the receptionist manager allowed us the voucher amount from our bill with the promise that we would send it back into her on our return home. This is one hotel we will be sure to return to. nothing negative to report from our stay.

Exactly what we look for in a hotel - I've rated it 4 out of 5 across all areas but the combined package is 5 out of 5 (if that makes any sense - imperfectly perfect). We don't at all mind a slighty tired look as long as it is reflected in the price and we felt it was - the same could be said of every other aspect, any slightly rough edges were definitely charm and character. I would chose this balance over a more polished hotel at every opportunity. A real family feel with the location, breakfast, service and honest style which is rare. If this hotel was threatened with a characterless makeover, I'd vote to keep it just as it is.
