Scott's Hotel    

Staff is very friendly and helpful. Location is excellent. We walked from the train station in 5 minutes. Hotel is close to many restaurants and businesses in town. A great base for Ring of Kerry exploring.

Would be a plus if the televisions were upgraded to flat screen. We had a small 19 -inch old box t.v.

Free parking, location close to restaurants and shopping.

I loved when we arrived the receptionist was absolutely fantastic , very friendly and Couldn't of done enough for us. We were also upgraded to a suite which was a lovely surprise ! Great atmosphere in the bar and food was fantastic .

There was nothing I can think of that I didn't like.

The Staff were welcoming, friendly and engaging The presentation and decor of the hotel was fresh up to date and pleasant .

The SMALLEST single room I have EVER stayed in ANYWHERE in the world. The shower(no bath) in my room Took 5 minutes to heat up, as it got warmer the pressure of the water reduced. I had to run around beneath it just to get wet :(

I always cold everywhere, therefore I loved the fireplace in the hall and our extremely warm bedroom!

Gates closed off main street early so had to walk all the way around after nite club didn't know they would close

Its in the centre of killarney

I found scotts hotel a lovely relaxing place to stay we were part of a group of six and had two triple rooms which were spacious and clean with all the facilities we needed. I found the staff more than helpful especially when I realised on my return home that I had lost a ring which was of great sentimental value. The member of staff that I dealt with was more than helpful and conducted a thorough search of room and to my delight the ring was found.and she got back to me straight away to let me know.

I liked the location of Scott's as it was near to the town centre and the nightlife.

My girlfriend was sick so we cudnt go out socialising so decided to get room service instead of going down the town. We rang at 9 but were told its too late and we asked for number of the bar but lady at reception said she was in the "middle of something" and basically hung up. We ordered breakfast in bed for the following morning. It was supposed to come between 9 30 and 10 but didn't arrive until 11 10. The breakfast was cold and at this point I was glad to be checking out. Also the room was very small for the price we paid. I will never be making a reservation in Scott's again.

The toast would have been much better bought out in toast racks rather than in a basket, where there was often too much and the toast would sweat. A heating rack in the bathroom would be beneficial The wireless in room 426 was very intermitent

the location of the hotel. the bar was good fun for a young couple

the dirty bed sheets on first arrival, the chips out of the corners of the walls broken sink plug uncomfortable bed and very old fashioned sheets poor dinner in reastraunt breakfast order was all wrong and not nice.

On new years eve,we wanted to get dinner in hotel. We didn't have a reservation for dinner so we went down to the restaurant to check. The waitress we met told us we could have bar food or eat in dining room. We checked bar and it was very busy, so we decided to eat in restaurant. We asked the waitress was it ok to eat in restaurant,as the restaurant was extremely quiet with plenty of tables empty and she said it was fine. She told us to sit in reception as she had to set a table. My boyfriend counted at least ten tables empty and that were already set.We were left sitting in reception for half an hour and we decided to leave and take or business else where as it shouldn't take that long to set a table. We tried looking for waitress before we left but we couldn't find her.

Location in Killarney is excellent you come out the entrance to the middle of killarney right beside all the pubs, restaurants etc, underground free parking is very handy.

Price, this is my 3rd time staying in scotts, previous times were not around new years and the price was reasonable. Because of new years the price this time was ridiculously high. So i'd recommend scotts just not around new years as they will rip you off.

The heating wasn't working in our room, it took 3 hours before anyone came to our room and it still wasn't fixed. We then got a portable heater. We were also granted late checkout, then reception proceed to ring and tell us we had to leave out room and it was only half 12. I also emailed the hotel twice this week asking for a response from the manager but I have yet to receive one. I was extremely disappointed with my stay at Scotts.
