Situated just 10 minutes’ walk from the town of Gorey, the family-run Amber Springs Hotel offers a bar, restaurant, and a spa.
Score from 57 reviews Excellent
Location, comfort of room, view, food in bar
The spa is fabulous
The hotel itself has nothing to offer customers. No comfortable seating area, no entertainment and the bar has no atmosphere. Bedrooms are very basic
The walk down to the beach was lovely. The food is the bar was delicious!
The water in the shower wasnt hot enough.
The location, the quality and standard of the hotel and the amenities on site are truly excellent. A real "getaway" location
Whats not to like - you would have to be extremely picky
friendly staff food excellent
poor lightening in rooms, lounge and spa aera
I loved the welcome from Gill on reception when we arrived after a long journey ..... Then relaxing in the infinity pool and spa .... A walk through the trees onto the beach ...... Wonderful Then a good nights sleep in a comfy bed mmmm
Having to leave and go home
Spa was first rate, mattresses quite possibly the most comfortable I've ever slept in, in a hotel. Beach walk and beach - quiet. Bar food - excellent - the seafood chowder a meal in itself
Only one lift - gets a bit busy! (But really, only a very minor irritation)
We loved the spa facilities and peacefullness of our surroundings.
More sign posting on n11 and on minor roads for the hotel. For the voucher system to be explained more thoroughly. I did not realise that voucher was validated on arrival but payment not taken then. I did have receipts but was left feeling foolish by receptionist at departure.
stayed three nights and sheets were not changed
I went to this spa hotel with friends for one night. Overall it was a nice visit. The receptionist was very polite and changed my room so could be my friends. I was a single traveller so this was good. Spa lovers --this spa is amazing!!!
Staff in resteraunts and bar. We had to wait ages for everything. To being served, waiting for food and paying Bill. Also, the staff didn't appear to be trained to work in an expensive resteraunt (50 euro a head without wine) I have no physical problem but bath very high and would be a problem for elder people or with disabilities. Rooms not like shown on website. Needs some refurb.
--- warm welcome and kindness of 'ALL' the staff. --- also food was excellent
I liked the comfortable rooms, the lovely walk to the beach , the friendly staff ,there was no noise , very peaceful all and all a lovely time was had by myself and my friend
Great staff Amazing spa Huge Junior suite Close to beach Great food
Only problem I would have is bar is small.
The spa was amazing!
the restaurant serves Foie Gras - a disgusting, barbaric practise. I complained about this. I was told i'm not the first to complain but nothings changed. No options for vegetarians - you get what you're given. Faulty appliances & fittings in the apartment. Window leaked in the rain - all over my make up bag. Thus my brushes were soaked and I couldn't use them to apply make up - I was attending a beauty convention later that day. Electricity went 3 times thus my food was destroyed in the freezer, no option to make tea or cook without electricity. Also couldn't shower as it didn't work without electricity.
Very comfortable bed, restful sleep. A great place to relax. Manager and all staff very helpful. Lovely walks by the sea. Lovely food. Great for the wedding we were attending.
The bed sooooo comfortable Food is so tasty
The decor and atmosphere in the hotel was lovely. Staff were very helpful. The spa was gorgeous. We spent hours there relaxing. We would definetly recommend seafield to others and will be returning soon ourselves
Only 1lift available
bed is comfortable and the views of the golf course and trees is stunning
there is absolutely no mobile phone coverage in the bedrooms. WiFi code given to us was incorrect and didn't work. You could get WIFI by paying for it but as a business hotel this should not be necessary. We felt completely cut off from the world and as we were there on business it was difficult. there were many business people outside the hotel using their mobile phones and around the reception area. Rooms are lovely but the lighting is not sufficient. If you plan to work in your room you may need more lighting. There was a function in their function room and them music was loud. We could hear it in the bedroom despite the windows being closed.
A fantastic spot couldn't recommend it highly enough
Where to start? They have the most comfortable beds and pillows I've ever come across in a hotel. The spa - with treatments, beautiful pool, aromatherapy steam room, sauna, saunarium, and outdoor heated pool - is a little piece of heaven. A lovely little laneway to the beach. And a very nice restaurant! Definitely a wonderful place to get away for a weekend.
Just that it was a bit crowded, with a wedding on every day of the weekend! That made it impossible to get near the bar or get an answer from room service, but at least it means the place is popular!
The courtyard rooms were ideal for couples with a young family and the small playground within close distance was great for kids.
No swimming facilities for kids. The shower was blocked and overflowed. When I asked at 12pm to get it looked at as soon as possible it was 2hrs before someone came. Having a wedding to attend at 2pm this was an unconvenience. However the shower in the bath was fine. The drinks in the bar are very expensive. Paid €5.90 for 2 SMALL fizzy orange for kids!!
Staff were lovely, very helpful, spa facilities were fab
Food in the bar wasn't nice at all, really a disappointment, main course was tasteless and fries tasted like they were reheated. Didn't like the balcony as any room can access all the balconies so for security reasons we couldn't leave the door open during the night so room was far too warm resulting in a bad sleep
Not being able to take the kids to the pool
everything.. lovely and relaving ,.lovely food .just perfect as for the spa lovely and helpfull staff could stay all day.
with the exception of reception staff who were allways charming and chatting and smiling the bar staff might ( while excellent ) might smile a little .
Beautiful food. Friendly staff, probably the best spa around.
