We stayed in the hotel from wednesday to saturday - 2 couples. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Food was excellent. Was disappointed that there was no entertainment in the hotel. The only thing I would say is that info on the website is inacurate. It is a good 10 minute walk to the center of town and not 3 mins as stated. This is misleading.

The bar food on arrival was very good. Nice food and generous portions. Stall in the bar were friendly and attentive. Didn't get much of a welcome on arrival. Receptionist was dour and didn't even have a welcoming smile on her face. First impressions mean a lot. Frontline staff should provide a good customer service by way of imformation about facilities which we did not get. They should also look like they want your business. Bedrooms were stuff and lacked airing, no toiletries provided in bathroom which was very disappointing for a hotel of this standard and given that they were charging €149 for 3 sharing a room on a B & B basis.

The staff were very friendly. When I asked for extra milks the desk clerk sent up a jug. I did not find the time to use the leisure facilities but they looked good on the brochure. The breakfast was not as hot as I would have liked but I did arrive 5 mins before the 10am deadline.

A good hotel- clean, friendly staff, good service - a bit expensive for my budget, but worth it as I was attending a function in the hotel and wished to have a few drinks.

Staff were very helpful , rooms were clean and comfortable, they were nicely furnished. We had a problem with door card so we had to sleep in another room without our clothes and cosmetics! They gave us a bottle of wine on departure !

I stayed In the seven oaks hotel as part of a wedding group. I requested a quiet room when booking but I was beside the lift I could hear people coming and going. The staff were not very friendly or helpful. The room was comfortable but very outdated with blankets on the bed. Breakfast finished at 10 am which is early for a Sunday morning. I would not consider this hotel value for money. The spaces for parking are so narrow my passenger had to get out before I parked

The staff were efficient and friendly - I had a problem with the safe and door to my room which was quickly solved The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was a lot better than some comparable hotels including one I stayed in the following night!

Hotel stay okay - but nothing special. Gym very nice - member of gym staff Andrew was very nice and showed genuine interest and had a good rapport with myself and my partner. Restaurant food okay, but not worth the money they are charging. Some of the breakfast staf were abrupt and grumpy. Also the breakfast staff had their breakfast at 10:00am on the dot - even if there were still guests in having their breakfast - so no chance of getting any extra tea or coffe. Hotel really used as a conference centre. As guests we felt uncomfortable sitting in the foyer, as too many business men/women having meetings. Not relaxing at all. However, the main complaint we have is security. Firstly, we came back late one night and had to be let in by the night porter. He unfortunately did not ask out name, he only asked our room number, but still did not check that we were the correct guests staying in that room. Secondly, my partner went back to our room one day to get something and found our room door being held open by a towel stuffed under the door. There were no housekeeping staff on the floor (it was lunchtime - so they must have been on lunch). We appreciate they may have just been airing our room, however our belongings were in the room, so anybody could have stolen something of ours!

I enjoyed the use of the facilities including the bar, gym and swimming pool. It was very useful as I have relations living near Carlow town. The breakfast with the exception of cereals could have been cooked on order but this statement is the only criticism if any.
