Shannon Court Hotel  

The hotel was fine, the attached restaurant was very good and the location close to Shannon airport was very convenient.

Got a very Warm welcome and the customer service was excellent. Staffs are friendly and very customer oriented. Room is clean and calm. very close to the airport, it took 5 minutes to reach the airport by a taxi.

Not a particular good resturant in hotel - bad service etc. Very noisy children playing in bar area!! Rooms could do with refurbishment.

The hotel was neat and tidy. The staff were very nice and friendly and helpfull. The Bar was also nice and clean.

the only down side was there could have been better variety of music in the Bar in the evening. It was very Quiet until the DJ started around 10pm and played unknown Grunge music for 2/3 hours. Restaurant was just Ok.

We appreciated the proximity to the airport.

Our room was right above the trash bins and it had a very strong smell of cigarette smoke, even though it was considered a non-smoking room. Even the towels smelled like smoke.

The fact that it was on my way from one job to another.

I got in at 2.30 A.M., and had to be up again by 7 A.M.. I know that you cannot legislate for guests' manners and consideration of others, but the continuous noise of slamming doors and general chatter in the hotels' corridors etc. prevented me from sleeping. Just as all that died down, there were more people arguing outside my window until 4 o'clock - I had to shout at them to leave. I ended up with fewer than three hours' sleep. Again, I know it's not the hotel's responsibility, but I've never before experienced such a lack of respect for others by any hotel's guests!

The Shannon Court Hotel is a clean, inexpensive hotel with an extremely helpful and courteous staff. It is less than 5 minutes from Shannon Airport, so most of the guests are either traveling to or from the airport. I stayed here because I needed to arrive at nearby Shannon Airport for an early morning flight home, but I would consider staying here again if I return to Southwest Ireland for a vacation.

I found no fault with the hotel itself, but I found the fact that there is a Chinese restaurant on the ground floor of the hotel a bit puzzling. Coming from America, where there is a Chinese restaurant on every block, I expected to see an Irish hotel restaurant serving Irish cuisine, not Chinese food. Another complaint I have involves the fact that the pub, which is adjacent to the Chinese restaurant, attracts young local residents who (at least on the night that I stayed at the hotel) started screaming and yelling at the top of their lungs when leaving at closing time. Needless to say, this woke up quite a few guests, some of whom who started yelling out of their windows for these inconsiderate youths to shut up and go home.

Staff very helpfull as a lone traveller l was welcomed by locals and felt happy to sit in the bar area as such

Staff was courteous, rooms, while not spacious were comfortable. Breakfast - adequate but cereal choices were limited. Free parking, close to airport. A good place to stay enroute to or from airport. Not really a "vacation" type hotel.

Rooms were very small.
