Sue was a lovely host, the breakfast was amazing, the place was quiet, comfortable & charming. A great base to explore connemara. Would definitely stay again.

Lovely place with very nice host. Tasteful comfortable room. Quiet at night. Slept so well!!! Great view out of window, sea inlet on one side and mountain slope with grazing sheep and horse on the other side. Very enchanting.Breakfast delicious!! Nice atmosphere. Can only recommend it!

Excellent breakfast! Sue is very welcoming and the room was clean and spacious.

We could not have been more comfortable than we were during our 2 night stay at the Sharamore. My wife and I shared a room upstairs while my daughter and her grandfather stayed in a room downstairs. From the moment we arrived Sue made us feel right at home. We were given clear and useful information related to anything we inquired about (such as restaurants and pubs in town, horseback riding tours, local attractions, etc.). The Sharamore is very quite, comfortable, and user friendly. We stayed at 9 different hotels and B&Bs during our 2 week trip to Ireland and our 8yr old daughter will quickly tell you that Sharamore was her preferred lodging. I have to agree with her that it did feel like we were staying with family members .... and that it was, hands down, the best breakfast on the trip. Given the convenience, comfort, hospitality, and tasty cuisine, we will definitely make the Sharamore a stop on our next trip to Western Ireland.

We liked the owners. They were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great. Location is good. Easy access to the surrounding attractions and the national park.

Whished it would have been even more on the bay.

The positionn is wonderful, the rooms are big with toilet and clean. We received a very warm welcome and the owners were very kind. The pancake are marvelous

Breakfast at buffet is too poor.

Very good position, easy access from main road and overlooking an estuary. A good choice of breakfast food, notably excellent fruit and fish.

It had lovely food, calming atmosphere, and lovely stop point for traveling.

Sue and John were very caring hosts. We were in Room no. 4 and the view was very good.

Wonderful place in the Connemara Park, in the middle of nature (plus sea wiew). Sue (the owner) was very kind with us and cooked an amazing breakfast (I suggest their local fish). Best position, near Clifden, to visit Connemara. Highly recommended!

The house is not easy to see even if along the main road, but it is placed perfectly in Connamara region and very close to Clifden. The family running the house is incredibly friendly and breakfast is just owesome. Clean and comfortable room.

Saying goodbye

The hosts, Sue and John, were very friendly and accommodating and you felt immediately "at home". Unlike other establishments with the single tables separated at breakfast, Sharamore House had one large table and two or three smaller ones. This created an atmosphere of open communication between the various nationalities that were staying there. The breakfast menu had lots to offer, including fresh and smoked fish (caught by John), homemade jams and marmelade, and Sue had no problems in meeting any special requests. After a long day touring the beauty of Connemara it was a nice, relaxing base to come home to.

The one disadvantage was that you couldn't walk into Clifden, you had to drive.
