The piece and quiet. The elegance of the surroundings. It's scenic views. The friendliness of reception staff and in the spa centre. Being able to use the sauna and steam room as part of the package. Eating on a table for two in the lounge, just squashed inside the door, right next to the staff serving station.

The views were amazing and the walks around the grounds were beautiful and very romantic. The staff were excellent, they were all lovely, very friendly and looked after us really well. The food was wonderful. Lacked atmosphere - Not christmasy enough, no christmas tree or lights. I felt there could have been more effort made to make it feel like christmas. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and for a five star hotel this was very disappointing. The room was cold also but we were given a heater the minute we said we were cold.

The staff were outstanding. The famous genuine Irish welcome was alive and kicking there (including the non-irish staff - our French and Polish waiting staff were also superb). Its a truly great setting The library/off-the- bar lounges are wonderfully old fashioned and relaxing The food is ordinary (not bad, but fairly ordinary) for both breakfast and dinner The beverages bill (€80 for a half bottle of modest wine, 2 mineral waters and a half pint of beer) was steep. It needs to be special for that price. The rooms are large and comfortable, but not maintained to the standard of most other 5 stars - eg. Toilet flush handle was loose, pain peeling in bathroom

As soon as we drove up to the entrance, I knew I would enjoy my stay here. There was a welcoming greeting from the staff and the beautiful lobby. My favourite part of our stay was the afternoon tea which we were able to have in the lobby in front of the warm open fire and continued on to have lunch from the same comfortable spot. It was so relaxing after our long walk around the grounds. The room was incredibly spacious and the sound of the waterfall outside the window sent us to sleep each night. The food was delicious and wine choices excellent. We will definitely return to Sheen Falls very soon ! My only problem was that the room felt very sparse. We stayed in a Deluxe room, which was enormous, but seemed to lack furniture to make it more comfortable. This didn't spoil my stay in anyway, it was merely an observation I made on arrival.

This hotel was quiet, warm and very relaxing. The bedroom was very large and very comfortable with beautiful views. If you want to get away from it all including your children this is the place to go. Lovely walks. Kenmare nearby had great places to eat like The Lime Tree and No. 35. Hotel leisure centre was only ok. Towels and staff were great. Difficult to get a spa treatment unless you book before you arrive.

I enjoyed using the swimming pool. Our room was great. One small detail - one of the windows was cloudy - probably punctured.

One of the most relaxing stays ever experienced in a suite which would put many other hotels to shame. The staff are genuinely friendly and helpful, unlike many establishments were they are obviously simply following their training. The food is of course of the highest standard to meet the overall experience of what is a truly outstanding hotel.

I had stayed at Sheen falls on a previous visit and spoken so highly of it my husband wanted to experience it. He loved it too. I have also recommended it to a friend who is staying there in August with her mother. I am sure they will love it as much as we do. The rooms, grounds, falls are just spectacular and the dining is the best in Ireland, if not the world. Thanks, hope to see you again soon.
