Fota Island Hotel and Spa  

Our room was excellent, very spacious with a very good view and a wonderful bathroom

The TV did not work and we didn't have the energy to change our room after unpacking. Overall the hotel can appear to be gloomy e.g. the drab corridors and the dark stone-walled swimming pool. Our dinner was quite expensive but was nothing exceptional

It's a really nice hotel. The staff are excellent and very friendly. A lovely location also

My reason for booking was to attend a family wedding.I liked the warm friendly atmosphere and excellent cuisine, albeit somewhat expensive.

I thoroughly enjoy my stay in fota island, I could not fault it in any way. Our food was fantastic and the spa was top notch. The staff were very attentive and catered to our every need, it was a 5 star weekend.

It was very relaxing and very comfortable weekend the staff were very friendly and helpful we could have breakfast in the room and have rest for while longer a little expensive but apart from that very good thanks

I didn't like the fact that there were black spots for the WiFi Hotspots. and the lack of connectivity from the room.

Loved the location. Reception staff could be better informed as I asked whether the pool had a sauna and steam room, said that she did not know and I could phone the spa and ask, room could do with a revamp, I would not rate this hotel as a five star.

€143 for room with two breakfasts. For the quality, it's excellent value. All staff very helpful and polite.

Fantastic trip

An outstanding stay at a well run venue. The staff are always going to determine your mindset to a place and I am pleased to say that the staff at this establishment were outsatnding except for one gentlemen who was working in the brakfast room. You only need one staff like this gentleman to offset all the positive attributes of the collective staff. You need plenty more like Mark!

Allow this person to get a job where he obviously does not have to deal with poeple and he will probably survive. Otherwise he will eventually make his position as a waiter unattenable at Fota Island.
