The owned is very friendly and helpfull, really felt at home there!
The best thing here was Marie, the owner! Very funny lady and a great chat over breakfast. The bedroom was nice but tv was limited. Breakfast was lovely, Marie did it all herself , it was especially nice to have fresh fruit salad rather than tinned which you often find in more expensive hotels. Next time we go to Roscrea we will stay here.
The sound of the fruit being chopped up in the early morning. Although all is forgiven when we realised that it was being done fresh for breakfast!
The proprietors of Slidale B&B were so friendly and made our stay very comfordtable.
The hostess was very friendly and helpful. We were doing some genealogy research in Oct. She made calls for us and even drove us to the neighborhood where she helped us find a distant relative. The food was also good, the best eggs of the trip.
Mary was so helpful and so interested in us. She arranged for us to go to Leap Castle, which was great. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
My Brother and I were accompanying our Uncle on his first trip ever to Ireland... we stayed at Sli Dala for the night on our way through Roscrea... our hostess, Marie, could not have been more welcoming or accommodating...the rooms were Beautiful and very comfortably appointed... -we were welcomed with warm raspberry crumble, and a choice of fresh coffee or tea -and the breakfast the following morning was Outstanding... our whole experience was Well above and beyond all expectations... Highly recommended ;)!
Friendly, welcoming hosts made us feel completely at home. Our room was bright and comfortable. We shall certainly stay there again.
A bit difficult to find until a local gave us directions. We felt that a satnav is necessary in Ireland!
Made to feel like family and the hostess Marie was extremely hospitable and helpful. Since the reason for visiting Roscrea was to find long lost relatives, this was a grand start to the Roscrea experience and the sense of coming home. Sandy
Warm and friendly atmosphere created by attitude and attention shown to guests by Marie and her husband. Breakfast excellent and served just when guests requested. Very helpful in advising re: local places of interest and in pursuing us with property left behind in our room.
Rather noisy uncarpeted floors. No stopper in bathroom basin and no chain on stopper in bath, so bath water could not be disposed of. Bulb not working in bedroom lamp. Maintenance needs a little attention.
Our hostess was terrific, providing all manner of attention, care, and work to ensure our stay was a success. She went well beyond what was required or expected.
The dirtiest BB in my life!! I cannot understand how I choos that BB!! All dishes washed by hand badly, with all the leftovers of food on the cutlery .... the bathrooms indecent .... I slept dressed in disgust, all we have not had a shower, we did not use the towels, we did not have breakfast ... I saw the lady who dried with towels in the bathroom of the neighboring laundry glasses ... after that I pointed out that they were ALL dirty ... the lady with a shirt full of grease stains .. . sucks, sucks and disgust never ever happened to me and such a thing .... I think that the reviews posted are all false !!!!!
The lady was friendly and liked to chat. Dinner in the local golf club was good.
Accomodation was quite basic. The town was very quiet.
People very nice and made you wellcome
Great Location. Lovely building & grounds.
No ironing board, only dining room table to iron on.
The hospitality and welcome were superb. The bedrooms and baths were extremely clean. The bedrooms were relaxing and provided great sleep. The food was delicious. And we were even provided assistance with our family heritage search for the area. I would stay here again in a future trip to Ireland.
The comfort & cleanliness second to none, staff really nice ( even offered to drive use into town centre ). Would stay again good value for money.
Stay not long enough
Recommendation for dinner
Lack of towel, rail, plug and toilet roll holder in bathroom. While sheets were clean the room smelt of cigarettes.
very friendly and very laid back feel to my stay there. We visited Leap castle from there
nothing, all good there
Lovely garden and enjoyed sitting in it
Not able to get wifi in bedroom but fine elsewhere in house
Marie was very friendly and very helpful.
Marie was such a friendly lady making you feel at home and welcome, offer tea and biscuits on arrival. She was helpful with maps and direction to site seeing.
Marie is a dream, the B + B is perfect.. I can't fault it whatsoever!
Close to Roscrea, clean, very friendly owner.
Having to leaver after one nights stay
The bike was handy
