Food was excellent, both dinner and breakfast
Once out of the reception, the rooms are very drab and in desperate need of updating or at the very least, some white paint to replace all the yellowing paint both inside and outside the rooms. OK for overnight, but no longer.
Leisure club, bar food, comfy rooms!
lovely hotel and great location
there was a screw in the bed under the bed sheet, which scraped my partners foot. when reception were made aware of this it was snubbed and forgot about
We were able to get room service despite it being 10:30 which was great.
My whole at the hotel was excellent. The pool was great and the Jacuzzi can't complain. The bed was massive and rooms really warm and cosy. Sitting beside the warm blazing coal fire was great. Overall impressed with it all.
Having to go home
Lovely, comfotrable room and good leisure facility
Both reception staff staring at the computers in front of them when we presented for check in and saying 'hello - be with you in just a moment' without looking up or making eye contact ! Poor 1st impression from 2 staff ! After that they were helpful and efficient.
Not much. The petrol station across the road was handy for food.
First night I ordered food in bar-an hour later I was informed it had never been lodged and kitchen was closed. All bar food too expensive. Bed uncomfortable. Hole in my door to the hallway. Utterly rubbish WiFi, on an open network, highly unsafe for business use. Breakfast was average at best.
Bed was so comfortable and staff on arrival was lovely
The lovely welcome & efficient check in at reception The professional & timely service at the bar The warm, friendly service in the function room Wonderful staff, very refreshing
Nothing worth mentioning
Very clean hotel and really enjoyed my stay there... Great place lovely food
Rooms were to warm in the middle of the night...
a pleasant stay. Reception staff were very friendly
We attended a Mature living exhibition. That was very enjoyable. But trying to get a bowl of soup in the bar was a night mare ,it was very short staffed, they did there best . But nobody want to have to que for 15 -20 minutes for service in a bar .
Very clean, grand hotel with such lovely friendly staff. Must be a very popular hotel as all but the Sunday night the foyer and bar were absolutely packed! But not with rowdy drunks just happy chatty folk, and I didn't hear a sound once my room door was closed. Great stay, especially as they were so accommodating for kids.
You have to wear swim hats in the pool?! Apparently it's an Irish thing?
beautiful clean hotel .friendly staff and good was very good .
As our son is autistic and we have stayed here on many occasions the staff are helpful with problems that have risen due to his specific needs as these can be challenging all the time.
Room service was v good room was clean.. Receptionist was v helpful all the time.
The rathanna bar was not great and over priced bar food..and terrible service three of us eat and meals didn't come out together.. The lightning in our room was really bad really dark lighting.. didn't like it. And a few times the keys for room would dis connect the were card keys..this was v annoying haunt to keep go in to reception to get them reactivated..
Atmosphere Food Staff
Room was quite spacious, nicely decorated. Staff were lovely. Pool good but often 'occupied' with classes.
No sound insulation in rooms, could clearly hear the toilet being used in next room! The door springs on some of the room doors are gone - meaning they slam very loudly all through the night. Room stationery could do with being replenished. Pillows old and cheap.
Staff very friendly and helpful. .
Enjoyed food in restaurant but a bit pricey for what you got. ..bigger family rooms needed. ..
Child friendly atmosphere excellent staff and friendly service
temperature in breakfast room was a little too warm
Room was so cold and when we phoned down we were told heating wouldn't be on until 6pm and they sent up a tiny heater, when heat came on it wasn't much addition. The room itself wasn't great. We asked for an ice bucket for wine and were sent up pint glass of ice, they had no ice buckets! Won't be going back
Friendly helpful staff, clean hotel. I would happily stay there again.
The Bar menu was too limited.
We got a great value deal for our stay, and we found the hotel to be exceptional for our purposes. Clean and comfortable, and a great view of Benbulben to boot. Swimming pool and fitness studio a bonus. Highly recommended.
Really warm welcome, felt relaxing and nothing was too much trouble
The staff were excellent. Choice of food both in the bar and the restaurant were very good. All areas were cleaned to a very high standard.
