Very clean, grand hotel with such lovely friendly staff. Must be a very popular hotel as all but the Sunday night the foyer and bar were absolutely packed! But not with rowdy drunks just happy chatty folk, and I didn't hear a sound once my room door was closed. Great stay, especially as they were so accommodating for kids.
You have to wear swim hats in the pool?! Apparently it's an Irish thing?
beautiful clean hotel .friendly staff and good was very good .
As our son is autistic and we have stayed here on many occasions the staff are helpful with problems that have risen due to his specific needs as these can be challenging all the time.
Room service was v good room was clean.. Receptionist was v helpful all the time.
The rathanna bar was not great and over priced bar food..and terrible service three of us eat and meals didn't come out together.. The lightning in our room was really bad really dark lighting.. didn't like it. And a few times the keys for room would dis connect the were card keys..this was v annoying haunt to keep go in to reception to get them reactivated..
Atmosphere Food Staff
Room was quite spacious, nicely decorated. Staff were lovely. Pool good but often 'occupied' with classes.
No sound insulation in rooms, could clearly hear the toilet being used in next room! The door springs on some of the room doors are gone - meaning they slam very loudly all through the night. Room stationery could do with being replenished. Pillows old and cheap.
Staff very friendly and helpful. .
Enjoyed food in restaurant but a bit pricey for what you got. ..bigger family rooms needed. ..
Child friendly atmosphere excellent staff and friendly service
temperature in breakfast room was a little too warm
Room was so cold and when we phoned down we were told heating wouldn't be on until 6pm and they sent up a tiny heater, when heat came on it wasn't much addition. The room itself wasn't great. We asked for an ice bucket for wine and were sent up pint glass of ice, they had no ice buckets! Won't be going back
Friendly helpful staff, clean hotel. I would happily stay there again.
The Bar menu was too limited.
We got a great value deal for our stay, and we found the hotel to be exceptional for our purposes. Clean and comfortable, and a great view of Benbulben to boot. Swimming pool and fitness studio a bonus. Highly recommended.
Really warm welcome, felt relaxing and nothing was too much trouble
The staff were excellent. Choice of food both in the bar and the restaurant were very good. All areas were cleaned to a very high standard.
Helpfulness and friendliness of all the staff
Queuing for breakfast, having been told there was no need to book in.
Stay was value for money for the room particularly as it was a bank holiday weekend
Breakfast wasn't included which was by choice so that was fine but got breakfast one of the days and it was expensive per person I thought
Breakfast in the Sligo Park Hotel was not good value for money. I asked for poached eggs and I had to remind the waitress of my order. My breakfast companions had finished their breakfasts by the time my two poached eggs arrived on a half slice of white bread. I had asked for my poached eggs to be well cooked - they were not. I was not given the option of having the eggs on brown bread.
Friendly staff; parking generally O.K. And the grounds were beautiful and well tended!
Entry to hotel can be awkward, since you are confronted by steep steps and the handicap ramp is not indicated. The main door proves a challenge rather than a welcome; a revolving door, or adoorman/porter would help. The reception area is badly placed as it also serves as route to elevators and stairway. A modest remake of your lobby could rectify many of these items, but an architect would I'm sure provide a better plan for a makeover of your lobby space and turn into an area that is far more of a welcoming and pleasing experience.
We arrived late but we were able to get some sandwiches sent up the room, Very clean hotel, staff very polite. Breakfast was buffet style and excellent. The room even had a fridge which is not something I've seen to often in Irish hotels. Wife said the leisure facilities were very good also, Very good value for money. One of the best 4 stars I've been in
Everything was perfect
It was quiet, special price
Room clean and tidy. Breakfast was lovely
Around pool area dirty tiles missing. Parts of hotel are very old in appearance other areas very nice. Front desk asked phone in middle of checking us in then forgot to give us the key along with very poor directions to our room which seemed to b at other far end of hotel which even taking lift ment we had to walk down some stairs to get to our room with a pushchair not ideal at all
Reception staff very friendly and helpful.
Freezing cold dining room- all windows and doors wide open on a cold morning!
nice big clean room & very comfortable bed, nice to have a bath also but it made the shower a bit tight ,but a very minor issue.also good bar.Sligo looked great and a very clean town.Staff at reception very attentive & helpful
a little noisy one night in the corridor for a few minutes.
Relaxed atmosphere and very helpful staff. Breakfast was great - good quality, plenty of it so value for money.
Rooms weren't particularly clean - in fact dirty in places. Very shabby furnishings. Frayed curtains and lamps held together with tape!
Welcoming staff, great lesure facilities, nice bar meals
