The staff were all helpful and polite and are to be commended. The ladies cleaning in the morning were nice and humourous. Well done. A woman started vacuum-cleaning in the bar/lounge at about 9pm. I am an asthma sufferer and I had to leave with my drink. They should know that a vacuum cleaner exudes fumes and particles when it is used. I left gthe hotel and joined my colleauges in a local pub. They lost some business as a result of this. When one comes out of a lift it is not clearly signposted where some rooms are. If one is looking for a room in the 500 region one does not see any indication that one is on the correct floor and should search further.

Comfortable spacious room and good bathroom with shower located within the bath. Departing, the Receptionist spoke at a normal decibel level. Loud receptionist on arrival. Unusual journey to bedroom: Lift up to a floor; then (with written direction on the wall) stairs down to another midway floor between lift stops; then long walk to bedroom. No WiFi in Bedroom (i.e. only in reception area). Black long hair located in tea cup in bedroom ! ! ! Breakfast not included within price (booked per internet) €69.00.

The luxury of the hotel was lovely. The staff were extremely helpful, polite and friendly and the rooms were comfortable, clean and quiet. Travelling with my elderly Mother, I would have like the side entrance to the hotel open at all times as we didn't have to worry about the steps that way.

We liked the sitting areas around reception. We also liked the bar and the hotel's proximity to town. We did not like the dinner we had in the diningroom last Saturday evening. The food was of a poor quality and very badly prepared. The demi- glaze on the meat had an off taste. As a chef, I was looking forward to a delicious meal and I was terribly let down. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Pleasant, near city, free parking, quiet. Bags must be carried up a full flight of front stairs. If help wanted, must wait for staff to be summoned which in our case took ten minutes.

The very atmospheric surroundings. the one negative thing -bad bedside reading lights. Room 305 had dark purple lampshades and weak bulbs. Asked in reception if there were any other lamps, but no, so i took the shades off!

I loved the big comfy bed, friendly staff & convenience of town. Shortage of selection of food at breakfast - unless you were an early bird you didn't get the full range on offer & supplies were not topped up. So not good value.

Rooms were recently done up. Big nicely decorated. Very friendly and helpful staff. Location was good. Far nicer than 4* hotel I have stayed in recently. Beautiful building. Well maintained A few small things like toothpaste on the curtains. A little attention to these sort of details would make a difference. Also a bit of a smell of drains in bathroom first thing in the morning but soon disappeared.
