Location price and friendliness of staff
Great location in Galway city, walking distance from the city center, and only 5 minutes walk to Shop street, highly recommended
The staff was super helpful, thorough, and nice. They really did a good job. The location right next to the bus terminal was very convenient for us as we had an early departure the next day. It is also not far from the central square or the shopping streets.
Even the double room was a bit bare bones and industrial, but we expected this with a hostel. Not much to complain about.
Big hostel with lots of space to hang out and eat. Fully stocked kitchen with spices and some free food. Rooms are comfy. Staff is extremely nice and helpful!
No outlets in bedrooms. Since it is kind of a bigger hostel, the hangout room and hallways can get kind of loud. Shower wasn't the cleanest but wasn't horrible.
Loved the stay. Staff great, room was bit small, but had all we needed.
I stayed in this hostel with my boyfriend and we really enjoyed it. The room was very clean, we had access to wifi and the staff were very friendly.
One thing I wasn't as happy with was the breakfast. I heard there was a free breakfast but I thought it was a full irish breakfast, but we did get cereal and toast so it was still ok.
30 seconds to the coach station where all the tours begin staffs were very friendly
my bed was next to the window and it was pretty cold there breakfast - not much option
Nice, bright, good kitchen and lounge, comfy beds.
Probably my own fault that I didn't research the hostel properly, but I found it catered to business travelers and students and, as such, found myself in a hostel where I couldn't really connect with people (which is my primary purpose as a solo traveler in staying at a hostel rather than a b&b or a hotel).
The staff, the price, the facilities
The beds, mattresses
Staff were very helpful and we wished we could have stayed longer
Super staff. The staff were very knowledgeable about Galway and other areas of Ireland. Relaxed atmosphere.
Didn't got the morning tea as promise. Staff member who work that time told me he just clean the kitchen so can't use it.
Location wise, I'd give full stars for this hostel. It's easy to get to the coach station for you Cliff od Moher trip or Connemara trip. The kitchen is also well cleaned.
Staff very friendly and helpful. I liked the kitchen and the order and cleanness it is kept.
Staff was great, Location was great, breakfast was light but good, wifi was good.
Bathrooms (there was only one), One of our beds was stolen by someone staff only said they never over booked, didn't really do much else (one of our friends had to leave b/c there wasn't a bed for them.)
Great staff. Very clean facilities. Like, very clean!
It was a little bit sterile and lacking in character, but I think that is the trade off for such cleanliness.
Staff where brilliant (especially Kati), so helpful. Room was really modern and comfortable.
Room was just above smoking area and it was very noisy at night. Room also got very warm at night.
Situation Very clean Wi-Fi
bed，stuff，place and environment
shower water is small
Breakfast was good, organised well. Rooms were good, shower was good, clean and pleasant,
2 plug sockets in a room with 6 beds. Like a lot of travellers I need to charge my phone overnight and keep my phone in my bed with me.
Everything one if the nicest hostels I've ever stayed in
Commun room Wi-fi
Shower A good walk to downtown
My husband and I were traveling with another couple and got 4 bunks in one room. It was great to have the semi-privacy of sharing with people you know for the price of a hostel. The service was excellent - everyone was so nice and we had an early flight in the morning, so they set out breakfast early for us (at 6:15, it normally doesn't start until 7).
Bunk beds are obviously not ideal for a couple, but that's kind of what you get with a hostel. The only real negative was there was a bit of a funky smell in the hallway and our bathroom.
One of the best hostels I've ever stayed :) clean, comfortable, nice kitchen, friendly personal, quiet but central area, no problems at all!!!
It had everything you want for a short stay. Comfort, shower, food and a bit of entertainment as standard..
The shower curtain....
