Beautiful surroundings, gorgeous bars & lounges and comfortable bedrooms. Spa is also well worth a visit
The grounds, the pool, the staff, emmmm - the food! Sheer bliss.
Honestly, it's really difficult to say anything bad about this place.
Best sleep we have experienced in a very long time. Room is very clean and has all the needed comforts. Grounds are gorgeous and the castle spectacular in structure. Staff was great.
We had no complaints during our stay.
The food was amazing Staff very friendly Suite was excellent
Having to walk outside to leisure facilities. One little mix up on spa
excellent location with very friendly, approachable staff. lovely statues around the grounds and hotel
service in the bar at the weekend was not as responsive as during the week-probably due to a wedding, anniversary party and full restaurant.
Everything in the hotel just showed the quality of a well run hotel. Everything was just great
The only problem we had was there was no coffee in our room but this was recified very quickly by staff
The bike riding, the spa, the pool, the casual dining and the room with fireplace!
Not having little necessities available for purchase, items such as aspirin. A small canteen store could make these available along with other items for sale.
The bedrooms, the parlours with real fires, the statues throughout the hotel and the grounds, everything was wonderful.
Nothing - had super time
Some of the staff were incredibly nice and friendly. The room was spacious and lovely. Enjoyed the pool facilities
For being a 5 star hotel, I had high expectations but found the staff was hit or miss. A lot of bugs in our room and throughout the hotel. The spa cancelled my appointment and I didn't have available time to reschedule.
Everything was perfect staff rooms location grounds.
The personal touches, the staff address you by name, they are very attentive and pleasant. The food in Cedar's grill although pricey is brilliant.
The staff are absolutely top notch in this hotel as are the facilities, the comfort and the fireplaces! We couldn't have been looked after better, the staff are genuinely lovely people. Would recommend as a winter break in particular as it has a lovely cosy vibe to it. Also a truly beautiful location on Lough Eske, recommend borrowing a bike and taking a ride around the area as the views are breathtaking.
The only negative during our stay was the 25 minute wait to get in for breakfast on the Sunday morning, as the hotel was very busy. This was still an absolutely five star experience however so it's a very minor point on what was a fantastic weekend break.
Stunning hotel stunning location and the staff where lovely. I took my partner now fiance for his Birthday. Little did I know what he had in store for me... Its so peaceful and beautiful the food was excellent
Nothing at all no faults
Pretty much every thing the drive into the grounds the castle itself the staff in all areas cannot be faulted they are the friendliest people of any hotel we have ever stayed in and make the hotel what it is deserving of the five stars for the staff alone the pool and walks around the hotel make for a relaxing time very enjoyable indeed hope to return soon
Our stay was too short
The epitome of luxury, a beautiful place full of excellent people (employees), I will certainly be back and cannot recommend enough!! :)
The location and relaxed atmosphere, staff were very helpful, attentive and friendly
Evening meal in restaurant was not of a standard expected from 5 star hotel, disappointed that room was not cleaned every day, no fresh sheets or towels provided.
Fantastic setting, excellent staff
Nothing I didn't like
The hotel was really beautiful, so nice to see an old place get a new lease of life and what a great job they did, staff were very helpful and friendly.
Everything about it...Views amazing, Staff were the best staff we've ever met anywhere in the world, Rooms were airy and v comfortable. ..Can't wait to return
The restaurant and staff in there also the spa and therapists in solis who were all fabulous, couldn't be more attentive or considerate. Cocktails lovely and nice areas to relax however needed as room to hot to sit in. Would only return if got a great deal as not worth the money for the accommodation and will tell other friends and family the same
Front desk need a lesson on how to meet and greet with an awful attitude ,not forthcoming with any information on meals etc or directions to spa and facilities, no apparent valet or available bell boys to do what we had assumed that they were there for , heat in room on 2nd floor totally unbearable and seems to be ongoing , ruined our night therefore no sleep with one broken fan and another poor fan. Informed guy who took us to room and reception who were not that bothered. Room tired and needs revamp ,coffee stains on carpet ,not value for money in comparison to other genuine 5 star hotels and not a wow factor experience more a good 3,very, very disappointing and front desk not very perceptive in seeing when guests not impressed ,customer relations not high on agenda but maybe should be so here's hoping. ....
From the time we arrived we felt special. The staff, the room everything was fantastic. I would recommend to anyone, the entire hotel is fantastic an we thoroughly enjoyed it
I was travelling with my girlfriend and all the staff made a massive effort to make us feel really welcome!
Nothing. The price is quite dear but in Ireland to get that standard of service the price warrants the experience
Beautiful hotel lovely setting and furniture etc beautiful rooms
Normal doubled bedded rooms had a duck down duvet topper as a mattress which was like sleeping on a bouncy castle. The rooms were too hot both rooms we stayed in. I had to get up during the night and open the windows or doors wide to get some air I was really upset to stay some where so nice and not get a good nights sleep.
Location, rooms with external doors, very friendly staff.
Paintwork a bit grubby. Didn't feel like a castle.
Impossible to put into words how incredible this place is. The hotel and its employees go that extra mile in terms of service and facilities. We cane here on our honeymoon and it was easily the best hotel experience I've ever had. We will be back!
Absolutely nothing we didn't like. Not a bad word to say.
