Right on pedestrian street so close to everything Staff, especially Colin Haggarty were very friendly & accommodating
Very smelly elevator No parking No WiFi in rooms, had to go downstairs to lobby or into bar
The bar and bar staff were amazing!! The band was fantastic!
The room was old and falling apart. The beds were incredibly uncomfortable and the carpet was old and needed to be cleaned.
Noise in morning from street. Could do with redecoration.
Room was fair enough. Good water pressure. room was not too hot, as we were there in mid September. A fan would be nice for warmer evenings. Location was good, staff pleasant enough. I would go back, but probably would not stay on a weekend, especially in the front. I can imagine it gets rather noisy then.
carpet was in bad shape. asked for a double, got a triple room. Still workable, as only two of us for one night. No WIFI in the rooms.
Location is excellent...surrounded by bars and restaurants
First hotel that I have ever stayed in anywhere in the world that doesn't serve breakfast!!!!!!!
It didn't bother me to have music and crowds outside late at night because I wear earplugs. But it might bother a light sleeper. It was a perfect place in the center of Galway's old town.
the bouncer told me I wasn't staying at the hotel and was quite rude. I showed my room card but he said all the hotels have the same room card which I find strange.
The location is right on the main street of Galway city with easy access to the many shops and restaurants. Our room was not on the street side so we didn't hear any noise from the street.
This hotel was located in the middle of the city center and was very easy to stumble back to at the end of the night. Our room quite large, with 2 twin beds and one large bed. This worked for us because we were a young couple traveling alone. They had a small lift that you could use with your baggage.
The light in our room would flicker and go out so it was impossible to use. It wasn't a big deal during the day because of the window but made it difficult to see at night. The elevator and stairwells had a very musty smell but the room was fine.
staff very good
room some what small
Just the location nothing else
It was filthy and very run down and old
Great bar always have great bands on.
The lift was stinking not sure if it was the carpet or not, stairway not much better. Location great but don't think a quad room was worth 200 euro and they don't do breakfast
The room was clean and comfortable but was not available until almost 4.o'clock in the afternoon on date of check in. Good clean bathroom also.
The lift was unbearably smelly so much so that I used the stairs on day 2 to avoid it. There is no WiFi available upstairs, have to use bar downstairs for WiFi. Had room at front of the building which was noisy and was woken at 6.
Location great. Parking close by at reasonable cost. Desk staff very helpful.
Lumpy beds, noisy all night as staff are working in the pub below.
It's in the heart of the buzz!
No residents bar.
Location car parking live music in bar
Mattress worn out with springs making bed uncomfortable. Damp carpet in room from wet & dry vac Steam in bathroom as no ventilation installed. bad smell in lift
A great location in the middle of the Latin Quarter. Good value for money.
Shopping, plenty of entertainment every nite, a good buzz around everyday and every nite.
Location Fuss free reception 24 hour reception
Didn't look like that booked triple room .. was given quad but couldn't be moved to twin as only two of us arrived .
Nothing really. Everything was just fine. Decent value for money.
Excellent staff...comfortable beds...great bar downstairs.
noisey very late at night
The location is fantastic
The room was very crowded, no aircon and not very clean.
We loved the location of the Spanish Arch being right in the heartbeat of Galway. PThe prking garage close by made it easy to access with luggage and the staff was friendly and helpful. Unfortunately for us we were camped right above the street and so never really fell asleep! Between the cigarette smoke and the early morning reveling we couldn't get much rest. Earplugs helped but for me the smoke was icky. It was very cool to be able to share a room between the 4 of us. Some matresses were alright, some not so good. If you are young, traveling in a group, smoke and party, this is the place for you!! If you are older, want comfort and quiet after a night out on the town look elsewhere. I am happy to have the experience but probably would try another place next time. Oh the wi-fi wasn't working while we were there. Pleasent staff for sure!
The location was excellent and we got fresh towels every day and the room was grand. The staff were lovely and helpful.
The reception area was a disgrace it needs total redecorating and cleaning. If I walked in off the street to book a room I would walk back out. The price per night went up €30 over the few days we stayed there.
