Lift has a stale smell and is very shaky
location is perfect, right in the middle of shop street where its all happening, very reasonable rates, car parking next door in jury`s for 10euro a night, no one banging on your door at 12 o clock next day to kick u out. perfect for group of lads, dunno if its the best place for a family to relax
walls a bit thin, could hear everything....

This hotel delivers you into the heart of Galway. You walk out the door into intense atmosphere. The best of Galway surrounds you. Great food houses, proper pubs, and the best of music. If you want a leisure centre and a butler with room service, then pay the money elsewhere for one. What this hotel does well is offer the essentials, (comfort, cleanliness and location) at a rate you wouldn't get from a b&b 1 mile outside the centre.
No complaints. It served my needs perfectly
Location is excellent! You are right in the middle of the action.Staff on reception were very welcoming and helpful. Room was a good size for myself and two friends. There are a lot of restaurants in the area. We really enjoyed our visit to Galway.
Hotel is in need of an update/decoration.
The Spanish Arch is just where you want to be in Galway. Surrounded by restaurants & bars. Our first floor room looked out over the street, with surprisingly little noise. The pub band was a nice distraction. Although breakfast wasn't an option the Costa coffee shop a couple of doors down did the job. Car parking was discounted and also very close. Conor was an excellent host and a wealth of information.
Large mould growth on wall over mirror and very grubby mattress protectors, very slow and dirty elevator.
Location was ideal for visitors
not having breakfast served was a major drawback
Nice clean room.
Disappointed that we could not get breakfast the next morning even though food was available the evening before when we arrived.
Location. Friendly staff.
Food. Very noisy. Hard bed. Cold bedroom. Wifi only on ground floor (which is mainly bar). Reception unmanned for most of my stay. No phone in room.
Hotel in general
The hotel could do with a face lift and a good clean
I have stayed here often and as always the reception and bar staff are kind and helpful. The room is nice and bed is so comfy. Location is perfect.
None I can think of.
Location is excellent, very near all bars and restaurants
The staff (Julie) were absolutely amazing. We were transferred to another hotel due to the noise from the nightclub opposite.
The hotel is opposite a new nightclub which caters for students. We were not informed about this and on our first night had no sleep due to the noise outside the hotel.
Everything is literally right there within walking distance. Pub adjacent to property.
Being so close to the action means you hear street noise and music late into the evening and then delivery/garbage trucks early in the morning. But nothing earplugs won't fix.
We thought the hotel had become very shabby since our last visit. Threadbare carpets on stairs as an example..... needs refurbishment. We thought it was expensive for what we got..... could get Jurys for a few quid more but more modern.
