Staff location &comfortable bed :)
Wouldn't be great for children as street gets quite noisy .
Location the bar
Connor is extremely helpful, all staff are polite and the location is second to none. Bit pricey for what it was and wifi only available in the bar but don't let that put you off. Great place to stay if you fancy a few crazy nights! And Connor will look after you if you want to take a trip to the cliffs or father teds house!
Wifi was poor. Music was loud some nights but this was to be expected! Location was perfect so it was always going to be loud!
Stinky elevator and no wi fi in room
Location cannot be faulted. When I complained and informed of my early departure I was given a refund without any hassle. Good customer service.
Spanish Arch was once a fantastic hotel. It is no longer. It is nothing more than a hostel. Room 403. Disgustingly filthy carpets, windows that did not properly close. Horribly sagging beds. The hotel describes itself as having elegantly furnished rooms. This is a lie. We were placed above the live music area. Could not sleep until 1am.
This is the place to stay if you want to be at the centre of things. There is great live music in the hotel but if you fancy a change just step outside. There are 5 or 6 restaurants in view from the front step. The staff are just super friendly.
Spotless, location was great, bed comfortable and staff were so helpful and friendly. I would definitely come back
Excellent location and parking facilities
The rooms are very good but the rest of the hotel is tired and needs to be painted. The price of the drinks in the bar were the most expensive of all the pubs we visited. Also the bar manager started to put the bar stools up on the shelf at 9.45 which made us very uncomfortable and not at all welcome. We asked what time he was closing and his reply was in about 1 hour.
RECEPIONIST VERY NICE...ROOM NEAR LIFT..COMFY BED..OWNER AFTER BUYIN MY FRIENDS PUB N WRSTPORT...SHUD HAV MET HIM..HA..THANKS FOR EVERYTHING.. :)
Location was good as it was convenient to local amenities, i.e. shops, restaurants, nightlife etc.
Location is superb Price was cheap 99euro between 4 Hassle free check in
Lovely staff,great location
Lift has a stale smell and is very shaky
location is perfect, right in the middle of shop street where its all happening, very reasonable rates, car parking next door in jury`s for 10euro a night, no one banging on your door at 12 o clock next day to kick u out. perfect for group of lads, dunno if its the best place for a family to relax
walls a bit thin, could hear everything....
Excellent location Good value for the price.
Stated they had residents bar which they dont Rooms were very warm.
Really hot water in shower great presure
Picture over bed
This hotel delivers you into the heart of Galway. You walk out the door into intense atmosphere. The best of Galway surrounds you. Great food houses, proper pubs, and the best of music. If you want a leisure centre and a butler with room service, then pay the money elsewhere for one. What this hotel does well is offer the essentials, (comfort, cleanliness and location) at a rate you wouldn't get from a b&b 1 mile outside the centre.
No complaints. It served my needs perfectly
Location is excellent! You are right in the middle of the action.Staff on reception were very welcoming and helpful. Room was a good size for myself and two friends. There are a lot of restaurants in the area. We really enjoyed our visit to Galway.
Hotel is in need of an update/decoration.
The Spanish Arch is just where you want to be in Galway. Surrounded by restaurants & bars. Our first floor room looked out over the street, with surprisingly little noise. The pub band was a nice distraction. Although breakfast wasn't an option the Costa coffee shop a couple of doors down did the job. Car parking was discounted and also very close. Conor was an excellent host and a wealth of information.
Large mould growth on wall over mirror and very grubby mattress protectors, very slow and dirty elevator.
Location was ideal for visitors
not having breakfast served was a major drawback
Nice clean room.
Disappointed that we could not get breakfast the next morning even though food was available the evening before when we arrived.
Location. Friendly staff.
Food. Very noisy. Hard bed. Cold bedroom. Wifi only on ground floor (which is mainly bar). Reception unmanned for most of my stay. No phone in room.
