Room was satisfactory, Clean and neatly presented.

Check in was a total disaster. One receptionist trying to multi task and deal with clients. There was a problem with money also which was not resolved. The room we were booked into was not ready and we had to be allotted a different room. Im the confusion I did not receive the change of 100 euros despite declarations to the contrary by the staff. There was a function nearby and the noise levels were not conducive to sleeping.

Was there for a christening on bank hol weekend, food was amazeing, very good, staff were well presented and friendly.

Breakfast in the morning was good, only blemish was that the cups and saucers were dirty, and so were some of the plates. Hotel room was fine only problem is that the walls are only partitioned, so we had a group of people next door to us and they were very noisy and we couldn't get a nights sleep.

Location is good - Out of City but close enough.

Booked a Wheelchair room but did not get one. Was given a room by the receptionist that was on 2nd floor but there was steps down to it, obviously, she did not have her mind on the task at hand. Refused that! All their rooms have very narrow Bathroom doors that even a slim Wheelchair will not fit into, ended up have to carry my Wife into there. There was no Smoking area except outside the Bar area which is across from the Main entrance, long journey for smoker in a chair. The lid on our room kettle was broken and the cracks in it were black which shows that it is a long time like that. Children were running around the corridors uncontrolled until Midnight, maybe its a Saturday Night thing there!

Overall service received from Reception to Bar staff was very welcoming.

We decided to order a small bite to eat at the bar after golfing & ordered a portion of Chicken wings, Breaded mushrooms with garlic dip & a small burger with chips between us ready for the FA Cup final KO but unfortunately, this was disgusting with the wings looking like they had been re-cooked, tasting awful & the smell made my stomach churn. The mushrooms were full of water & the garlic dip smelled sour, the burger small, overdone & dry & the chips frozen and soggy (only positive was the peppered sauce which I was able to dip some soggy chips into). Needless to say my w-end was ruined when I had to return to my hotel hotel room shortly afterwards to be violently sick on a number of occassions as a result of what I had attempted to eat earlier. I quietly informed the reception at checkout the next morning of my horrible experience (think I referred to it as Ramsey Kitchen Nighmare) & they asked if I had reported the incident at the time? I said I was not inclined to do so as it would have been embarrassing and we could see the waitress was extremely busy serving dinner guests. I was then told it would be reported and the hotel would be in touch with me to discuss further (which they have not done to date). I decided to pay the receptionist for the horrible experience we had endured. I am sure this is not a reoccurring concern and certainly not the fault of the other staff who looked after us very well during our stay, but I have since been to the doctor with stomach cramps & have taken a week off work to recuperate (food poisoning, who knows)? For what its worth, we found a cafe in Lexlip on the sunday morning where my friend thoroughly enjoyed a proper full Irish breakfast and did not become ill, but I could not eat anything due to my illness. The friendlyness & welcome from the staff may encourage me to stay again without any food being ordered though.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were cold as we live in the tropics and asked for a heater. This was no trouble and they couldn't be more accommodating and helpful. Easy access to Dublin and surrounding countryside. .

the exterior was nice the staff was helpful. the breakfast was ok.

we were looking forward to a nice stay here since the reviews were great and the pictures looked good as well. here it is take it as you will: the sheets had stains on them, there was hair on the pillow cases, on the bes cover underneath the sheets had a blood stain on it. our bathroom had hair in the sink and bathtub as well as garbage full of tissues. the teapot had water in it that was left and a slightly brown algae. i hope that others stay is better than ours.

Spacious room and staff eager to please

Lack of attention to detail .. No bulbs in reading lamps, heating pipes very noisy. Breakfast generous and well cooked but not very good quality ingredients. bar meal we had there was really bland and disappointing .

I have to admit i stayed here a month ago and gave this place a poor rating due to the fact there were not many about for whatever reason. This time my rating has increased as i saw a totally different approach and this was a big improvement to come back again.

Im afraid the staff could have been more friendly. At breakfast 10 minutes to wait to be seated, not the fault of the staff as she was teh only one there. Reception was moderate. Bar staff was ok, but a smile would be pleasant.

Very friendly and efficient staff, spotlessly clean. We booked thru Booking.com and felt we got a good deal.

We felt that the booze was over-priced. Also the bar menu said 6 sausages and chips was 8.50 but we were charged 9.50. I know these are minor details and would not stop me staying there again - I would just drink elsewhere.

Had dinner in restaurant which was not great. Also there probably wasn't a person in the restaurant under 60 when I was there yet the pop music radio station was turned up extremely high I finished my meal as quickly as I could and left. I couldn't have a shower as the water was boiling and I couldn't control it.

I found my stay there very good. From walking in the door the staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. Food was great. Very comfortable room. Very clean. Felt very welcome. Would definitely stay again. Thankyou.

Just one tiny little small thing which is really of no consequence. I could not get a cappucino with my breakfast next morning
