I found this hotel to be terrible. We arrived at the hotel at 12 pm and was told that the room was not available until later on in the day. There was no room to put our bags at reception (like all the other hotels that we've ever stayed in) so we had to pay for the lockers downstairs. Upon returning to the hotel at 2 pm, we were told that our room had 'maintenance' issues and that we will be moved to another hotel. The substitute hotel was horrible. It was upstairs from a loud pub so it was noisy at night, incredibly hard to find based on misleading instructions, and you could not sleep. The bathroom had no soup/shampoo in it, there was hair in the tub, there was grim around the toilet bowl and there was no way of contacting reception from the room. The taxi driver told us that they regularly do this (esp when you book at a good rate) so be careful, the hotel you book may not be the one you will get.

spacey and well equipped apartment Totally incompetent staff. Upon the arrival I was told there is no booking on my name - that in spite of the fact that they charged me for the accommodation three month in advance!!! I was first asked to wait, then to prove that I really paid and only after more than one hour they admitted that the apartment was paid and I was given the keys. Upon the departure I requested a receipt - even after more than 10 min they were not able to give me one. Then I was told the receipt will be sent to me by e-mail. And - of course - they have not sent me anything!!!! Very disappointing.

We got the apartment at discount price, we thought it was better value than any other hotel. With the stylish apartment we could relax in space and comfort was great! Everything provided in the kitchen, it was nice to have a living room and balcony. Staff were lovely and helpful when we needed them, but you can keep yourselves to yourselves in these apartments which felt better than a hotel. I would stay again definately! The 10 euro an hour to keep the room after 11am, too expensive and we were gutted as we had all day to pass.

It was fairly central and was really good value for money. The flats themselves were extremely clean and well maintained. Also the beds were amazingly comfortable! Only one bathroom between 8 people was a bit of a pain, especially as there was anough room for a second bathroom or for one of the rooms to be en-suite. Also maybe a few more seats as there was only enough seats in the living room for 4. We also found the luggage storage situation a pain as half of the lockers didn't work so we couldn't store half of our suitcases. We checked out at 11am and then weren't flying til 9.30pm that nights so needed to store luggage somewhere. We ended up having to put them behind reception but the receptionist wasn't very happy about that, although wasn't actually our fault!

It has parking, is close to certain places, is got all the essentials for a family to cover the needs for a few days, the freedom to go and came back at any time, if you have any problem you can get it sort in the reception with manners and respect from the person at the desk. Is been a surprise to me that over the years I always chose to came back to this apartments, still a bit of a challenge the fat that it doesn't look as clean anymore. Is things like the curtains and windows need to be clean to make the rest look cleaner, or move the furniture every so often that visitors don't fine certain things under beds or sofas, when traveling with kids cleanliness of the space to use is the most important, jet the kids will always play on floors and touch places and staff in the room that adults wouldn't even notice they were there.

The staff was very friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. The apartment was a spacious and the rooms large. I also liked how you could not get into the Block e courtyard without going through reception and needed a separate key for entry. The hot water instructions were hidden in the closet. They should be posted outside the door - we took cold showers the first day.

We spent Christmas as a family (6 people) in Dublin. We rented penthouse apartment and space was perfectly distributed. Apartment was arm, spacious, well equiped and cozy. It was reasonably close to the centre and allowed us to stroll around, as well as having a aditional Christmas diner at home. Also good to have reception 24h/24h: there were few (small) hicups, such as non- functioning tv/ remote, clogged sink, etc., that were notified to reception and swiftly fixed. Perhaps it should have been cleaned more throughouly before our stay. Walls of corridor were stained with foot prints and children hand- marks and that should be fixed on long run. Also, terrace door- window did not close properly and hould have been fixed. One bathroom sink was clogged when we arrived but staff fixed it promptely when notified.

The staff was always friendly and helpful. The price was fair, and the few "extras" we encountered (early am check-in and extra towels) were fair and not exhorbitant. It was splendid having free Wi-Fi and also having a washer-dryer in the room. There were a few issues with door lock maintenance, but these were promptly dealt with and did not pose a major inconvenience. The location was convenient for our needs. The taxi service available was also prompt and reliable. In short, many positives, and no real negatives.

Good sized apartment with most facilities I needed. Some problems with bathroom plumbing were evident - handbowl took a long time to empty and plug had no chain. Bath difficult oo access due to the perspex screen.

The staff were very accommodating. We arrived early on Saturday morning at around 9.30 and they were more than willing to check us in early and we got an upgrade to a 2 bed apartment instead of a 1 bed apartment. The only down fall was the hot water system. We wanted to have a shower but there was no hot water. We rang reception and found out we needed to turn on the booster to the hot water tank and wait 30 mins for the water to heat up. Also the hot water booster only stays on for 2 hrs so u have to keep an eye on it and make sure you turn it on 30 mins prior to having a shower.

The appartment was very big but very grubby. Dirty carpets and Walls. Dreary settee and armchairs. No plugs near mirrors - not good for drying hair. Mirrors in bedrooms screwed to wall. Very noisy. Caters for hen and stag parties so extremely noisy Had booked two nights but booked out after one. Reception didn't even question my departure. Didn't want to make fuss and just left. Booked another hotel at own expense. Would never go back there.

We travelled with a young baby and found the staff to be very helpful. It was great to have the space to spread out at such an affordable price. It made travelling very easy. If I ever returned to Dublin I would stay there again. What is it with Irish and their Fire Doors???? It is the only country to torture you with one difficult to move door after another especially if you have luggage or a stroller. It makes it hard to come and go. This is not just at the Augustine Apartments but just in Ireland.
