The Hotel is very conveniently located, in a safe and very good area, central, with lots of public transportation optinons (bus, train, cab). The price was very affordable considering the hotel itself and the provided services. The breakfest was huge, delicious and always in time. The hotel staff was extremly friendly and helpfull (all shifts). The room very clean, spacious enough, warm and 24/7 hot water. The hotel, room and lounge design is very beautifull and warm, gives the impression of a luxury mansion and the comfort of your home. last but not least, the hotel, rooms, lounge, washrooms are very, very clean. I will definately recommend it to all types of travellers. I will go back if I will travel to Dublin again.

Our stay in Dublin started off by having our car clamped, although we had endeavored to follow the parking requirements. We did have a valid parking time/permit, albeit display upside-down (we didn't realize, or comprehend what we were doing at the time just yet.... Jet lag, unfamiliar with the process, etc). Your desk clerk did a tremendous job attempting to help us out with this problem. He was furious that we had been clamped, made calls for us, complained on our behalf, was indignant, and generally pissed off at the company who clamped us, and at the Dublin City Council for having such a law that made new visitors feel taken. In short, he said all the things we felt, but couldn't express at the time. We had to pay, but he made us feel as though we were at least understood. Your other desk clerk helped us park in your car park--a feat we also couldn't yet accomplish, because we weren't used to the steering wheel, the side of the road, the size of the car, and the size of the parking space. Thank you from two sisters and one daughter.

location is good, do not need a bus to go anywhere. The windows in the room aren't double glazed, so the room is cold and it can be noisy at night.

I found the Hotel to be most fair, my sister-in-law had also booked a room , but at the last minute she was unable to travel on her Doctor's advice. However , it was too late to give the hotel any notice of this and they were most fair in not applying their ' no show'1st Night charge.

It was a nice, clean, comfortable hotel with the character of an old building. It was set up well for a large family, and they were very helpful with little things like tea/coffee, parking, and directions, etc.

It is conveniently located, reasonably priced for its location, and it is in a traditional building with character. The downstairs lounge was comfortable.

Mainly the staff and the value for money. Location is also ok for sight seers but a little rough around the edges at night. Also some off road parking. The breakfast itself and the service was very good. I would use this hotel again for short stays in Dublin Hotel was ideal for value overnighter in Dublin but local area wasa bit rough in places, not enough to put me off though.

I chose the Hotel St George because of it's location-easy access to the Center City sites and the non-complicated route to the airport. That and the fact there is free parking when available at the hotel was a perfect combination for us as first time Dublin visitors. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful in answering questions, plus they gave easy to follow directions. It also appeared that the hotel had been going through some up dating as our bathroom looked new. The fact that the windows could open to let in fresh air was an unexpected bonus. I offer my suggestion not as a complaint but rather an improvement on what the Hotel St George is. You have a very appealing lobby, pub and dining area, especially for people who like the traditional style. If that attention to style and period could be carried over into the individual sleeping accommodations, it would be more personal like a b & B. The lobby colors have already been used in the individual rooms so the additions I am referring to are as simple as adding a few paintings and table lamps. The high over the bed lights were sometimes too much light and could not be used without effecting the other person in the bed. Please, do not use these comments in any written form. They are suggestions only.

Location is fantastic for seeing Dublin and everything within walking distance. Staff were very welcoming and hotel has a homely feel. Parking available although very tight and you have to leave car keys with staff who move cars around to meet the needs of hotel patrons. Good breakfast with other choices if you don't want the full Irish breakfast. It is an old hotel and room decor was a bit old and tired. Ensuite very small but shower excellent. Family room small and quite cramped. Very little space for luggage.

Staff were nice, breakfast was good as well I suffer from ms and had asked when I booked for a room with easy access, what I got was a room on the sixth floor (in the attic), and the sixth floor had to be accessed from the fifth floor by way of stairs, not ideal when you have some walking difficulties
