Very nice staff. Always ready to help. They are very helpful. Clean and comfortable room. Perfect stay. We were not disappointed!
friendly greeting from receptionist. Private parking facilities. Quick efficenctity of catering staff. Breakfast lovely. bedroom lovely an warm all night.
Lovely staff at the reception, very service minded and friendly! The full Irish breakfast is wonderful.
Freezing bathroom and drafty room, the safe didn't work, bad service at breakfast - even when they saw you arrive the staff just remained where they were, chatting to each other. After waiting alone in the breakfast room more than a few minutes I had to fetch them and ask to please order - two mornings out of three.
Staff were friendly and welcoming. Rooms were warm and comfortable. Breakfast was awesome. For a budget hotel the Hotel St George was great and within just 10 minutes walk of Temple Bar and lots of other attractions. Just a couple of minutes from shops, pubs, restaurants and the tour buses. Would definitely stay again.
The bathroom was a bit basic. No heating or extractor fan, but shower was powerful and hot which is a huge plus and although basic, the bathroom was functional which is the important thing.
The staff were very friendly The hotel was well heated Wifi Comfortable bed A big lounge to sit in whilst we waited for our flight home They let us go to our room early as it was ready early Amazing location
The breakfast could be improved The hotel was to our taste, some guests may find it dated but we felt this was compensated for in the price.
Staff were friendly, hotel was nice, if a little shabby and in need of redecoration. Nice ambience in breakfast room.
O'Connell Street area is quite rough. Hotel decor is a little shabby. Weekend restaurant staff were unhelpful and not very friendly, and gluten free cornflakes were completely stale. Weekday staff were better.
Location excellent very close to shops and bars.
Room was too small and very basic Breakfast was terrible and service was too slow
Friendly staff, secure parking.
The Breakfast is pretty amazing, there's a buffet, but you can also order a full Irish Breakfast for free. The Staff is really nice and helpful, always willing to help and always smiling. The location, close to everything ( O Connell street is only a few meters away) and at the same time in a pretty quiet area ( Parnell square).
Hotel is very central. Cannot fault the hotel itself. Breakfast was excellent, my room (Room 101) was lovely and spacious on ground floor with a double bed and a single bed. (other's in our party were on the 2nd floor and their rooms were double rooms (twin beds) and adequate in size). The rooms were cleaned every day and fresh towels provided on each day. Usual tea/coffee/hairdryer available and loads of wardrobe space etc. I would highly recommend the Viking Spash tour and also The Parnell Heritage Bar & Grill (a few mins walk away from hotel). If in the Temple area, I would highly recommend The Quays Irish Restaurant - food is lovely and reasonably priced and atmosphere is excellent.
One particular lady at reception was not very helpful. This is the only down side. Firstly we asked about local buses on the Saturday morning to take us to St Stephen's Green. She didnt know and simply told us to go outside and look at the bus boards. Asked if we could order taxis from the hotel and she told us no, again telling us to go outside and start walking. On the Saturday evening she phoned the "party girl" room and told her that there was a limo waiting for her - which was a surprise !! and then just giggled and said Sorry, did I ruin the surprise. She knew we were on a party weekend on the Friday when we arrived..... we all had balloons etc. She should have asked privately for me on the phone as i organised the whole trip and it was my name on the whole bookings.
First time in Dublin and the staff were really friendly and the hotel was clean and comfortable. Really close to everything you want to do and see. Breakfast was always nice. All in all really good place to stay and good value for money.
excellent location, friendly staff, good breakfast, adequate for one night
not very clean, slightly worn out.
friendly and helpful staff nice location , close to many amenities and the city centre the hotel has kept some of the original features of the building that gives a lot of character on the common rooms
nothing really to mention as a negative
location comfort calm friendly satisfactory breakfast but I left my glasses in my room :(
Just, soundproof not good
So close to centre. Staff were lovely and room was clean and comfortable. Very good value for money and will definatly use again next year.
Hairdryer not working
Central location, friendly and helpful staff, clean and comfortable room, parking, decent breakfast, value for money.
Friendly staff. Good location.
Dining room. Not inviting!
Perfect location, lovely staff. Clean comfortable and warm bedrooms, with lovely decor. I have stayed twice now and will definately return, the breakfast is also lovely, couldn't ask for more
The location was very good and the breakfast was excellent. The staff were helpful and friendly. The overall impression is good and this is a perfectly adequate hotel for stopping over in Dublin for a couple of days.
The room was very small although this is to be expected as it was a single. There was a bit of a musty smell in the room and the hall door type latch on the door seemed very outdated.
Almost no heat in the room, poor location of electric outlets, shower resulted in water over most of the bathroom, bedcovers so short they could not be made to adequately cover shoulders for warmth, uncomfortable bed, sullen staff at front desk, torn rug in room, "down-at-heels" appearance, hair drier only blew cool air.
Staff where very friendly and nothing was to much
Very friendly staff and excellent location only a short walk from the center of Dublin.
The bathroom was a bit dated.
Breakfast was fabulous. The staff are really helpful.
TV Signal very poor
